  1. Does anyone know if there is a law or a rule when it comes to time frame for car or vehicle registration transfer?

What i mean is, example, if i buy a used car what time frame LEGALLY is there to transfer the name?

In Australia by law it has to be done within 14 days of the sale, so is there a law or rule in Thailand? and is there a link to such law/rule in either languages english or thai.

    thanks in advance

  2. Amazingfeat for a retarded medieval theocratic dictatorship! Maybe they will rent outspace in future spaceflights for nation that have run out of founds for theirspace programs? On credit off course!

I think it would more suit the regional mindset if they rented out payload delivery space so other knuckle scrapers could pay to put their cargos of chemical, biological or nuclear weapons on board.

A considerable achievement for a nation that is continually ridiculed by americans and their allies. Incidentally, the only nation that I know of, that has used both nuclear and chemical weapons in Asia is the bad ol' USA, who are finally starting to clean up the after effects of agent orange in Vietnam. A "weapon" that has affected the health of 3 million people of which 400,000 may have died. (BBC). Let's hope Iran doesn't follow the americans' example.

I do not believe USA or any other nation ridicule Iran at all,if anything the majority of the world is trying to stop Iran, because unlike many other nations in the world, Iran is the only one making official statements to remove another state from the face of the earth.

On the other hand, its a great achievement for a country which is so heavily sanctioned, HOWEVER I do hope, perhaps next time they put Ahmadinejad as a passenger or a cargo inside that "homemade" satellite and send him into orbit also. Perhaps sending a few politicians along may not be such a bad idea

  3. I am not really sure or understand why a "probe" is needed and why UN is still "urging"

    Has the regime killed thousands-YES

Has the regime used tanks to kill civilians and target them-YES

Has the regime misplaced thousands and numbers are growing-YES

Are the refugee camps not enough evidence? need to still probe?

Why has not UN condemned Syrian regime yet? and passed any resolutions?

Perhaps they can send honorable Judge Goldstone to probe, considering his extensive experience and knowledge in the region

  4. It is a budget airline for a reason

You do not want the hassles, just pay the "full" price which is sometimes double and problem solved.

You want to save some money, spend little time on the website.

I really do not see the fuss and i use it 4-6 times per year, even with extra so called charges it still 25%-40% cheaper than other airlines on the same route.

    Cambodia is a perfect example

AA return usually around 3000 baht

    TG is around 6000baht

  5. Why would the west be secretly happy?

    And

When did turkey plan to intervene?

    And

Any decent reason why Iran has not done it yet?

And what other neighboring countries would help Syrian regime?

If Turkey intervenes in Syria for whatever reasons, Iran may also step in, and that will trigger intervention by other middle east countries,

There is no credible opposition to the government in Syria. (no Karzai on Chalabi on the horizon)

I suspect the West is secretly happy with Russia, and China's sanction's veto

  6. Thanks for explanation.

In all fairness in most civilized countries including Oz, when they open a cashier, they would always call out "next in line" that includes supermarkets, postal services, banks etc.

In Thailand just like with everything else it's a chaos. So I do not think you can blame the woman for being upset or angry, but that does not make you wrong either.

This is how things are in Thailand .

Either go with a flow or have a few drinks to help with reality.

In my first few years I was drinking heavily to help the frustration, these days there are not too many things that would bother me. Even when certain non thai people pick up bread with their hands, smell it, poke fingers in it and just put it back.

A queue-system means that people line up in a queue. If another queue opens up it is up to each and every person to validate if they would like to move to this newly forming queue, to possibly gain a few positions up in turn, or if they are happy with where they stand.

Anything else is just plain stupid and up for so much debate as to whom is more right than others that it becomes a parody.

May i ask what was the purpose or the reason for making this thread?

Did you feel insulted that a "white unattractive woman" ignored you and addressed your GF , rather than you?

or was it that "white unattractive woman" dared to question you? because you may consider yourself to be in some "special"position where "white unattractive woman" do not have the right to question you

or would it make any difference if it was white man or Thai person?

Or are you trying to seek advice? or you simply so bored that you need some mental stimulation and the only way to achieve that was to make this kind of a thread?

