Lateral flow test. More commonly known as an antigen or ATK in Thailand.
Thanks for telling me those terms all mean the same thing! A lot of education in that 1 line.

They lock you in the bathroom if positive......
But really this is asking a lot of venues..... they used up the last bit of space making a pseudo kitchen.
But beer makes me pee. I gotta go NOW!. Get outta there. 5555
You are right, they are sure to have to deal with unhappy people who want to do as they want. Wait 15 minutes then told you can't enter? I guess that's why god invented Muay Thai. 555

It's a weak attempt at saving face. He's pretending that it's not the state of Thailand's constantly changing policies that is causing nobody to want to risk coming here, it's because Thailand is being more selective in who they allow to come.
The tourism equivalent of "She didn't dump me, I dumped her".
Thanks.
Thailand must be unhappy that the hordes of Chinese they were hoping for won't be coming.
BTW It will be interesting to see if the Chinese way of exterminating Covid proves more effective or America's giving up and hoping for herd immunity proves more effective. And the race is on.

Meanwhile the UK has just announced that they no longer require a PCR on or before day 2 after arrival and have replaced it with a LFT? They have also scrapped the requirement to isolate until you get the result?
Pardon my ignorance, but what is an LFT?

Can you pay someone (agency) to get the extension for you? Money is usually helpful.

Some places are providing test kits at the door of their business, it takes about 15 minutes to get the result.
That's great. There are plenty of tests available.?
Do they provide a quarantined area to wait for the results?

He made clear that it is not possible to extend the deadline to February or April, as suggested by some tourism business operators, explaining that the government is focusing on “quality” tourists, not on the numbers.
Can someone please translate this for me?

In America many people feel the outbreak is so bad that herd immunity should happen in about a month.
It would be nice for Thailand to achieve herd immunity.

I find it difficult to see how these new rules are going to be enforced. There isn't enough manpower nor the will.
Nor tests, even if there were manpower and will.

I'm sorry, regardless of whether this woman makes a TikTock living out outta this stuff it's stupid.
Who in their corn fed mind gets on a long haul flight to any tin pot third world country without knowing the risks that rules will change on a dime, and you risk either deportation or your two week vacation holed up somewhere in quarantine.
No sympathy sorry to say
I thought she had to have insurance? A poster said theirs covers possibility of quarantine. That's the kind I want and that covers an asymptomatic positive case. Is there such a policy?

The other people in the hotel could be quarantined because they used an elevator that an infected tourist used, or a stairwell, or a table for dinner or a chair or...
I agree with the idea of staying in the hotel in theory, but I don't think it's right it causes other people in the hotel have to be quarantined as well.
No good solution?

Good you are still affected!

Good for the bars that have "rental girls" that "performers" will be tested daily. I guess the "non-performers" will die out.
All those tests will come from where though?

Depends how you define aggressive. Yes, it is reported to be 70% more transmissible (easier to catch), so aggressive. But it is far milder than previous strains, so not nearly as aggressive. Easier to catch, easier to overcome.
Yep! Now saying because of that could lead to herd immunity. Got my fingers crossed I don't die before that. 555

It would be interesting to know how they know what variant affects a person.

I am not so sure you would enjoy a video with me as an actor.
Personally I like the first person view from the "teacher's" point of view. And then I keep that in my human memory without any technical assistance.
You've never heard of a POV video? Happy trails my friend . Enough for us two!

Very much more aggressive than Delta. In America a very higher case rate. My bud's family was boosted and got it. Was knocked down but not hospitalized. Very be careful.

And also make sure you have it in writing that your insurance will pay if you are hospitalized with no symptoms ...
Wow! good point I never thought of "without symptoms". Has anyone come across a policy like that?
