Where is the scientific evidence that the Pfizer mRNA vaccine is more "highly effective" than for instance AstraZeneca ?
One thing is sure : there is a big fight going on in the world of Big Pharma and not only for the market of to-day but also for the sales of many years in the future because this COVID will not go away and will require additional jabs once (or even more) a year.
Go to Forbes.com and fill in their search tool : ""How The Covid-19 Vaccine Injected Billions Into Big Pharma—And Made Its Executives Very Rich

Can anybody help ?
My Thai wife's sister has a 26 year old mentally handicapped daughter (she does not know who is ) and until know it has been impossible to register her for a vaccination. The hospital where she is a patient since she was a baby does not have enough vaccines.
As a hospital is preferred the website and the above link of Bumrumgrad Hospital was tried....but it did not leave the possibility for Thai national.
Does anybody have an idea where this unfortunate person can be registered?

Perhaps you forgot that Khmer Rouge continued to hold the Cambodia seat at the UN until 1993, even though Vietnam invaded Cambodia in 1979 to oust the Khmer Rouge regime. The UN is still recognizing the Suu Kyi government of Burma a/k/a Myanmar.
Yes the Khmer Rouge seat was kept in the UN because those wanting to remove their ambassador were the USSR and its supporters and they were in the minority....but I do not understand who decides which regime its legitimate : the Security Council or the General Assembly.

He is a vocal critic of Myanmar's military rulers, who seized power in a coup on 1 February.
The junta later fired him - but he continues to represent the country's civilian government at the world body.
--------------------------------
This is ridiculous.....how can he remain Myanmar's ambassador to the UN if he was fired by them?
Is the UN still keeping ambassadors appointed by Idi Amin, Saddam Hussain etc...?

In the last weeks I saw several opportunities especially for people over 70.
He could get vaccinated in Thailand if he wants to and if he follows the news.
I also know a couple of older people who complain they didn't get vaccinated until now. I sent them messages with details where they could register and get vaccinated.
And then when I ask them I get answer like: I only want xyz vaccine and not any other. Or: Maybe another day. Lots of excuses. Don't blame the Thai government when YOU don't take the opportunities which are offered to you.
I wrote in this Forum that (aged 77) I went from the province where I live to Bang Sue Station and got an AZ jab on 8 July within one hour and without any need of paperwork except a passport to prove I was more than 75 / this Norwegian could have hired a taxi for the whole day and drive up and down to Bang Sue Station ....and that would be much cheaper to flying back to Norway

I am 77 and I went to Bang Sue Station already 2 weeks ago together with the older Thai people : they only checked my passport to see if I was more than 75 and I got AstraZeneca jab after 10' of registration. I wrote in this Forum that to make it easy for the very friendly staff it is recommended that you have beforehand - written by a Thai friend - all your data on a paper in Thai language (passport data, address, etc.) / I also brought a photocopy of the first page of my passport and my NON IMM O visa.

You could try the Chrome plugin 'Screencastify' that will record what's playing in your browser, or what you're doing on your screen, to a file on your Google Drive.
It worked / thank you

I understand what you are requesting.
Not familiar w/ Vidmate.
This is the workflow,
1 - capture
2 - convert/transcode
3 - edit (if required, to remove commercials)
#1+2 may be combined, done "on-the-fly".
Using a DVR has been suggested and is likely your best option.
You need the time of the show 'start/end'.
Software could be 'BandiCut' and 'BandiCam' from https://www.bandicam.com/
Note: "Free" version is 'shareware' and will watermark the video.
Typical resolutions are 360p, 720p, 1080p.
That is least to best quality and smallest to largest filesize.
You will have issues sending the video to your friend as even the 360p quality can easily be 80+ MB, for a 30 minute show, far too large for a email as often size is capped at 15 MB.
Hence, as suggested, send your friend the URL of the show (and what time it starts)
As for yourself, I suggest a DVR.
Best of luck

Thank you / for transfer to another friend I can use www.transfer.com which is free for files up to 2 Gb

I always watch live streaming of the BBC news channel early evening when having a beer on the verandah. Sometimes I see a clip that could be worth saving which on the news channel not so much a problem as they continually repeat things. At that time of a day just too much of an effort.
Your answer is precisely what I want to learn about : what you see is based on a URL of the BBC.....Now how to save at any moment what is being broadcast from this URL (transform it into a mp4 file?) and which software to use? I want to download a particular news program from my home country - save it as mp4 - and send it to a friend in another country.

9 million people registered, 5 million doses expected to arrive (god knows when).
Things are about to get interesting...
I am horrified to read how many people are still desperate to get a vaccination
For one time I am blessed to be old (more than 75 years) because I could get at Bang Sue Grand Station without pre-registration a free AstraZeneca jab (just walk-in at Gate 1 and show passport) / staff was very kind and helpful in English / Thailand at its best.

Sorry I put this first in the wrong subdivision of this Forum
I look at live TV news from my home country on my desktop PC and sometimes I would like to download it to look again later.
My operating system is Windows 10
Via Google I read about the software Vidmate : does any Forum member have experience with this ? Any better suggestions?

I can't even find the line !
If you are "lucky" like me to be older than 75 you can go until 18 July without any pre-registration to Gate 1 of Bang Sue Railway Station and get Astrazeneca / I did it during afternoon hours in less than 30 minutes and they only wanted to see my passport - not asking in which province I lived - and eventually what kind of medication it took / the only problem is to find a parking
