Gosh you do dig up some old ones Mutt--- Robson green looks a lot better there then in Grantchester -
I didn't see that bluejets--thank you for pointing it out. I am waiting for them to answer my e-mails. However it makes it confusing when they then advertise a home owners kit to fix--I never drink from the tap, have an indoor filtering system-and that water is only used for boiling (Coffee etc) ---I guess I will have to wait for an answer from them---Thanks again -------------------- Are you a DIY type that can take the situation in to his/her own hands? The Homeowner Kit is made for the homeowner that knows they have a leak and simply can’t find someone who can let them know what it is and what it might cost to repair it without a hassle. If you know there’s a leak and it falls under the category of “fixable with PipeFuze” (see our verification video) than this is the kit you need. Works from ½ inch lines to 2 ½ inch lines. Geared for residential use,

No mtis2005----they buy because not everything has the same product (or better) for free. I thought that was what would have been be obvious. You can give me a list of items that you can get from paying to Apple/Netflix etc every month--that can not be got on the internet for free, but you would prefer not to show anyone that list, because you think I am not sincere ........yer.......I think I understand.
-
Nothing is bigger then the Internet phetphet, it may be some years that you have used that option, it really has improved. Its just no hassle at all. I like sport-but living in Thailand I can't watch most of it live, so just waking up the next day taking just the football or boxing I want, I looked at other options i.e Box/Kodi etc, to me it was a no brainer. I think the 1990s was the golden era for movies---I re-watched Reservoir Dogs last night, 29 years old--no problem getting it.

Just curious- what can you get on Netflix with buffing & payment etc , that you can not get an hour or so after it has come out for free on the internet?

Israel would have been better protection -her fathers body went straight there. The PM gave him the next best thing to a state funeral,--but no he wasn't an agent for us. ====== Shortly before he died, a former Mossad officer named Ari Ben-Menashe had approached a number of news organisations in Britain and the United States with the allegation that Maxwell was a long-time agent for the Israeli intelligence service. Menashe also claimed that, in 1986, Maxwell tipped off the Israeli embassy in London that Mordechai Vanunu, the nuclear scientist later jailed for 18 years in Israel, had given information about Israel's nuclear capability to The Sunday Times, then to the Daily Mirror. Maxwell was accorded the next-best thing to a state funeral, in Israel with their President, Chaim Herzog, intoning over his corpse as it lay in the Hall of the Nation: " No report from the autopsy in Israel has been released. -

oxo1947 replied to rott's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
What is it you are looking for rott -- is it more value for money....(because thats easy--to point to) ...or is it another night scene like Pattaya, I think only BKK areas can match that. -
Yer its a 2 story home---so basically run pipes upstairs for toilets shows etc downstairs the same with sinks outside taps etc..... If its the only answer--then yer that will be it.

I know people want to be helpful with ideas, but yes it is definitely a leak under the concrete. All the checks have been done, water tank/toilets/capping off etc . First by me then 2 separate (Plumbers ?? ) Chaings . 2 story house everything under concrete -not an inch of dirt. I have been through different threads on numerous sites for ideas. On this site Andrew Dwyer’s thread was useful and I contacted Andrew who was very helpful with photos etc. In the end he took the option of re-piping his house, he made a good job of it by boxing the pipes in. Before I take that step, just 2 things if anyone can shed some light on them. 1/ Liquid filler, I don’t know if it works as well as they show on YouTube -but there doesn’t seem to be anything like it in Thailand. I have tried to contact a few overseas company’s but at the moment I am stuck between Easter & Songarn . I will try to DHL some of it over—just finding the nearest country to access it from. If it does work, Homepro or someone should start importing it. I know on the new Hybrid cars, the battery is so large on some, that they do not have room for a spare tire—so they give you a large aerosol can that seals the air leak. You would think that if they could stop air coming out, they could stop water—but what do I know -nofing-- 2/ A technician with the equipment for detecting leaks, I can find lots of them for commercial problems, but they do not want to deal with homes. I don’t care if they’re in BKK (I am in Issan) I would fly them up put them in a hotel. So frustrating, hunting around for one, Google even directed me to Malaysia, Big advert there- “We have the best equipment, if you have a house leak under Wood/Concrete/ Tiles, If we cannot find it–We won’t charge you. There—another Business if someone wants to start one. I looked at different equipment—what they have here is quite low Tec…. The one at Lazada / same as what Amazon sells doesn’t have great write ups. Risk of coming back to Thailand when divorcing
oxo1947 replied to Lolothai's topic in Marriage and Divorce
That one line tells me that--For sure she is going to know you are here. I am sure there are ways to get that money transferred across. Even if you had to pay a lawyer. 9,000 Euro's your going to spend most of that on your holiday/air/hotels. You just want to come back to Thailand. -

