  1. Fanny Adams here in Petchabun but a few clouds about. To water the garden or not , that is the question. If I water it....rain will follow. If I don't .....nothing. Not a sausage let alone rain. One thing I hate about the first heavy rain of the season is the hordes of Meng Mows that spring out of the ground in there millions and fly to the nearest light. They then shed there wings and indulge in promiscous sex all over the place , pulling trains on the window sills and any flat service. The following morning there are drifts of these critters all over the balcony and I have to get the garden blower out to give them their last <deleted> .When they come calling you have to close all windows and doors and pull the curtains or they get in to watch television with you and sup your beer.
  2. Solution is simple. Don't chose to live where there are many foreigners. Find a quiet town elsewhere and enjoy the peace. Plenty to chose from.
  3. Never had any problems but then both wife and I prefer quiet places where large groups don't tend to go. Won't even consider going anywhere where ' live music ' is promoted as an attraction. Can't see the pleasure in having my ears assaulted by dreadful noise.
  4. Don't forget the proposal was also lauded and there was talk of making Thailand a hub of something or other .....then it was pronounced to be a misunderstanding because the brakes had failed.
  5. Looks like the bloke in the white shirt just had a wet fart.
  6. Hi so entitlement much. Had she not been buried in her phone she would have quickly noticed the mistake. Plus would have helped to confirm her destination as soon as she got in the cab. But that would have involved talking to the cabbie , somebody way below her station , a thing she could not do as obviously so up herself.
  7. So, to summarize everything so far from the OP onwards ....
  8. I know what Jacques Cousteau would have said : ' Moi et mon amie were in great peril '
  9. Apparently he has been working on a penis enlargement programme for years. It has succeeded beyond his dreams as he is now a big dickhead.
  10. Second option would be to drill a big enough hole through the wall as near to the light as possible. When building our house apart from having a service hatch to the attic I also got the builder to weld a steel walkway 1 foot wide the length of the house in case I needed to get easy access up there for any repairs that might occur. Came in handy as last year a mouse got up there and chewed through the internet cable. Repair man was pleased with the easy access.
  11. Youtube vlogger.....say no more. Thailand seems to attract an excess of idiots trying to scratch a living from it here.

  13. The panels are mounted on the roof near the eves. I then ran the supplied cable around and under the roof tile into the attic. From there made a small hole in the ceiling to connect to the light mounted high on the wall in the corner. The panels get enough charge during the day to run right through the night if necessary but start to gradually dim about 4.00 am. Usually turn them off at bedtime except ones in bathroom and kitchen which automatically turn off at sunrise. No extra cable needed. Really these were fitted so we have light during power cuts but Murphys law has kicked in and have hardly had an outage since I spent the money. You can buy solar powered fans on Lazada. The cheap as chips solutions to solar power.
  14. A proliferation of expensive shops does not a good airport make. Decent seating for those having to wait a long time for a connection would make nice change.
  15. Which is about the only thing I would want it for. Already have cheap solar lights ( garden type ) in every room so interior lighting sorted. Cook with gas, mains water ( no pump ), watch movies on tablet , so the only thing we would miss without grid power is our 13,000 btu air con , which recently has been going about 20 hours a day.
  16. Well, I'm on my third angle grinder so I guess you are right.
  17. Europe's attitude to asylum seekers illegally crossing the channel is that the UK will just have to suck it up. Ireland is now the beneficiary of Europe's pass the buck policy. Understandably they are not happy.
  18. When the switch in mine broke I took it apart to find out why. When you use a bush wacker you blip the throttle rather than just have it on full all the time. Inside the switch I found that the bit of plastic connected to the throttle that completes the electric circuit was very flimsy and had snapped off. Since repair of this bit of plastic was not really possible I bought an ordinary lamp rocker switch and rewired the Wacker to use this switch. Worked fine but blipping not possible. Just on or off option. Dirt cheap repair and no waiting.
  19. The OP looks like it was written by AI. There was a thread recently announcing that the new site owners would be using AI articles and that links would not always be provided. The whole paragraph about how Hamas would throw LGBTQ protesters off roofs seems to have been filched from another article.
