  1. Would you please be so kind as to state what the Democrats vision is/was?

    Thank you.

What is the point of Pheu Thai's vision if it is completely unrealistic?

There you go again, neg, neg, neg.................

    Anybody remember "Kelly's Heroes ?"

" Don't give me the negative waves, man............."

"Bar girl telling you, you are a sexy man, does not make you a sexy man. The only thing it does is gets her a customer"

Making realistic and true promises are sure better then spinning nonsense. Not only that, any half brained individual should be offended as PTP presumes all voters are naive and stupid.

  2. This is exactly why Iran engineered a Hizbollah takeover of Lebannon so could block any arrest warrants issued to the Lebanese government. With Syria and Iran both engaged in murder and terrorist activities it's becoming clearer that a war against this unholy trinity is inevitable - If only the nettle had been grasped three years ago it would have been so much easier. :annoyed:

It does kind of explain all the latest military testings Iran has done. Mind you, if it was a test to check the readiness, perhaps doing silently would of been a better option, as the "enemy" now is well aware of the capability's

If the aim was to scare, i think Iran rather showed some of its cards, again making it easier for the "enemy" to prepare.

  3. Watched an interesting programme a couple of days ago, on BBC World News, featuring a discussion with 4 young Egyptian activists. The general view was that little has really changed since the january uprising, and that further demonstrations would be necessary, to prevent Egypt turning into another Islamic Republic, where sharia law was in force. Maybe this is what's happening now, seems the younger generation want real freedom, and are wary of the older generation taking over what they started. Interesting viewing, not sure if it's repeated or not.

Did you or anyone really think anything was going to change?

Just a little shuffle and everything back to usual, same sh't just different smell.

This is how its been , is and always going to be

  4. Poverty? if she wants to see poverty she needs to visit Cambodia

Thailand has more brand new cars on the road than the people.

Prices of goods are same, and in some cases even more then the West.

Property prices in BKK are on the par with some Western prices already, and sold daily.

How is she planning for Thailand to be competitive? on the world market when the cost of production will go up by about 10 times at least to cover all the wage increases.

Does she really think Toyota and all alike giants will remain in Thailand if their costs will soar?

How is she planning to develop work habits and remove the laziness? Most if not all business in Thailand have 3-5 times the amount of staff needed, because the job does not get done otherwise, if all those "extra" bodies get paid 6 times more the salary, what would happened to the price of the service and good?

Nothing but another useless and time wasting election statement promising an impossible and aimed at people with rather less brain cells.

  5. Pathetic is the primitive thinking of yours. She/they got scammed because she/they were stupid.

What kind of a moron goes to deposit the money into an account of someone who they do not even know? furthermore, if/when the "to be bf" does not have the money to pay customs tax, how is he planning to stay and pay for the holiday?

Simple common sense would suggest anyone traveling to another country has either cash or credit cards or some sort of money to pay for the trip

Read again: the scammer sends his bride-to-be a package with gifts. The shipping agency holds the package for tax-purposes, as per usual. They will also supply a list of items in the package. In most countries the receiver of a package pays the tax in the destination country.

The scam is that the package is all virtual since the shipper is a faked one, using a cloned webpage from some other agencies. Might even have a 'proper' tracking-functionality of the package in question.

I believe you are incorrect, the OP is not about this, not only that the scam you are talking about is paid to the customs, not the sender

    Read again.

I am reading and more reading and this is what i read

"they send the victims presents, but then they phone or email the victims asking that they transfer money to their accounts to pay for VAT [value-added tax] or import taxes at the airport,”

    Still reading

"Ms Monthira explained that one foreigner asked a Thai woman to send him money because he said he was being held at Phuket Airport by Thai Customs for trying to bring into the country too much foreign currency."

Perhaps you can underline for me where it talks about the scenario you trying to tell

  6. A friend who was chatting with a falang she met on internet wasn't cheated out of anything except her time. The guy was making all sorts of out landish promises and telling her he wanted to buy a house and had her running around looking for one. I tried to tell her the guy was bullsh-t but she wanted to believe the best of him.

The story finally unravelled when the down payment wasn't sent as promised and communication stopped. Needless to say he recieved one very angry email calling him things worse than a bufflo.

What the guy got out of it who knows but he did hurt a very nice woman, she had grown to like the guy during their chats

She fell for the scam because she was greedy. She didn't believe she could work, save money and buy her own house. A lot of them are like that.

I'm still renting because me ex didn't believe we could buy a house and pay installmentally. I guess she's still waiting for her internet bf to fulfill his promises of buying her a house (paid cash ) and a Camry ( my car is much more cheaper than a Camry ).

    Speaking about internet BF.

I had a date with one just the other day.

30 years old, not a stunner but ok to look at, works for good company.

First time we meet, she had no problem telling me that boyfriend must give her money and buy everything than she will have good feeling, if he not give money-have bad feeling and not have love.

Me being me, rather less diplomatic, i advised her that in this case, i much prefer to get bar girl, as not only it was cheaper but also more fun.

She had no problem looking me straight in the eyes and telling me that its not the same, and with her when he gives money its real love.whistling.gif

Just yesterday went to buy a new car and was advised by the sales girl( this one was actually pretty hot) that if i buy the car she would go for dinner and spend the night with me(commissions must be high).

