What if funds are deposited in bank in Singapore? Does it have to be in Thailand?

I got few European friends here who want to travel to Penang and obtain tourist visas there.

Just double checking if info is correct:

1. They can only get single entry 30 days right?

2. Apply Monday, collect visa on Tuesday?

3. Bring 2 pics?

4. What is the cost?

5. Anything else they should know?

The friendliest people I encontered were in Yala of all places. Rode in from Malaysia on my bike first time in 1995 and been visiting ever since. Phuket, where I live right now unfriendliest by far.

I know Gary and honestly it was a big shock to me upon hearing about arrest. He was associated with Law Enforcement back in NZ before coming to Thailand. I don't believe he is drug dealer but let the Thai courts make judgement on that. He speaks almost perfect Thai and was very useful to me and few friends when we needed certain help either from Provincial or Tourist Police. Never asked for any money for services rendered either. I think it is unfair to throw jabs at other Tourist Police Volunteers because of this case....you wouldn't believe how many expats from Phuket are interested to become TP volunteers but posting crap on TV belittling the organization in few other related topics. Innocent until proven guilty, I am sure you would be screaming your lungs out if in same predicament.

Baan Prang Thong housing project, Khwang Road, Phuket.

I bought my first property at his project back in 1999. It used be very nice place, clean, maintened properly and with care. These days that is no longer the case but what a heck, I figured that is usual story all over the country in projects like these. Lately I noticed unusual high number of flies, rats invasion and during windy days unbearable garbage stench coming from somewhere. I asked garbage collector who by the way picks trash with his sidecar motorcycle where do they dispose this crap. He explained trash is loaded on big trucks on daily basis and dumped somewhere far away. In all these years I never seen trash truck here so decided to follow this guy and find out real story. Barely 2 hours ago, I've seen him dumping garbage inside the project within forested area that hardly anyone knows about. There is a beaten path leading to huge garbage dump. Place is totally infested by flies, rats, stray dogs...Asked few of my neighbors if they knew about this dump and none did. Surely there must be some law forbidding garbage dumping within residential area? Are they (project management) allow to do this? Check 2 attached files: one is actual dump and another gps coordinates of the said location.

Topic title says it all. Anyone knows where in Phuket to get this? Tried few pet shops but they don't even know what I'm talking about.

Bought the car and the bike with 50% downpayment, no work permit but valid non-o visa. My wife was guarantor. In both cases I knew owners of the dealerships who put good word for me with financiers so that helped a lot too.

I would also like to report act of honesty, took place on December 24th at Central Festival Phuket Food Court.

We bought iPhone for our son (Christmas Gift) and after finishing lunch he forgot the bag containing phone and some other stuff and left it on the table. 10km's later, while in the car, my son realized he lost the phone and we turned back. Security guard recognized us and told us the bag and it's contents were at apple shop to be collected. We rewarded him with Thb 1,000, small token of appreciation for his honesty.

I rode in all SEA countries except Indonesia and Vietnamese are by far worst drivers I've ever seen. It is incomparable with Thailand. But Filipinos are much better educated drivers than. Thai. And as far as I'm concerned Burmese are better than Thai too.

Phuket is over priced and pattaya can be difficult to re-sell ..Hua Hin is a good choice if you like driving

You need to learn difference between condo and studio apartment. Calling little crib a condo just to justify being cheap ass is another story.

That's the thing about Filipinos over here, especially women. They always looking for special treatment and when they don't get one everyone is "rude".

I have been getting 1 year multiple NON-O visa from KL for 14 years without any problems whatsoever. But that is not the point. My question is how early can I apply for new 1 year visa before current one expires. That's all.