So please clarify the reason for this thread and the purpose.

I was bored and foresaw that some of the usual suspects would jump in with the usual agendas.

Oh, and if it was a man then some posters would be noting that the typical white man that lives here is low-class etc etc, but since it is a white woman that did it...well, the notion is not allowed to be propose on this forum. :)

In either way, It is neither the predominantly European culture nor Thai culture to somehow stand back when one is lucky to walk past a cashier that opens a new queue and proceeds to serve you. But yet this lady found it normal to 'educate' a local by loudly proclaiming her problem. So even if she isn't a typical colonial Aussie, she is atleast culturally ignorant and rude.

But it is always fun seeing people defend them...

  8. Maybe the "Freedom Flotillas" being organized this summer can be diverted to assist these people in need? Will the Turks be sending their nationals to render assistance to the brutalized Syrians? It's rather revealing that Turkey has forbidden any journalists from talking to the refugees or from entering the detention centers. And yes the Syrians are being detained. They are kept behind fences with armed guards and not allowed to circulate. Quite different from the image Turkey usually presents.

Must be run by the "wrong" owned mediawink.gif

  9. Have you noticed Dan, that the usual "lovers" of the middle eastern topics have been rather silent about the issue?!

No comments, no condemnation, not even a half tried defense-just plain silence, yet 3000 and growing number of people have been misplaced and their homes gone, not to mention over 1000 already killed.

Mean time, should there be 1 kill or 1 misplaced person in the neighboring country, even words like "apartheid" are thrown around like a beach ball, not to mention words like terrorists, oppression, etc etc etc

Which neighbouring country are you referring to, I believe there are 4 to choose from?

Well which neighboring country always gets attacked for flashing the toilet wrong way? or gets labelled the bigest world rule breaker for having a car run the red light?

  11. They're jewish and homosexual ?? Sounds a bit like masochism on a mass scale !!

They are people with hands, legs and everything else just like anyone else. What they do in the bedroom is no ones business.

Religion or nationality have nothing to do with sexual preferences.

The only difference is, while being Jewish and Gay is every Jewish mothers nightmare, it is still a fact and people in Israel are allowed to celebrate it, unlike in the neighboring countries or even Russia.

This has nothing to do with pleasing USA as some poster keeps claiming, and nothing to do with with anything else.

Prior to this year, there were always anit gay demonstrators also, the religious right wing, however they did not bash, kill or cut off any parts of their body.

So in a nutshell, Israel is showing once again about its "development" unlike the "springs" and the "offsprings" or the "onsprings" or whatever name you want to give it.

  12. I do not want China to have too much influence on the rest of the world either, but they are - pretty much - doing things in a civilized way so all the rest of the world can to is try to compete.

Radical Islam - on the other hand - is all about hate and violence and needs to be resisted by the enlightened world in the strongest way.

Thats foolish, history shows us that the US always has a Bad Guy Du Jour, yesterday Vietnam and the Russians. Communisism was a dirtier word then Terrorism. Before That the North Koreans and our "civilized" Chinese friends, Before that The Nazis. We need to look beyond our self manufactured bad guy and be a bit more forward thinking. China is by far the biggest threat to democracy and the economies of the world then any other entity or ideal we face now.Gen Macarthur saw it back in 51 when he requested 38 nukes just for China.

Bet we wouldn't be relying on one twisted merciless, selfish ( you see China anywhere on this list? http://en.wikipedia....table_countries) communist country for 75% of the manufactured goods we use today had he got his request.

Please do tell how and why China is by far the biggest threat to democracy and the economies of the world then any other entity or ideal we face now.blink.gif

I do not recall seeing or hearing China trying to convert the rest of the world into Chinese, nor have i heard of China trying to conquer the world. Economically, perhaps yes but they have done that long ago.

  13. Like it or not, China is a product of the West.

It was "US" THE West who moved all manufacturing to China-hence building Chinese economy.

All major and small players from socks to computers have moved to China for cheap labor.

Is China a physical threat? i do not think so.

    Is China an economical threat?absolutely.

The development of an aircraft, i have no doubt will be a success and faster than any other nation and no doubt it will be fully operational and in working order. China does have access to all best technology, does have the resources and the ability to make it.

