Non o visa money in the bank
ubonjoe replied to cobyco's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You will only be changing the reason for your current extension from working to retirement. You cannot change non immigrant visa categories while in country. No problem to put the money in the bank now for example. The only rule is that it has to be in a Thai bank in your own name for 2 months on the day you apply. -
90 day report still needed?
ubonjoe replied to mrjohn's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The actual rules are here. 90day_notification.pdf Ignore where it says overstay that is a translation error. What is on the immigration website is mostly for Bangkok immigration. -

Where are you being asked for your visas issue date. After page two of the online application it only asks for your permit to stay date. Info about the visa you used for entry is on page one of your new passport at the top of the stamp they did when your stamps were transferred. -

The 15 days before is a Bangkok only requirement. If you mail it in early enough so it is delivered within 7 days of your report date it will be accepted (same for Bangkok). To be sure send it by EMS instead of registered mail. -

The blank page means the popup message to contact your local office was blocked. Check your internet connection. Do you have a VPN. Maybe try using mobile data. -

There are some email addresses the system will not accept. Do you have another email address you could use. -
You can also apply for a the non-o visa with at least 15 days remaining on a 30 day extension of your 45 day visa exempt entry if you need more time to do the application. Requirments for the visa application is here. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/8-1.pdf You can apply for the extension of stay based upon retirement up to 45 days early to the last day of the 90 day entry from the visa. The 800k baht will have to be in the bank for 2 months on the day you apply for every extension. Since March of 2019 there is no no longer a 60 days for the first extension and then 3 months rule. It is now 2 months before for every extension and then the 800k baht must remain the bank for 3 months after the day you apply and then 400k baht until you top-up your account to 800k baht for the next extension.

90 day report still needed?

They have not suspended 90 day reporting this year. I think they did not do away with them since last year the majority of offices were saying they were still required and many people did them anyway since the did not trust immigration to not fine them for not doing it. They changed the system last last year and I have been able to 3 online reports successfully with a entry done in 2008 and and a new passport. When doing the report online you have to be sure that entered everything correctly and only complete the required fields (other than first and middle name). You can also get the message if system is see you as being on a overstay due to your last extension not being updated in the online system or for not being within the 15 day window for online reporting. You might want to try the mobile app since it give more than one reason for not being able to go past page one. It will tell you that you are on a overstay or not within the window. It only gives the contact you local office message if you entered something wrong on page one or your record could not be found. Links for apps follows. Android app is here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=th.go.immigration.immeService&hl=en Apple app: https://apps.apple.com/th/app/imm-eservice/id1464624948 You also have the option to mail in your 90 day report. -
I assume you are writing about getting a new printout of of you Kor Ror 2 marriage registry since that is what immigration wants to prove you are still married. The Kor Ror 2 printout can be requested at any Amphoe or Khet (Bangkok). Some offices will accept a printout up to 30 days old and others a week or so.

Your sons old passport is needed to pick up the new one. They will cancel it when the new one is picked up. Nonthaburi is closer than Hua Hin.

ubonjoe replied to tarzanet's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No You have to apply for the covid 19 extension and can do it until September 27th. It is not a automatic extension. -
What's my visa type?
ubonjoe replied to ThaiSpaceNeedle's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You are still on a non-b visa. The stamp on the right might an error and ahsoul be a non-re instead of RG. A non-re is a re-entry permit -
Do you know anybody in Bangkok that could do it for you. You could designate them to do it. Is it their first passport or a renewal. For a renewal it requires the old passport to pick up the new one.

That is very unlikely to happen. -
Australian Travel Exemption
ubonjoe replied to Marcomilton7's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
At this time it would depend upon where you are traveling too. As far as I know there are no restrictions on traveling to Koh Koh Phangan other than having negative covid test. -
Immigration and covid vaccination register
ubonjoe replied to Joratewitch's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The address he uses would be to schedule the vaccination at a hospital where he lives. Where is he doing his 90 day reports at? He could do a TM30 form to change his address back to where he lives. -
The flight they added on is for the Phuket sandbox. Until the sandbox ends it is a regular flight.

Australian Travel Exemption
ubonjoe replied to Marcomilton7's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You and enter and get a 45 day visa exempt entry. You will need to show a onward ticket to the airline when you check in that can be to anywhere. A ticket to the UK would be accepted but it would have to be within 45 days of arrival. You can apply for the standard 30 day extension of the 45 day entry and then apply for a 60 day covid 19 extension. You will have to do a 14 day quarantine after arriving here. -
The is no rule that states you have to prove the balance in your account until you apply for the next extension. They would not be able to cancel your extension for not doing the checks every 3 months. If you failed to keep the 800k baht in the bank for 3 months and then 400k baht after that they could deny your next extension.

Forgot the seasoning of 400k
ubonjoe replied to Inderpland's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The 60 day covid 19 extension is a special one. You normally would only be able to apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife but it is restricted to one per entry to the country using a visa. By getting the covid extension you can save that one in case it is needed later. The affidavit should be printed 2 sided.
