The issue is with rubbishing the AZ vaccine and claiming it is "quasi-effective" to score political points, and then trying to keep as much (i.e. hoard) of the same "quasi-ineffective" AZ vaccine as you can.
Again, that’s not true. None of the countries that you call “hoarding” something has “rubbished” the vaccine “to score political points”.
Some countries have questioned the effectiveness regarding the elderly (>65yo).

I'm glad you finally got there.
I don’t necessarily agree to call that “hoarding”, but then I don’t understand why you’re getting so obsessed about EU countries doing what the UK and other countries are doing.

Here is the evidence. The clue is in the headline.
There’s no evidence for the EU or France hoarding anything.
If you want to go back and change your claim to “EU may extend export controls” then we can agree.

They are extending vaccine controls. You can lie and say they aren't as many times as you like but please check the topic of the thread if you need confirmation.
You claimed the EU and France are hoarding vaccines. That’s not true. Provide evidence for you assertion.

Better off than without the EU. You were commenting on impact of EU membership on vaccinations, weren’t you?

The EU is hoarding (by extending export controls of) the AZ vaccine, not Macron. Hope that clarifies.
Neither the EU nor Macron are hoarding anything.
1 hour ago, JonnyF said:Despite the usual cheerleaders on TV, back in the real world EU citizens have noticed what a screw up the EU has made of this.
Most of EU citizens are better off.
Stop the lies. I know it’s difficult for a Brexiteer.

It was a false argument.
That wasn’t what you claimed initially.

Now they are restricting export, or hoarding what they have. No, France isn’t restricting exports or hoarding anything.

You are gaslighting now.
What a mess the EU has made that your only defense is to gaslight. How embarrassing.
You’re the one who’s been making false statements about Macron bashing the UK (he didn’t) and the EU restricting exports (it didn’t). Not me. So keep the “gaslighting” for yourself.

The reason for the EU having a vaccine shortage and therefore having to restrict exports to Australia is very much on topic, even if you hate to hear it. Bit embarrassing huh.
The EU isn’t restricting exports.
And the reason for the “shortages” (however you came up with that) is because a supplier is breaking their contractual obligations.

I’ve corrected the false statements you made. Thus I’m asking you to stick to the facts.
Macron hasn’t been “hoarding” nor has he been “against the UK using false arguments”.

So was it written in the EU contract that a certain amount would be supplied. This is AZ’s problem of overpromising without having enough capacity.

23 minutes ago, JonnyF said:What people have a problem with is leaders like Macron rubbishing the AZ vaccine one minute and then hoarding it the next. This is not a game. Trying to score political points against the UK using false arguments about life saving vaccines that may actually deter people taking the vaccine is not acceptable.
Macron hasn’t been “hoarding” nor has he been “against the UK using false arguments”. You need to let go of your Brexit fanatism.

Maybe the US and Israel could start with destroying their nuclear weapons before demanding other countries to not engage in it, especially since it’s them who are the biggest warmongers in this world.

Most people will get vaccinated eventually, and the few anti-vaxxers will have to stay home and watch more Qanon. So not much to fear about.

People who want their right to drink alcohol may be denied the right to drive a car. And people who’re unfortunate enough to be born blind may also be denied the right to drive a car.
The same will happen hear.

28 minutes ago, smedly said:try offering them the correct fare for your journey or what a Thai passenger would pay and see how well that goes - if you think paying 50baht to go 1km is ok when it should be 25baht then that is up to you
I rarely negotiate a fare upfront (only for longer distances). I either just pay what I deem appropriate upon arrival, which is based on my experience and talking to and observing locals, or I politely ask what it costs afterwards. Quite often, the motorbike driver would then ask what I normally pay for this route, at which point I either propose something I deem appropriate or tell him that I don’t come there often.
Maybe I’m vastly overpaying and that’s why I never had an issue with that approach, but the few fares I asked Thai colleagues to comment on seemed reasonable to them (20 Baht for 900m every morning to work; 30 Baht for 1.6km from my old condo; 60 Baht for 4km every other day to my gym). To be honest though, in the situations where they ask for 10-20 Baht more, it would feel petty to negotiate over such a small amount with someone who makes a fraction of what I have, even if I honk that a local may pay 10 Baht less. What do you counter-offer to a 10 Baht difference? “No, but I’ll go give you 5”? Live and let live.

I can agree to this one. Never had an issue with any Thai whatsoever, certainly not with motorbike drivers, and certainly not being attacked violently. I think the only two Thais I actually had an issue with were girls who didn’t wanna leave.

EU to extend COVID-19 vaccine export controls as AstraZeneca shipment blocked: sources

You should:
1. He didn’t. He said: “Today we think that it is quasi-ineffective for people over 65”
2. Calling it “quasi-ineffective” and specifically referring to “people over 65” is not “rubbishing”.
3. He said that that’s what “we think” “Today”.
Again, do your homework. He said there was "very little information" available and that “the early results we have are not encouraging for 60 to 65-year-old people”.
He said he was awaiting the EMA's verdict and also that of France's own health authority "because they have the numbers".
Of course, that’s what your yellow press doesn’t tell you because then you wouldn’t get so agitated. I suggest you increase the quality of the press you read.
No, the EU isn’t. Italy was. Italy is not Macron.
