I am from the UK. I am making an 80,000 baht transfer to the Bangkok Bank. When using Wise i chose the transfer funds from my bank to Wise option. I made the request on Friday and they have given Monday as the day the funds will be in the Bangkok bank. I am in no rush as don't need the funds until October . Screen Shot :

I think its quicker if the payment is made with your Debit card. If the funds are transferred from your bank account to Wise it will take longer. However , the limit on debit card is less.

My travel agent has just informed me that Eva Airlines will be re commencing flights to London from July 1st. Presumably there will now be another non stop option other than Thai. She will send me more information re schedules and prices as she gets them. With Thailand possibly dropping all entry requirements from July 1st might be the right time to fly for those who prefer direct flights. Just an unconfirmed heads up . Have to wait to see if the goalposts have Dunroamin.

If you are out and about and see one of the smaller Lotus stores , always worth checking out their wines since I have picked up some surprising bargains from time to time. Best bargain was last year when I picked up some decent chardonnay for 139 baht. Yesterday picked up 2 cheap bottles of Australian red ( not fruit wine ) In the next town 20 k away for only 174 baht Back in our own town out local Lotus had the same wine but at a much more expensive price. Go figure .

My wife thinks we should have one or two solar garden lights outside for those times that the power is out or the regular floodlight is broken. My local electrical store has them starting at 900 baht up to 2000 baht. However , there are plenty of cheaper ones on Lazada and I am wondering if any of these could provide light until about 5 a.m or do they all just fizzle out around midnight. Was thinking in the 500 baht range would be more reasonable. We live at the end of a dark village soi so any light would be better than nothing. Any recommendations ? Thanks in advance.