Just like Russia has its own which works just fine, China will not be any different.

You also need to keep in mind that the appliances are private enterprises, where quality control and durability is NOT really the first priority. It is much better for appliances to break rather than to last.

However the aircraft is government project, and i am sure should job be "dodgy" those responsible may end up in jail or shot, so the quality will be there.

In my opinion, if West is so worried, all they need to do is move all the factory's out of China and while China will not starve, it sure will take away loads of money and power from there.

  14. For those too busy spreading zionist propaganda, this topic is about children being made homeless by Israels demolition policy. If the UN has published a statement that 67 of these kids have been treated this way in the past month, I would far rather believe that, than any of the pro-jewish comments on this forum. It is regrettable that Israels heavy handed policies, are more than likely increasing Palestinian resentment against them even further. This kind of behaviour will also only harden the middle east's attitude to Israels number one ally, the USA, who seem intent on continuing to ignore all acts of terrorism committed by Israel, and it's other "friends", such as Bahrein, and Saudi Arabia, while condemning countries it sees as a threat such as Iran and Syria. This whole demolition programme reminds me of the Nazis forcing jewish families from their homes in areas they occupied in World War II. Obviously lessons have been learned. How would you feel if you were a child, and your Dad built you a house to live in? Then an army of occupation came along and knocked it down, while you could see jews building more and more houses, for their kids to live in.

Seems to me that Israel and the USA are creating more terrorists than they are stopping.

    so lets get it right.

When PA beats, tortures and kills its own citizens-thats perfectly acceptable

When Hamas tortures, kills, its own people, uses kids as human shields is also perfectly acceptable

    HOWEVER

When Israel demolishes un-approved developments, which means built without a permit, which also means may not comply with Israel's building codes-thats bad Israel ????? Did i get it rightunsure.gif

Parens of those kids who chose to ignore the rules and regulations are totally innocent and are not to blame?

Now correct me if i am wrong, but i always thought one of the main duties of a parent was to protect the kids with any means necessary, which includes shielding them from the bad and protecting from any harm coming their way.

So building a house without a permit on territory occupied by the "so called enemy", how does that fall into the parent duty?Parents were well aware of the possibility of demolition and possible violence, yet went ahead and did it anyways, So where should the blame rest one more time please?

Now, 67 kids. considering that they usually have 3-5 kids per family, that would mean approx 20 or so homes were demolished. Now put those "homes" into a condo or unit block and you have 1-2 unit blocks.

    WOW thats real oppressionblink.gif

  15. And here you are defending those who do not believe or allow any freedom, which includes speech, opinion or beliefs.

And attack those who are democratic and do have and support freedoms of above mentioned.

    Little hypocritical me thinks

    o

I donot know what is more scary?

Someone who thinks like this or someone who thinks it's ok to speak out lin public showing his opinions.

Which part of unapproved construction is hard to understand?

Israel dud not go into Palestinian controlled territory and demolished the houses. Israel demolished unapproved buildings on it's territory with warnings.

I reckon Israel should throw out all Arabs, take their possessions build a china wall and let them do whatever they wish.

Israel"s treatment of Palestinians has reached a new low.

The daily harassment, intimidation, and murder is an act of terrorism by the State of Israel against the Palestinian people.

Western Jewish dominated media will give little or no coverage of Israel inhuman treatment of the Palestinians.

Too True. But what's new there?

It will remain that way until either the isrealis kill all, or the vast majority of, the Palestinians, similar to how Americans killed most of the indigenous tribes off. Or America either chooses not too or is no longer in a position too, back israel in it's apartheid and the pendulum of Karma swings back against the occupiers. But my guess is that the rest of the world will just stand by while isreal kills the Palestinians off, backed by shucking and jiving zionist apologist US politicians, paid too much to man up and do the right thing.

I would rather the US ditch isreal and back the Gulf States in return for cheap oil. They would do it too. Like imagine if the US made a deal with just the GCC countries. something like Oil for military protection. Put it too a vote in the US, israel's friendship or $2 a gallon gas. See how many Americans would support israel then.

I know what's more scary than either. Someone who thinks if you don't agree with him you should not have the right express your opinion publicly.

