It makes me think of those people asking you to pay for the release of a bird (to make merit) / but can they then catch them first without loosing merit?

Mix and match will give wider protection especially with boosters. Any mRNA vax after 2x AZ seems best choice

If in Bangkok at Bang Sue. Book on the Dtac vaccine website (I found that one to be most user friendly) and I think you can do walkin at BangSue to get a booster.
I tried to book via Dtac for a booster at Bang Sue on 23 January (I got the last AZ jab at Bang Sue on 30 September) : I was refused with the pretext that I do not fulfill the conditions set by the Ministry of Health and I do not know why

6 months ago was 26th June 2021, Outside of Bangkok and Chonburi, there were no vaccines available for foreigners. I know because I was being told "only for Thai people". ☹️
Yes my Thai wife was accepted for a booster registration but I was refused because I was a foreigner .....is this because foreigners are immune and cannot infect other people ?

I live in Bangkok.
I live in a province but my house is at less than 1 Km of the North Bangkok border.
I got 2 AZ jabs, the last one on 30 September
I have no clue how to get registered for a booster : the available options I checked were already fully booked

I took this stuff for a while, found it made me forget everything I watched on the tv for the hour before bed.
Very interesting it may partly explain why I feel since 5 years problems to remember names or what I looked on TV one hour earlier etc...but I am also 78 which is another factor ..my memory problem did not become much worse as some people with Mild Cognitive Impairment should expect ....but since 5 years zolpidem makes me sleep very well (I take 5 mg before going to bed and another after waking up between 3 and 4 a.m.)

First one Sinovac. Second one AZ. Booster Pfizer done an hour ago. I'm good to go.
At which day did you get the second AZ jab?
I got my second AZ on 30 September and I tried to book for Pfizer booster on 23 January....but it was refused with explanation that I did not meet the standard of the Ministry of Health
-
My second AZ jab at Bang Sue Station was on 30 September and with the DTAC app I registered for a Pfizer booster on 25 January : I could not fill in my nationality because they never heard about Belgium (so I filled in N/A as if I were stateless) I got a reply that my request was refused because I did not meet the standards set by the Ministry of Health.
Can I go for a walk-in vaccination at the Thai Japanese Youth Center in Bangkok (I live in Pathum Thani)?

All the time saved by the High Speed of the Train will be lost at the border check with Laos and then with China ....or can we expect that communist regimes will let this HST with 1000 pax or more enter without detailed passport and luggage check?

You can’t save it from VLC but you might be able to watch it with a corrected ratio.
If you want to correct it permanently, you need to reencode the video to the correct aspect ratio using ffmpeg or handbrake.
It doesn’t take long, it’s not difficult, but especially with ffmpeg, if you don’t understand command line it can be a bit daunting.
It could be as easy as this example, you just need to change the values of the filename, the codec and the aspect ratio, you repeat for every file,
ffmpeg -i <INPUT_FILE> -vf scale=720:540 -c:v <Video_Codec> <OUTPUT_FILE>
Here is a demo
It took me while to find out how the FFmpeg software worked but I succeeded to change the ratio from 4:3 to 19:9 / thank you !

Yes with VLC and selecting video - aspect ratio - 16:9 the format was corrected ...but I do not understand how to save the VLC playback in this corrected format on an external hard disk so that I can plug it into a USB port of my TV / anyway thank you
-
I downloaded a torrent with a TV series of 2 seasons (on an external hard disk which I can plug into the USB port of my TV)
- the first season has perfect playback on my large screen TV
- the second season has a video playback whereby the picture is stretched and does not fit the screen : everything looks longer than normal also the faces or bodies of the actors
I have several video editing software but I do not know how to adjust the stretched out playback
Does a forum member know how to correct this?

Indeed information is limited but the very latest studies combined with the identification of the Omicron variant have led US and other countries to revise booster policy to be all adults after 6 months instead of just the elderly & vulnerable.
I do not want to wait to apply for a booster until the last week of the 6 months since my last AZ jab. I got my AZ jabs at Bang Sue Station taking the opportunity offered for a walk in to people older than 75 years. Where could I apply on time for a booster jab (I have the 13 digits of my AZ jabs) : shall I go to a private hospital and eventually pay for it?

When will be a booster for the booster available?
For the flu of the past generations a booster was available every year .....this could be the same for Covid-19
-
I read that many people who got first a Chinese vaccine and then another vaccine will require a booster vaccine.
I got two Astrazeneca jabs at Bang Sue station (last one on 30 September) : will I also need a booster jab between 4 and 6 months after the last jab?
If yes where can I apply on time (I have my 13 digit ID nr)?

why is this PC tablet so cheap?

I would like to buy a cheap tablet to transfer from my smartphone all the photos stored here since several years
Now I find on Lazada a tablet and I wonder if a member of the Forum can explain why it is so cheap. I need it only for very occasional use but I am attracted to what it offers.
https://www.lazada.co.th/products/new-xiaomi-tablet-ram12g-rom512g-full-hd-tablet-andorid-10-core-i3248833493-s12071500447.html?
Does it really have a keyboard ?
What kind of operating system does it use (I still have on old but unused license for Windows 7 and I don't care if it is no longer supported by Microsoft)
Can it really connect to the internet ( 5G LTE and GPS) : do I then have to buy a SIM card?
Can it connect to my router ?