Again, could not help myself but to advise her that 1 000 000 baht is little expensive just for 1 night, but i was happy if the offer was to be extended to 1 month-cheesy.gif

Seems there is no shortage of foreign guys that actually will be the "pay as we go" man. I guess it depends on ones needs and desirability, and if they deem it acceptable to pay for a girl like that. Some guys make a business calculation and may believe it is still cheaper than dating a woman in their home country and don't really care if the girl has very little upstairs or is not interesting, for it seems to be the physical company / sex that matters most, and the age/ slimness difference.

I cannot fault something if it works for them.

I found that adding "if you need money, ask your father" to an internet profile, will filter many scammers.

I think you are making an assumption that they actually read the profile.

In my profile i have in caps the following

    -no ladyboys

-no fathers looking for bf for sister or daughter or friend

i also have that i am australian living in thailand, can speak thai.

    You guessed, it.

Every second email is from a ladyboy or some guy looking for bf for sister etc etc

Every conversations starts with "where you from" "where you stay"

I think at the end of the day, the scams work because people fall for it, because either they too stupid to realize or use wrong part of the body to do the thinking.

But any offers or romances or anything else coming off the internet should definitely ring some bells

  7. Just yesterday went to buy a new car and was advised by the sales girl( this one was actually pretty hot) that if i buy the car she would go for dinner and spend the night with me(commissions must be high).

What??? She wanted dinner too? Cheeky salesgirl.

    TheWalkingMan

Absolutely! She wanted first I buy car, then take her for dinner and then let her use my body for her pleasures!

I dunno. As a farang male why don't you tell me?

Seems to be a lot of 'morons' on here with similar sob stories.

Well you the one doing the judging and seem to be able to suck the water out of thin air. So please educate me.

PS. What would you be? the dumped farang lady or the unpaid Thai lady?or the thai men wishing he could get money for nothing?

  10. I love threads like this.

It reminds me of how many idiots there are on this forum.

Love how you're all happy or justifying that this womandeserved it because: 1) it's always the other way around with Thais scammingforeigners , 2) she got scammed before she could scam him, 3) It's karma becauseyou got scammed by a Thai woman, or your friend got scammed, or a friend of afriend got scammed…

    Pathetic.

  12. Sorry, you threw me as I was expecting some follow up questions not a nonsensical posting!!! Both of my Thai wife's parents are deceased and her brothers and sisters have never asked for money from us. Sichon is a town and not a village so I don't need to hide my money. In fact 350 parents GIVE US money every month so kind of nullifies your thinking on this doesn't it.

passifier.gifI am sorry but your personal life is not of interest to me, nor it is in any way relevant to the threadofftopic2.gif

But just to make you feel better here some violin.gif

  13. So you must be the saviour of the village and entire family with the size if your "good heart", care and compassion?

Put any money aside for return airfare home yet? I suggest you hide it now, before it's too late.

Better to be kind hearted and understanding than patronising and uncaring!!!:jap: But you wouldn't understand this.

Do you actually know where Thailand is and what Phuket is?

Yesss!!! It's in South East Asia and I live here!! Phuket is a 3.5 hour drive away from where I live so I know this place too.

Can you ask me some more challenging questions please as these are far too easy!!

  14. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahha

    som-nam-na!!! the farang bites back!!!

There are of course exceptions, but the shear arrogance of some thai-birds in their scams and heartless schemes that really hurt people, emotionally.....

Playing with fire > getting burned > pot calling kettle > etc.

Thhe trouble with this is that it is not the same "Thai-birds" scamming the farangs that are being caught up in these reversed scamming activities. Surely you do not think that it is bar-girls that are being scammed so please have a little bit of sympathy for the Thai ladies that are being ripped-off!!! Besides, they (bar girls) are much too wiley and shrewd to fall for such things as they are the true master perpetrators of this type of scheme and DEFINITELY would not send money to SOMEONE ELSE.

    :violin:

Haven't been a victim yourself have we, by any chance???? :D

Yeah, this is why i am playing violin for your "kind "words, you must be one of the "good hearts" :cheesy:

  16. Did teacher put you in the corner for being a bad boy again??or did i take your fav toy gun away from you?

What your Video doesn't show is the mowing down of innocent people by gunfire. Not hand to hand fighting. How convenient for you. :bah:

If you attack someone with steel pipes and they have a gun, expect to get shot. These Islamic mercenaries were far from "innocent".

If a heavily armed group of men jumped through the roof of your house, you would pick up what ever you could use to defend both yourself and your property. That doesn't men the perp has the right to shoot you dead.

As for your alter ego. Kuff Kuff. I don't play with him anymore. He is your own secret little friend. :D

  17. Interesting as no other source reported such a statement

    re

Israel issued a retraction this morning and will treat journalists exceptionally as would be the case with most democratic countries.

They no longer plan to bar them from Israel for 10 years or impound their equipment.

And the source for a statement is?

As well as the source of a statement when Israel planned to bar journalists ?

    http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/28/world/middleeast/28israel.html?_r=1

  18. For your information. knives, steel pipes and molotov cocktails are all weapons.

The members of this violent group of Turks were not carrying identity cards or passports. Instead, each of them had an envelope in his pocket with about $10,000 in cash

Cash must of been for duty free shopping.

And all of the above mentioned weapons were just toys , since some members here do not evev consider kassam rockets to be a weapon
