Strange...Really, Be on the lookout for more. Seriously.

I know. I have been. The thing was only like 1 foot long. Been paranoid to let my dog out ever since. Really paranoid.

Little snake was a mean sucker too. Did the whole stand up & flair the hood in an attempt to intimidate me thing they do.

Was there any chance that you could have avoided him?? If you haven't noticed our fellow earth travelers the products of mother nature are disappearing at an alarming rate.

I Killed a baby cobra 2 days ago that was sunbathing on my tile porch thing when it was cool. House was open but the screen was closed. Dog started barking at it from inside the screen.

Killed the hell out of it with a "Hoe" thing the Thais use for shovels.

Cant be having poisonous snakes on the property & my dog does not know it will kill him.

If you don't understand a post, don't react to it. The comparison made was Thai Baht vs Thai Baht.

Thanks, mom. Ill be sure to remember that & stuff.

Dude was talking about 350 & 4500 baht & english pound & how a decent wage could fix thailands problems.

Triple the minimum wage here and it still won't solve the face thing. Still won't solve the tardiness thing. Its how they operate and the mindset they use.

Who said anything about the UK i was mearly putting bhat into context for wages.Your not reading posts again are we.

Do you think you are enlightening anyone as to wage context? Most of us are from countries that are using Pound, Euro, Dollar, etc...

You can not think in foreign currency, you have to think in baht. You have to decide what a good deal is, in baht. You have to think about what a good wage is, in Baht. You cant think about how it is in another country.

Totally pointless the direction you are trying to go with this.

You do recall how Comey's comments were received, right? And you do accept, I hope, that his conduct was controversial (even allowing that he was at an impossible situation). Obama making such statements during the election campaign, without being able to present solid proof (either for not having it or for national security issues) would have been way worse in terms of reaction.

If he would have, the Russians could mark a result regardless of their intervention being real or not. The impact on US would have been huge. And that's while an already heated  election campaign was on.

Of course, thats why I used him as an example. Imho is conduct was absolutely not "controversial" as he was doing his job even if it meant his own downfall but I can see how some would see it otherwise. Its better to release the info when you get it, rather than to hold onto it. If HRC would have won, and only then did the statements come out, that would have been worse. It could be spun to look like the FBI itself was interfering in the elections by withholding information for the benefit of a candidate.

I know what you are saying but the White House could have kept the press updated on the investigation from beginning to end without getting super partisan about it. It looks way worse getting loud about it after Trumps unexpected win and putting his name all over it.

Im sorry but I just do not think that the White House was/is/are doing what they are doing because its "Better" for everyone.

Would you work a full day for 350 bht? (7.7 quid)

Would you work a full day for say 4500 bht an hour (about 10 quid english).

So how can you say s decent wage won't fix it?

Nobody cares about the UK in the context of Thailand. Does not matter. Cant compare.

'odd man' seems to be more common.  Even Thais get frustrated with the unpredictability, in the workforce.

It's silly to say a "decent wage" will solve the problem.

    Exactly.

The wage may be some of it, but the issue is cultural. You could triple wages overnight and would have the exact same problem. Thais don't care if you are negatively effected by their actions. They will be flakey and undependable even at 1000 baht a day. Its just how they are, aggravating as that may be.

I realize that the Trump fanboys celebrate ignorance but this astounding demonstration of obliviousness is appalling. So hidebound by partisan ideology that even the most basic concepts are recast in political bigotry. What now, do we get rid of the word democracy because it is too similar to the word Democrat?

Some people need to really get a grip on reality.

Im cringing over here reading this too.

Im not ever going to get a grip on your reality.

  9. Are there any locally made high quality grain free dog foods that are locally made & cheapish?

My dog was on Taste of the Wild for a while, but it was getting expensive and a hassle to order it online. Its like 3000 baht for a 13 Kg Bag. Basically 3000 Baht a month.

So I gradually changed over to regular pedigree dry dog food. After about a month of pedigree I changed gradually to smart heart. During both of these changes I tried adding the same brand wet food in with each feeding as well.