In the US we have the Bill of Rights, the first Amendment they spelled out was the Freedom of Speech. The Second, the right to keep and bear arms, so that we may defend that very first right from people of your mentality.

Either way untill it's deleted or I'm Banned or I change my mind, thats what I feel, and you don't have to like it, no more than I need to like whatever you have to say.

    Its a forum of opinions.

  17. I agree with Geriatrikid, the aspect of 'what' is built is as important as 'where' it's built. Prior to the onset of Jews arriving in Israel at the start of the last century the place was sparcely populated and the indigenous communities suffered high instances of malaria. The Jewish settlers brought sanitation and developed the land. If you have no standards and no regulation you never progress. In recent years an earthquake flattened much of Cairo whilst the four thousand year old monuments in the valley of the kings were scarely touched, there's progress, or not.

Finally the so called right of return collapses under the weight of logistical considerations such as water and sanitation, not to mention a viable self-supporting economy as oppose to a giant Haiti style welfare sponge.

Just why do you think you know what's good for a people? Progress? Why would you think they want progress.

So how about Israel doesn't decide what is good for another people and just leaves them be.

Because Israel controls the land due to historical reasons which are off topic. Some resources are however shared between Countries and what goes on in one has a direct bearing on it's neighbours in respect of water supply and air quality to name two instances. If you poison a water source at the point it exits your Country it has an impact on your neighbours as does building an unsafe building next to your neighbour when for example an explosion from a gas mains may impact them.

Like it or not Israel calls the shots with land under their jurisdiction, this applies to Jewish settlers as well as Palestinians and incidentally more illegal Jewish buildings were demolished than Palestinian ones last year.

Israel's actions are unconscionable and immoral.

Building without permits with no regard for others is unconscionable and immoral.

Removing those is the ONLY right thing to do.

So how about Israel doesn't decide what is good for another people and just leaves them be.

Israel does not tell anyone what to do in their own country! However any building in Israel and under Israel governance is to comply with Israel's building codes.

Any developments erected without an approval get removed, just like in any other country in the world.

Before anyone starts to go off topic and claim this is an occupied land etc, it is under Israel's control and therefore must comply with Israels laws. The moment peace agreement is signed and should the land be handed over, they can do what they like, but until then they have no right to do as they wish.

In some countries, people are not even allowed to paint their house without prior approval from the local authority

  19. Israel"s treatment of Palestinians has reached a new low.

The daily harassment, intimidation, and murder is an act of terrorism by the State of Israel against the Palestinian people.

Western Jewish dominated media will give little or no coverage of Israel inhuman treatment of the Palestinians.

I guess just being shot or beaten to death is a much better treatment. Israel should really follow Syrian policy's

Using little bit of a common sense would sure go a long way. If you do not build illegally then the house does not get demolished.

The so called "Western Jewish dominated media" sure gives enough coverage to even most ridiculous events including this one, especially with statements like ""Palestinians are refused permits and are forced to build illegally. They then suffer the humiliation either of having the Israeli authorities destroy their homes, or are forced to destroy their homes themselves and foot the bill," added Gunness."

I also like this statement ""Under international law, Israel must ensure that persons under its jurisdiction enjoy the fulfillment of their human rights, including the right to housing, health, education, and water. UNRWA calls on Israel to respect its legal obligations," said the UNRWA spokesman."

I guess as long as its the arabs who kill the arabs, then such law does not exist , not to mention Palestine having one of the highest education levels in the region, even higher then Egypt and enjoys better living standards then its neighbors according to the report from the very same UN agency.

and there is no need to point out that over 1 million arabs live in Israel without having their houses demolished, but rather their houses build, kids educated, and first class medical care provided(at least kids do not die in Israel hospitals because parents do not have money to pay), furthermore some 15 000 Palestinians get FREE medical treatment from Israel hospitals.

and MOST IMPORTANTLY, I guess it is ok to report on Israel just not ok to report truth about their own government:unsure:

'PA bans journalists from reporting human rights abuses'

Palestinian journalists say PA forbidding to publicize findings of ICHR report on torture, arrests, arbitrary detentions by PA, Hamas.
