I just did the online claim form right at the start, March 2020.

Then they gave me a 1 year credit, then near the end of that year they extended the credit for another 2 years.

It's not really their fault the governments of the world put them out of business.

How do you find the online credit form?

I have booked them from America and there is no way of reaching "customer service".

Let me pose a scenario to you.

You are diagnosed with terminal cancer and have been given 6 months to live. However the very next week you get shot and die from your wounds. What is the cause of death? It's obviously death by gunshot.

This is very similar with Covid. You may have severe comorbidities but Covid hastened your demise to the extend you died long before you probably would have (a month, 3 months, 6 months, a year.... doesn't really matter). This is what Covid does. It preys on the weak and vulnerable and sends them off to their grave earlier than expected. This is why it's deemed the cause of death.

    It's not difficult to understand.

It is interesting that some people go to the hospital for other reasons. like a stroke, and test positive for Covid.

This report seems bogus from my observation.  The bar they show is way north on Soi 18 in Naklua I believe.  Yes, not many people partying in Naklua.

Even during normal times you can find a deserted bar.

Plenty of places are open in and around central and full of people partying it up big time so maybe show photos of those places for proper perspective.

Thanks for the real perspective. Do they serve alcohol and close at 11:00 or stop serving then. So you could buy several and keep drinking?

Yesterday I had a wander round Walking St and surrounding sois and it is slowly returning to what it is famed for: bars with sexy girls waiting to take their customers money. The go-gos, including those owned by the Chinese and Russians, will have to wait a while longer but all together Walking Street has enough collective financial clout to repel any notions of gentrification or becoming a family oriented destination.

The mayor can tidy up the pavements, stop sewage spewing into the sea and clear away the overhead cables but no more than that, please.

Good news. I hope you are right.

What I would like to see is easy access from the north. And not stinky. 555  Now that would be a major improvement. So you don't have to risk your life to access the Street.

    Hi Ubonjoe,

Great comments from everyone - as usual - thank you.

The 'How to'  - for ultimate target - Retirement Visa etc - I have pretty much a 'handle' on in particular thnxs to a Thai Visa Lady - NancyL  at the start out.

I  checked a while ago and heard that my 'route'  as you outline above is still a 'go'.

So it looks like a Sandbox' session ( not been there for a long time ) followed by flight to our 'beloved'  Moonmuang Rd, Chiang Mai.

Then back to the Gym - I know all Thai friends still there - been in frequent contact.

    Thnxs All or all.

    Best Rgds

Is that the NancyL who is a member here?

Mexico is now fully open without silly "Thailand Pass" type requirements (others in South and Central America are going the same way) - how long can they justify milking the Covid fear to keep the protests of the streets?

At some point you have to open up properly...

Election coming Q3 or Q4 here, they desperately don't want the old normal back before that or even with 250 blocked seats because they will still get hammered.

It's going to be another very bumpy year, me tinks...

My friends in Mexico now have Covid. Trying to eliminate it, like China is doing , is very doubtful. But they have the Olympics to worry about. It seems to depend on whether or not you think getting Covid is the best idea.

They're doing a good job of making sure Delta continues to circulate at the moment.

The only way they get rid of that is by allowing Omicron to 'push it out' - and there's no way they're going to do that.

China has the same problem, they will never admit defeat to a mere virus but in the end they will be defeated by it.

The longer it takes, the more will die from previous circulating variants.

China has to Olympics to worry about.
