I have been using AA brokers for many years. My insurance is good anywhere in Thailand. Renewal is via bank deposit and sending them fresh photos of your bike via email (generally in response to the renewal email), well at least for class 1 insurance.

Sinthani will do house calls, as long as they know the brand / model in advance.

Quote: The thick blanket of smokes prevented the workers from getting out of the B2 basement because there is a special exit and the workers might not be familiar with the exit.
So indirectly admitting to not carrying out regular safely briefings (OH&S) to keep employees refreshed on emergency / exit plans? Sad -
In post # 13 photo, the lady in the corner is doing sign language. Can someone translate?
I'm fairly certain that she is 'signing' what their new responsbilities will be at Bang Kwang Central

But they're more fun on the road. I have 999S which is a beast, but I wouldn't mind owning a R.E. 500 Bulllet. A pilot friend of mine had one in the Middle East. Paint was excellent, British Racing Green. Nice, reliable and not a track bike, but for cruising about and not being in a hurry, a great bike. [emoji106] [emoji4]
Ducatis look cool too when parked at Starbucks
But very cool looking.Just about the crappiest motor cycle one can imagine.
Build quality wise it's terrible.

We met the artist/designer many years ago. Really nice guy. The upkeep has to be supported somehow. I would hate to imagine the dollar/baht value of the facility. Is there government support financially, no idea? For the smiles on my family's faces, I'm happy to pay a small compensation for that.

Let me know when you go, as I need some axle grease
papa will remember that the next time his scythe needs fixing. Why people want a 1950's technology ride when you can have a modern one with good handling, excellent brakes, outstanding reliability. Sure you can fix a RE on any Indian street corner, just like an oxcart and a scythe.

My family is looking forward to getting away from it all for a month. Warm, dry, clear, middle east atmosphere. Well where I am anyway

Thanks, I see that you posted an update
We left before the balloons launched. I posted pictures of what I did see in the other thread.
Hi VF, did you see any balloons in attendance at the festival? The restaurant at Singha Park was packed today. They even make a great cup of coffee.

Power back on as of noon today, still stable
-
My wife found out that the main transformer in Wiang Chai blew up. New one coming from Bangkok. Power may be intermittent, with grid changes / sharing, but it did come back on before. Who knows for how long
-
We lost power last night around 08:25pm and the issue still has not been resolved as I type this info. I guess a major power conduit must have been taken out by someone or something. Hope the local authorities can get it fixed soon.

Okay, I am now positive that our chickens are aliens. Yesterday it was 8○c, drizzling rain and a breeze, so maybe even cooler wind chill wise. I walk outside on our upstairs veranda and I see the Rooster and several of his girlfriends clucking away and rooting up the ground for snacks. I know the feathers give them some insulation, but they looked half drowned. Well they're still here today, so I guess they breed them tough up this way.

Silk linen is surprisingly warm. While I am walking around inside the house with more clothing than I have ever worn in Thailand, I have been sleeping naked the last two nights in these amazing new bed linens we just brought back from Bangkok and I don’t feel cold at all.

Reverse cycle AC. Nice and toasty in the bedroom

I'll bring a spoon
I'll bring the loaf (un sliced).Good day for soup.... couple of chicken pieces out of the freezer, some old veggies from the back of the fridge, bunch of celery fortunately bought last week from the Royal Project shop.
Handful of macaroni noodles added and a can of Campbell's Chicken Broth, left to simmer the afternoon away.

Rained out my way yesterday afternoon and drizzled off and on through out the night. Cold spell coming through this week. It's 10○c here in Wiang Nuea right now, strong wind not helping. Reverse cycle AC has it plus's

I always enjoy the cool season. I'll be home at the end of this month for a couple of weeks. So looking forward to that fresh, cool, rural smell to the air and of course the visual candy of being around green foliage again [emoji3]I love this weather and will enjoy every fleeting moment of it.

Could you imagine, large scale mobile incinerators with the systems in place as you suggestLike with drinking beer or illicit sex, sometimes some burning is ok. If a person has brush to burn (for example: a pile of sticks from pruning) then it would be better to burn now, then in two months when the air is dirtier. Smoke from fires is not good, but not as bad as toxic chemicals or city smog. Many ordinary household items (and interior of cars and buildings) have toxic fumes. People generally don't equate consumer items with toxicity, so it's easier to point to dried weeds burning as problematic for lungs. Sure, too much burning is bad, but look at it in the overall perspective of what's breathed in.
P.S. I have 2 designs for contraptions which could lessen particulate (smog) large scale. Useful for inner cities, in particular. Am low income, so can't afford to make prototypes, even though they would be low cost. If anyone wants to buddy-up on building prototypes, let me know. Each uses passive solar.
