  1. kuffki

I like your style (alot)! As far as unit numbers, how many floors/ units per floor? Would a 502 suffice or a 2087?

I forgot about Robinson - literally next door - I'll check their parking policy/ pricing!

Any suggestions on approach to the area from Pattaya direction?

Its a 28-30 level condo with about 8-10 rooms per floor, I lived there for 5 years, but 3 years ago so memory is little rusty but go with something under 100 or just pick the floor, again security does not speak English, so they will not understand anyway.

There are 2 ways to get there.

    1. Take Bang Na exit, its little longer drive, but you will come from Onnut(the correct side of the road)

    2. Ding Dang exit, go down to Nana, past Nana to Asok and do a uturn at Asok to come back to soi 10

Another option you have is to park all the way down soi 10, near the Centerpoint Condo, just on the street, police too lazy to walk all the way down the soi(however not sure what has happened there, as there was vacant land, so possibly some development has started already)

  2. There is no "official"parking in soi 10. You will not see any signs but may find your car wheel locked.

Because there are no signs, i do not believe its legal, and i do not think you breaking any laws, however i lived in soi 10 and every day saw cars being locked.

My best suggestion is (however its little cheecky) drive to Sukhumvit Park Condo, its almost at the end of the soi on the left and drive into the car park. Tell security you are visiting a friend in any room that pops into your mind and they will let you through( i should also mention, security does not speak any English) and are too lazy to walk into an office to check with that unit.

There you can park every day, just take the lift down and walk out.

When you come back, ask the girl in the convenience store in the lobby to open the door for you, because you forgot your card, she will do without a question.

Your other options are to park in Times Square or Robinson, unsure what they charge.

  3. Mr Putin is trying to show that Russia is still a world power , I live on the East coast of the UK, Russia. is always trying it on , The RAF scramble Typhon Fighter jets, One of the most up to date planes in the world , against a Plane that is out dated and slow. One day there is going to be an accident. for me the RAF should just shoot them down with ground to air missiles. end of story. Play with fire you get burnt.

Russia still is a world power, and is the only one who has influence over China, Cuba, North Korea, Iran, Syria, Burma and all other states where the entire world failed to achieve anything or show any influence even with all the sanctions.

Not to mention, not so long ago Russia threw out all UK officials and UK senior management of BP( i am not 100%, but one of the oil giants). UK government had to crawl back and seek compromise in hope to re-establish the relations.

Many also seem to forget European Winter less than 3 years ago, when Russia cut its gas supplies and Europe almost froze to death. So if anything, yeah Russia still is a superpower and world power especially in European region

1 very important factor to keep in mind is that Russia is fully self sufficient and has enough natural resources, manpower and brain cells to sustain its economy and living without any interactions with the rest of the world, but when they have, and always had states like China and Middle east as its partners, they really do not need to worry about the West.

They flew into other airspace to simply check the response time and response strategy, call it military exercise!

How else would Russian military intelligence gather this kind of information in regards to response time, response strategy, even the number of F-16's that were sent.

  4. I'm sure there are sundry NGO's and politically motivated activists masquerading as human rights organisations who are no no doubt salivating at the prospect of him starving himself to death.

You reckon they find a way to twist it and make it out that Israel made him go on strike? or stopped providing food for him?

I reckon, they will make it into him being tortured and starved to death and he was a peace loving person who never harmed even a fly, of course he was also an elderly civilian ph34r.gif

  5. How is Tutu relevant to Israel complaining to UN about border breach with Syria ? And how do his comments on Palestine relate to Syria border clash and border breach?

    c

Granted I did not read ALL of it Tutu about Saudi Arabia, that is because it is totally irrelevent anyway, this is about Israel and he DID comment about that.

It is trite to say that Arrafat and Obama have won Nobel prizes, so has Doctors without borders, Mandela, Rabin, Perez, Dalai Lama,

It is yet another high profile person, of substance, that has commented negatively on Israel. an ever growing list.

You are missing the point entirely. You cite the article as being a piece about Tutu blasting Saudi Arabia when he didn't do so.

Now you are spinning your mistake. Why not simply admit you screwed up and didn't read it all.

'Oopsies' are acceptable in this forum, if admitted.

ChuckD, if you look at the first line of my post I do say........'Granted I didn't read it all'. BIG oops. Though Saudi Arabia is still irrelevent. :D

  6. Doesn't it seem rather amazing that this border should explode at this exact moment in time?

Just as Syria seems to be having problems with their own citizenry and are killing them with abandon, the border with Israel suddenly erupts for the first time in modern memory.

Some of you will say it is merely a coincidence caused by the evil Israelis, while some will say it appears to be a ploy on the part of the Syrian regime to deflect worldwide criticism of their own tyranny.

I come down on the side of the ploy.

Then why have the Syrian police stop them from doing it again?

No, they started to act because failed to receive any kind of support from UN or International Community, not only that but UN called on Syria to act. This is the only reason why!!!

  7. " It is vital that any response is proportionate"

This is the key and Israel doesn't know the meaning of these two words. They more play the 20-1 game. 20 Arabs for every Israeli. This was a case of blatant murder of unarmed civilians. Those IDF memebers involved must be feeling fairly big and strong today. :bah:

actually its more like 350 000 000 arabs against 5 000 000 jews :bah:, unless you forgotten the reason for the border clashes

I hope that IDF soldiers feel big and strong, because everyday they are dealing with lunatics on all fronts

  8. I've stolen your land, I've shot you and now I'm off to complain.

You mean, you have attacked me and lost the fight and in the process lost some of your belongings.