The issue is that the dog does really well on Taste of the Wild. On the other stuff, man, rancid farts, crapping a lot, not necessarily diarrhea but not healthy dumps either, lost a lot of sheen in his coat, his hair sheds a lot more, etc...

Im way too lazy to actually cook and prepare food for my dog. If there is no option other than rice, meat, veg or Taste of the Wild, ill buy the expensive dog food.

So does anyone know, or have experience with this? Dog food recommendations? Advice?

Dont forget I'm lazy. Ideally Id like to buy a bag of food and dump it in a bowl and do something else with my time.

Jesus do you want my inside leg size as well.

What I pay is well over the minimum wage here (I never disclose payments to other people). Genral location why does that matter Thailand belive it or not.

They do many things not everything but between them they can handle most jobs.

    lmao ok man calm down.

    Location? Totally matters.

Disclosing payment? Um, well, hardly a top secret subject on an anonymous forum and would be informational to a lot of people.

"Many things but not everything"? Really....

Anyway ok you don't have to talk about it if you don't want to.

As I've posted we have a man and wife team who I call upon as needed for a variety of jobs we pay well and feed them they are exellent workers and I may add good friends now as well.

Well that does not help much. Ive been involved in building all kinds of stuff here and paying locals.

I was asking for details as you seem to have figured out a wonderful trick you should share.

What do they do? How much do you pay? General location in Thailand?

  12. Not sure why you are asking for "Storm Windows" sounds like you just need regular ole windows with screens.

In every town in Thailand they have local aluminum window frame makers that can make windows to order of any size you want. And fit them with screens.

Assuming your house is block/cement they would totally fit and its totally common.

Is the house teak wood or cement?

Also the same places that make aluminum windows also make screens that you can screw on the inside of an opening.

Yes, I am not willing to see things the same as you. But no, things are not what you think them to be.

How the hell is face a misconception? Yes I know I look at the world very different than you, but getting personal aside, what are you talking about? Totally exists here. Hardcore.

Live in the UK then let down all the time by so called trades. Everywhere you look there's fly tipping and the streets are filthy. Schools don't teach kids how to be clean nor do most patents so please stop the Thai this thai that really a well used  phrase if you really don't like the place you call home move to another home.

Ah yes, of you don't like it, leave. How original. So Thai.

Just because you find some things aggravating does not mean you can't talk about it or complain, or in your case, act like it does not exist.

Doesn't mean you have to pack up and leave.

And if Obama was to respond this way during the election campaign it would have been construed and criticized as as trying to influence the outcome. As said earlier, if this was indeed a Russian play, brilliant timing.

Just like the FBI and that statement James Comey made & its potential effect on HRC during the campaign. Damned if you do and damned if you don't but for the sake of integrity he should have been transparent at the time. Not make a big fuss about it now.

History doesn't excuse Russian authoritarian Putin's aggressive attempt to interfere with the liberal democracy of the U.S.A. which tragically he has succeeded in weakening.

    Whats with this "Liberal Democracy"

You guys got your own version now? Its not THE liberal democracy its OUR democracy. You are just a liberal in OUR democracy just like I'm a conservative in OUR democracy.

Man im cringing over here reading that.

My reasoning is that, how much MJ or Krathom would that buy.Drug induced,or the need of drugs, murders are quite common here. Therefore, the cheaper the drugs, the more availability of drug addict's (and you cant call them hit men,hit men are professionals)that would consider murder as an occupation after working out,the amount that 100,000 would buy at the cheaper rate.

Your reasoning is flawed and uninformed. MJ don't make you crazy or fiend or sick neither does kratom.

How many people become hitmen for their next alcohol fix? How many become hitmen over their next cigarette fix? They don't.

Just because alcohol is legal, and smoking a joint is illegal does not mean alcohol is better or safer than MJ. Its by far, vastly, worse & more dangerous but legal and people don't kill over getting another bottle.
