'oxo', in 1947, 'oxo' was in Europe a powerfull beef concentrate (until components had to be listed on the label, and it showed there was about no beef in it...) cheaply 'giving strength' to the poor working class (mixed with boiling water). It is still sold, and, maybe, you had it pure, an overdose... to be able to write such stuff.

That's very good bangrak--thank you for the history of oxo---

However I do think you may have missed my point a little, This line

"if the lady really believes in what she stands for-- then go to jail, the world would be on your side."

Ergo -: the lady does not believe what she says she stands for , but after many promises to her deluded followers that she would stay and fight, she would rather give the government 30 million in bail money and go live in luxury in Dubai.

The people I listed took the harder more principled  stance, than the run-away Yingluck and her brother.

  2. No its not so binjalin..she was jailed and put into solitary confinement in 2003, as in most of these cases the UN and other government's put pressure on for her release... the home jail was for 15 years. So yes lots of comparison to the lady who decided to run.

there and there were rumours of something 'happening

yes.. well I do not have your contacts obviously, so I dont know of all the mysterious rumours --but killing a political prisoner is usually a step much to far. Even the south African government wouldn't contemplate it with Mandela. And he was quite a lot more of a pain than Yingluck, who essentially, as most people recognise,  is just her brothers puppet.

As you probably know when her brother done a runner, he left his lawyers with the mess & they were jailed because of it. Jail time..according to them was quite an easy experience  1 to a cell their meals brought in etc...its not quite the same life as the village bag snatcher.

  3. Were not talking about a hugh sentence here--- if the lady really believes in what she stands for--(like her counter part in Burma) then go to jail, the world would be on your side. Her brother only got 2 years---he is possibly thinking he may have made the wrong move now in legging it.

Just a few who stayed---- and went on to be the leaders & written in history

    Aung San Suu

    Mahatma Gandhi

    Benazir Bhutto

    Lech Walesa

    Nelson Mandela

seems reasonable to me,  nobody comes to the beach to drink.

I think you should have the option HooHaa... I really like the Asian way of going to the beach, take the family & friends, sit under cover, read the paper, eat some food play some board games, have a beer , while the kids run down to the water etc..in Oz I never stayed more than an hour at the beach.

Such a small cost for a nice day out.......

    .

They cant sell booze but you can take your own, it gets a bit silly.

  5. That country really has come along leaps & bounds..(no I dont want to live there) When I was deciding where to retire late 90s.... I done 2 months in most neighbouring countries & PI --I decided to write Cambodia off as a dead lost after just a month there, it was still quite scary at that time. I said to a friend that was travelling with me---"Lets head for Vietnam--if we come back here in 15-20 years it might be liveable" but the money just poured in, mainly from Japan, & every-time I went for a visit, every-time I was more surprised.

Yes the wealth isn't being distributed evenly.....So what's new.

Infrastructure has really improved --it was so basic years ago, all they were selling was young bodies...I was there for the first department store opening 2008-9 I think.....funny no one had seen "The amazing Magic moving stairs"  they would walk up to the escalator and stop in horror at it moving.

Such nice friendly people--hope it does well...

Took the pic from another site---saw the $1 girls around a lot--everything they sold was $1, no one wanted to deal in their money--they sold bracelets that they had sat & made under candle light the night before.

  6. An Asian girl...27 ..would look younger...with farang age ??

Yes she will get over it--but will you ? So many "Real Men" on here telling you how you should kick her to the curb--give her nothing etc.....after 18 years of living here, seen a lot of them sobbing into their beer--making a fool of themselves when she does find someone new, etc

Men play the typical “over it” role – they go out, they immediately find a new girl to hang with, they seem, by all accounts, perfectly fine. But how do guys actually react to breakups IRL?

You don't need to see test scores to see the daily stupidly here.

Was this the professor in his earlier work that you are quoting upside?..

Richard Lynn’s chart from IQ and Global Inequality. Richard Lynn is a hardcore racist, typical of most hereditarian IQ researchers.

Indeed, Lynn puts SE Asian IQ at 87 and considers them about the 4th most intelligent group on the planet, behind NE Asians, European Caucasians, and Eskimos. Lynn’s theory also presupposes a relationship between latitude and race. So we can’t have any smarties down there in the hot weather. They all have to come from frigid land, where their IQ’s got nice and refrigerated. Problem is that evidence shows that Central regions actually produce more geniuses than Northern or Southern regions.

In order to fit the facts into his dubious theory, Lynn plays a lot of games. He refuses to note that Southern Chinese are some of the smartest people on Earth – their IQ is thought to be ~105, or possibly higher. The Chinese provinces around Hong Kong have often produced some of the brightest Chinese cohorts in the land.

Further, we can’t have any real bright SE Asians either, for the same reasons as for the Southern Chinese, and also so as not to mess up his SE Asian IQ of 87...etc...etc

    https://robertlindsay.wordpress.com/2011/01/03/southeast-asian-iq-scores/

After so much criticism of his work Richard Lynn was forced to go back and revise his IQ theories on a world bases, working with  Tatu Vanhanen, a Finnish Professor of Political Science, who conducted IQ studies in more than 80 countries . He now places Asians as the top 6 highest IQ countries in the world.

A more up to date chart of his findings is here.. However all IQ theories must be interpreted with extreme caution.

  8. I usually always buy my cars ..(only 3..) in BKK where, although you get a much better deal- test driving them is more like sitting in a car park. So If I am changing models, or just not certain, I would rent for a day. Most of the better rental firms have the model you want....500-800 baht for the day.