There are 2 new drama series out on UK TV (both seem lightweight) and one added series . New . Harry Wild 9 episodes, A recently retired English professor discovers a real knack for investigation and cannot help but interfere with the cases assigned to her police detective son. Deadline 4 episodes with a Hugh 4.6 IMDB rating . James Alden is a washed-up investigative journalist making trashy documentaries when he lands the interview of the decade with Natalie Varga, who is suspected of murdering her rich Hungarian husband. She tells him that if he finds the killer, she'll give him the exclusive everyone wants. The Split-Season-3 6 episodes, this has Nicola Walker as lead, (Unforgotten etc) 7.7 IMDB The Defoes, a family of female divorce lawyers, are forced to face their past following the return of their estranged father after a 30 year absence. -

Bar owners are finding it hard to recruit Thai girls
oxo1947 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
They can do both, and many I know are. This time of the year was always bad, They want to go home for Songran & then there is the rice to plant. Years ago, if you wanted the girl to stay with you this time of year, then you would pay an extra 100--150 Baht a day for the family to buy labor. The biggest recruiters of girls, are the girls. They would reach out to old school friends etc who's husband has left her with a child or 2. & the bar owner usually paid a bonus for bringing in a new girl. -
You seem to be well on your way to getting your answer georgegeorgia , seems none of the guys are at fault.......... And that may well be true. 22 years together, we decided to start a highly stressful business in Australia. The Rag Trade. Living together/working together/stressing over the same things together. After 5 years we couldn't stand the sight of each other. As the business got better the relationship got worse. Working together, It seems to work out for some folk-for us it didn't.

No positive Thailand stories on here and expat mental health
oxo1947 replied to whereyougo's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Its should not be a problem -whereyougo- I have lived here over 26 years, done most of Asia before settled here. I do recognize that many of the places i visited are now better then before. (Pol Pot isn't around for 1) Also like most, I recognize that although they have improved, Thailand does not have enough negatives to make me want to leave and start again. Along with everyone I know here, we are all of much the same opinion, that life at this age really couldn't be much better. -
There seems to be some confusion here --on a "Living Will" and an ordinary Will. Living Will. Plan ahead and get the medical care you want at the end of life. Living wills and other advance directives are written, legal instructions regarding your preferences for medical care if you are unable to make decisions for yourself. Advance directives guide choices for doctors and caregivers if you're terminally ill, seriously injured, in a coma, in the late stages of dementia or near the end of life. Thai Living Will Instructions ----Its in Thai--You will need to get interp, Good luck with everything https://www.thailivingwill.in.th/

What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2022)
oxo1947 replied to CharlieH's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Such a pity, rated that guy as a top actor, although I have not seen him act in much since the Kurt Wallander series. On the other end of the scale , I watched The Jackass movie, it was so stupid that I had to laugh at some scenes. I wonder if their insured. I wouldn't pay to go see it, but that made 23 Million on opening week-end and the other "Trendy type movies" that came out same time like"Licorice Pizza" etc failed to even make 1 million but got nominated for an Oscar. I know which one I would rather have had shares in. . **"Licorice Pizza" It made $142,000 on its first day, $105,000 on its second, and $89,000 on its third for a $335,000 opening weekend and an average of $83,800 per screen. Jackass Forever opened in first place at the domestic box office this weekend, amassing $23.5 million, according to Variety. -

Bit confused---they show it free to air TV.....but its in Thai, so what is it you are paying for ?....just English language. **FYI--when I say free to air I mean home cable which is about 10 baht a day in Issan....... How much is cable TV in Thailand? Cable TV. is available in most tourist places. It's usually cheap (about 350 to 450,- Baht per month but you have to check the channel list first-- https://www.living-in-thailand.com › -
Your post is not so clear "Love u long time"---Are you talking about these properties being in Thailand ?..if so the last thing you would want her to do is go back to Thailand, alone.
