I can make it 4. I have done 14 extensions based upon marriage at immigration here in Ubon with no major problems. Nothing new added for almost 10 years now. About 3 years ago when I first used the transfers of 40k baht from abroad option I waited until about 4 pm to have my documents checked and the officer gave me the impression she did not want to finish it then so after approving them I told her I would return the next day. Returned the next day got it done without any problems.

Retirement Visa Thailand ?
ubonjoe replied to ThaiNoobie101's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
What is the problem with printing the credit advice. They should waive the proof it came from abroad since it has been in the bank since October. The bank letter is a standard letter done by the bank. Edit: Example of one done by Bangkok Bank. bank letter.pdf -
Better now. Forum got attacked by Bots.

Return flight or one way is ok?
ubonjoe replied to HKexpat's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
That is due to immigration starting the 30 days from the day you enter the country. The airline would count it as 30 days. -

Phuket Immigration as of December 2021
ubonjoe replied to Captain Jack's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The approval will done by Immigration Division 6 headquarters located in Hat Yai that is responsible for the Southern region of the country. If your passport was valid for 12 months on the day your current permit to stay ends it will be for a year. If not it will be done to the day your passport expires. -
Unless you have changed addresses or entered the country with a new visa a new TM30 report is not required. A receipt for a TM30 done previously is all you should need.

Thailandpass wants proof of income
ubonjoe replied to Lorry's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
There is no income proof required for a Thailand Pass. Probably a mix up with the tourist visa applications and Thailand Pass.- 10 replies

I suggest you contact Thai Elite directly instead of going through an agent. Info here: https://www.thailandelite.com/#/ You could travel by air to Cambodia and stay long enough to get a covid 19 test and return visa exempt if you are from a country that qualifies for ont. The you could have the Thai Elite visa issued shortly after arrival.

30 day exempt to Non-Imm 'O' retirement?
ubonjoe replied to Hami's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No Only a Non-OA visa issued by embassy or official contrulate or a extension of the entry from one requires insurance. -
I assume you are on extension of stay based upon working or teaching and etc. No TM30 report is needed now. Immigration issued a regulation in June of 2020 for TM30 reporting. It is only needed if you enter with a new visa or change addresses. They do not need to do one either when your return to Samui.

Retirement Visa Thailand ?
ubonjoe replied to ThaiNoobie101's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
How long has the 800k baht been in the bank? Ask the bank for a credit advice to show the funds came from abroad instead of asking for letter to prove it. -

90 Day online report query
ubonjoe replied to JRG23's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You will get another email when it is approved by immigration. The earliest you receive it will be Monday since today is Saturday and they are not working today. You can also check the status on the website by longing in. There is a lot of info in the pinned topic about online 90 day reporting. -

30 day exempt to Non-Imm 'O' retirement?
ubonjoe replied to Hami's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
For the non-o visa application the funds only need to be in the bank on the day of application. Then it has to be in the bank for 2 months on the day of application for a extension of stay based upon retirement. That depends upon the country he is from Some embassies do non do a proof of income document. The US, Uk and Australia and a few others do not do them. That will not work. People have tried bringing in the case, declared it and then saved receipt for the change to baht and immigration has refused it. -