You then decided to try it again, and again attacked me and lost again.

You then try to come again, despite me warning you, and yet you ignore and try to play the sweet innocent victim.

So now i am going to complain, so next time you try to come again and get your head kicked, you do not run screaming you did nothing wrong.

Is that the scenario you are describing?

  9. Have the IDF ever heard of Non Lethal force? It is a technique that most modern defense forces are well trained in. If the soldier's on the ground lives were not in danger then why shoot to kill.

BTW Al Jazzera is now reporting 20 killed.

The IDF had used non lethal measures previously with no success. The attackers still went through the clouds of tear gas and dodged the rubber bullets.

Tell you what, you go to an area where a state of war is still in place and use non lethal means when a bunch of hostile people start charging at you from the side that is still at war wth you, and see how long you last.

The guilty party in these deaths is the Syrian government that aided and abetted these idiots. The people that died knew what they were doing and chose to put to throw away their lives. Not the brightest of people to allow themselves to be manipulated by the Assad regime and even stupider to have charged at a nation that is under a state of war.

Yes, that's right a state of war. Syria is still in a state of war with Israel as it has refused to sign any armistice or peace treaty. Any violent people running towards Israel will be considered combatants.

They were not Syrian troops with assault rifles they killed. They were civilians waveing flags on a day when IDF personnel should have been 'warned out' and well prepared to deal with these protests that occur every year.

I have been in situations of being confronted by people protesting hysterically waving flags and never had the urge to shoot them. It is called good training and disciple. It is also called' not commiting war crimes against unarmed civilians'.

    :cheesy:

Would you care to explain in detail what that NON Lethal force is? and perhaps show some examples of the use of the so called NON lethal force? specifically when it comes to border breaches.

Perhaps IDF should follow the example of Syrian armed forces ;)

  11. When will you train your teachers in Pattaya school how to teach? or better yet when will you stop employing bar girls in Pattaya branch? or at least when will you make sure that your teachers can actually read Thai better then the students?

Your Marketing is great, shame your retention rate is non existent, even though retention and repeat customers is part of marketing mix.

We do not employ bar girls. I am not sure how you came to this conclusion.

By seeing one in the bar previously is one sure way, or bar-talk English language which is used is another give awaywink.gif and inability to read Thai just to add to the mix.

Maybe she was just having a beer? No idea, even if that is the case I was not aware of that.

    Absolutelysmile.gif!

And a foreigner boyfriend double or triple her age is just a distant relative or a step fatherwink.gif

  13. In the article linked above, the former head of the Mossad say the current Israeli govt. was "foolish" for not accepting peace on the 1967 borders.

Bo honest. The Palestinians have never agreed to that deal and it has been offered numerous times by Israel.

Three times the Palestinians have been offered exactly that formula, 1967 plus swaps — at Camp David 2000, Taba 2001, and the 2008 Olmert-Abbas negotiations. Every time, the Palestinians said no and walked away.

    http://www.washingto...YJCH_story.html

Confusing indeed. This deal that Obama offered has be proposed three times before by Israel? Yet now Obama gets slated and the 1967 borders are not acceptable to Israel? I need enlightenment.

Need to keep in mind, first deal was offered over 10 years ago and another 3 years ago, many things have changed over the years. Also there is an issue of Jerusalem, not sure on the Palestinian position right now, but before they demanded Jerusalem to be the capital of Palestine

  14. I'm sure that the opposition leader is very sincere and not just trying to make political points!

Kuffki requested names, and I provided them. It's unfortunate that you doubt the sincerity of Tzipi Livni. But as you posted earlier,

It is funny how some posters are full of support for every Jew who supports their agenda.

    :whistling:

Its not about sincerity, but about agenda, and i am afraid opposition leader is hardly a useable example.

You did say many other(S) but gave an example of opposition leader-common lets be realistic.

Perhaps you want to correct your earlier statement to "in your opinion and possibly others who oppose Israel or current Israeli administration) rather than (many others)

  15. Many others like who?

Please post names and links confirming what you said .

    You're probably right, Wallaby.

But Netanyahu's actions are so recklessly dangerous we can only hope for someone in Israel to take control of the situation.

Recklessly dangerous in whose opinion? Yours or .....?

As Uly pointed out, just because someone does nor like an opinion or action of another - it does not make it right or wrong for that matter.

Mine and many others. And as you and "Uly" pointed out, just because someone doesn't like an opinion or action of another - it does not make it right or wrong for that matter.

    :)

Clearly Israeli PM opinion and actions are liked by majority of Israeli people, otherwise he would not be a PM.

As for Jesus speaking, since when did he become a role model?for the entire human race.

  18. I am somewhat fascinated and puzzled to read news like this.

For starters why does Palestinian News Network report on French proposal yet none of the other News Networks know anything about this news, not even French News Networks.

Its the second time already Palestinian News report on something that either did not take place, or was not said or even existed.

  19. Yes, what a wonderful gesture. Now the shakedown of arabs at the border points, the thefts and inflated prices charged people in the border towns will not be impeded. If the Egyptians had 1/2 a brain they'd follow the US-Canada border example and create a retail sector zone intended to serve the Gaza strip residents instead of ripping them off.

The opening of the Rafah border crossing brings an end 4 years of ghetto existence for the people of Gaza, and permits Palestinians to enter Egypt for business or pleasure more freely.

That this will result in "thefts and inflated prices" is a pretty negative view.

Actually, its not what will result, its how its been all the time.
