  1. Does that mean that coup maker can also be impeached?

Even though the constitution is no more.

But the coup happens seconds before the constitution was torn into pieces.

    Coup is punished by death.

Very perceptive of the NLA to realise that the only way for the Democrats to win an election is to impeach the entire Pheu Thai party. This is also probably a pre-condition of elections ever being allowed to happen again.

  2. Horse hockey!

Monks are not supposed to be involved in politics, but this one ignores that rule altogether.

His proposals,um not really his proposals but others proposals, are good long term solutions but...utterly lack the short-term benefits farmers need. In short, he doesn't care about the farmers -- he cares about staying in the spotlight, and continuously making the previous government's programs seem unhealthy (even though 85% of all PT programs are still in action).

I have socks that are more Buddhist than this monk. Anyone remember when he complained to Suthep, glorious Herr Suthep, that he wasn't being given enough attention during the mockumentary they called the 9-5 protests?

And then the originator of the yellow shirts was given a much more harsh sentence than Thaksin, evil demon that he was. So, the monk supports a group that was created by a now-convicted criminal and claims the moral high ground?

If I puked it would be rose petals.

Thank you Fang, you make a valid point regarding the Monk. Indeed he should not be involved in politics.

But................................................either should wanted criminals who have a string of charges waiting for them if they ever pluck up the courage to enter Thailand.

I hope I never hear you defend that slimy slug Thaksin on this forum, otherwise you will be labeled a hypocrite.

Speaking of hypocrites....The yellow monk has to be number one. My wife, a devout buddhist, refuses to speak his name. If he's a holy man I'm Father Xmas.

  3. It's good to see a military democracy taking these firm actions against the military dictatorship in North Korea.smile.png

The military here have never said this was a democracy and in North Korea the government is dominated by the ruling Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and has been since North Korea's inception in 1948.

At least in Thailand the military want to repair the democracy and reduce corruption and then move towards non vote buying multi-party elections which is a major part of democracy.

Nice to see an optimist on here, just don't hold your breath sonny boy.

  4. And this is why the majority support the Junta. They have not forgotten the PTP lied to them 5 times stating they had money to support the scheme. This was before the PDRC protestors even took to the streets in protest.

My favorite lie was on the 13th of September 2013 - The cabinet approved a total budget of 270 billion baht for the governments rice pledging scheme and said this will support it to March 2014. This contempt for the majority explains why the failed 2014 elections indicated the PTP failing miserably. Unless of course we all still refer to elections 3 years ago as a litmus test of their support?

Quite simply though, the Junta did not lie. They stated they would get the money and they did. A God send to the poor and destitute the PTP purported to supported.

This is why the Junta have overwhelming support. Unless of course we still refer to an election 3 years ago as the litmus test of the PTP's support?

They could always test your theory,'oh junta @rse-licking one', by holding an election asp.

  5. Crikey, it took six hours for the NACC to ask for the impeachment of Yingluck! Didn't want it to look like a stitch-up. Crafty these yellow shirt types.

Plus the many months before since they did investigations.

Wonder which page of the script it was on? Just like a soap-opera only more predictable.

  6. Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha yesterday vowed to tackle influential rackets and illegitimate businesses on the tourist island, and pledged to punish soldiers or police patronising these people or their activities.

    Dear General P,

Unfortunately this ideal measure, is all too little and all to late, this is not just a problem in Kho Tao, but is infact a serious massive and major problem at every tourist destination in the Kingdom of Thailand.coffee1.gif

Give him a chance, so far, I think he has managed to clean up a lot already

Like what? Jet ski and non-metered taxis going strong again on Phuket. Pattaya hasn't changed since pre-coup, scams and road chaos still the order of the day.

  7. I think he is the best leader Thailand has presented to the world thus far

I was hoping so too, but have lost all respect for the bloke after his typical Thainess comments regards the Koh Tao incident. He may have apologized in part for his comment upsetting 'some' people, but the damage is done, you know what he's thinking. He could only be the 'best leader' due to his army status and forcing his way in. IMO the most rounded, down to earth leader Thailand could ever hope to have is Mark, but unfortunately this country is just not ready for that quality of statesman.

The last sentence ruined what could have been a good post.
