I am loathe to continue with them mainly because they have cut out all the BBC programmes (except news)

I used to watch this chanel around 40% of my viewing time

Most expats complain about this country because the only connection they have to it is through a Thai girl who 50% of the time will fuc_k them about and in end leave them for the next one, or worse someone will have an accident. How can you love a country or at least try to understand her and her people when the main connection with this country is a whore or close to it ?

Expats who were born here or have a family and family friends connection here view things a lot different. Most expats are just day trippers so to speak, they have no intention of making any sort of success in this country.

As a few posters have said most people slate Thailand because they do not fully understand Thailand.

Actually that is quite strange that the only two places I can think of where the prices have gone up is 7/11 and my local noodle joint.

If you live off the street vendors sure things might seem the same, but go into a real store or try to go to a nice disco and prices have all gone up. Foolish thinking, economy down, raise the price and alienate the remaining customers.

I think the OP is talking more about Thais putting up prices specifically for farang, and in reference to what you said about clubs and restaurants I have not noticed any change in pricing. Have you and where ? I would be interested to know.

RCA hasn't gone up neither have the clubs in Ratchada.

the few restaurants I go to on sukhumvit have not gone up and at my expat club the prices have not gone up.

Not really, I mean I am constantly overcharged but I simply shake my head and say no and give them the proper or agreed price.

Like the other day I had pork and noodles, usually costs 50baht for a large bowl, when I finished the guy said 60 because it was extra large, I told him I did not ask for extra large, gave him 50baht and walked off.....what is he going to do call the police ?

I have had these types of experience every since I got here and I do not think the economy is going to worsen it. As an example I was in a taxi and the it came to 55 baht I think, I only had 1000baht and 50baht note, instead of the hassle of changing the 1000 the guy just took the 50baht note and said maipenrai.

So no I do not think the current economic climate is going to make a substantial difference.

Probably not as planes are notorious for spreading around viruses, so ti doesn't mean you have that virus as you were in a situation where you can pick up lots of other viruses. I am sure the Dr would have told you this.
