  1. Spent one day/night there a few months back and loved the place. Wasn't long enough, needed another couple of days at least. Recommend a trip up the river at dusk, just as all the temples are beginning to light up. Stayed at a hotel on the river with a stunning view of one of these temples opposite. Much better than Chiang Mai in my opinion and only a three hour drive from Pattaya. I'll definitely pay another (longer) visit sometime. Reading up on its history beforehand, made it more interesting for me.
  2. Tell you what spider, if you buy all my meat products from now on I'll give up eating pork. Until then, I'll scoff as many bacon butties as I like. Don't cows, sheep, goats etc eat grass fertilised by animal (pigs included) or even human feces?
  3. Your "observed position" has been to change 200+ gangbanger illegal immigrant criminals into normal US citizens just strolling along the street, which is indicative of the Democrat strategy of recent years. Changing reality and sniping at govt instead of coming up with some electable policies.
  4. Instead of joker Joe and his lefty chums continuing their last election campaign policy of taking endless pot shots at Trump, wouldn't it be nice to see them come out with some policies that would make them electable again. You Dems are making it very easy for Pres Vance at the next election.
  5. I believe that the mixed race Labour councillor who urged people to cut the throats of people on the right and the Manchester airport Mulsim brothers who broke the nose of an armed female officer have been out on bail for many months now. Whereas Lucy Connolly, jailed (within days of the offence) for three years for a nasty tweet (which she quickly deleted), was refused bail and denied a short home visit because her daughter was having problems understanding why her mom couldn't be there with her. Two tier policing and justice? You bet there is!
  6. Man exposes chest, can't see the problem.
  7. American or French? The French do their socialising in my local Big C supermarket food court. When I pop in for brunch before shopping, I sit as far away from them as possible. I can't see the need to shout when you sitting across a small table from someone.
  8. I reckon the people who live in Phuket, just like me I live in Pattaya, don't recognise what they read on here. They are isolated incidents, the like of which happen all over the planet. I've said it on here several times, when I lived and worked in Scarborough UK, it was like a war zone late evening on a weekend. I experience nothing like that when I go for a night out in Pattaya.
  9. It also looks perfectly straight. My money's on driver either nodding off or texting.
  10. Only every support MlP of which there are a vast amount, as well as more than a few on the opposing sides who see this as undemocratic. To say "there aren't too many opponents of the verdict" is lefty wishful thinking IMO.
  11. Maybe it depends on the amount of violence used. Not saying that this IS the reason, just that it could be. In the 2017 study, did it give a reason? Strange that I've never heard of this study previous to you posting about it. What was the source?
  12. Many would demonstrate against Netanyahu if he DID make a deal to bring all the hostages home, as it would just encourage Hamas to carry out more hostage taking. The only way to deal with them is to wipe every one of them off the face of the planet, as they wouldn't hesitate to do the same to the Jews.
  13. The same types who want gangs of TdA roaming around killing, raping and torturing with impunity.
  14. Earthquake? That was a mere shiver and any properly designed and constructed building should not have gone down. Someone should get bounced for that.
  15. Last time , mine was rejected because I'd spent one night in a hotel in Ayutthaya and didn't change my TM30 when I returned, which I've been informed many times is unnecessary. I had to cancel and resubmit my online application at least half a dozen times before I was given the reason for rejection.
  16. At 81 yoa in June, I feel quite gratified at being branded a "far right thug". In reality, I'm just an old man who loves his country, respects law and order, doesn't approve of uncontrolled immigration and would like his government to do something about it.
  17. This quake was a mere shiver, how come that building collapsed when the other partly completed ones stood fast? I've been in quakes that have been quite strong with only minor damage to buildings. Something is not right about this.
  18. ... and the reason that we aren't doing as well as we could be after Brexit is because we're still wearing the chains of the ECHR.
  19. If it wasn't for Pres Trump, the spams would have nothing to whinge about. It's endless listening to them drip.
  20. Being a parent I can just imagine the joy of the parents of this boy when they found out that he was still alive. Made my day when I read that.
  21. I see lots of posts saying that it's our responsibility, but no suggestions of how to obtain a TIN if we're refused one. It's not as though we're begging to be taxed here.
  22. True, but what's to be done if they point blank refuse to issue a number, burgle the place and nick one?
  23. Correct! Before you even think of fighting one local here, you have to assume that in very short time the odds will get a lot worse for you. Best to wai and walk away, unless you're Jack Reacher.
  24. Only ten on to one? The Thais must be developing a sense of fair play at last.
