Because you are not a taxi driver!!
How do you know he's not a taxi driver. He might just be too old and ugly. We can't all be good looking.

Or Thai Watch Appreciation Team.
I like that. I'm just annoyed I didn't think of it myself.

What's that outfit he is wearing? Looks like he is advertising Aeriel Washing powder.
Maybe it's a Thai Watch Appreciation Society shirt

Just yesterday I saw a man driving a bike with his helmet on, and a child on the front and back without them….. couldn’t have been older than 5.
Are they really that thick?
Mark.
I used to have a picture of a policeman wearing a helmet on a bike. He had 2 children without helmets with him.

Sadly I don't think the People's Party will sweep the board, at least not with the older generation.
The recent calls for patriotism will surely benefit Bhumjaithai, who could gain more seats in the next election.
I hope you're wrong but I don't think you are. The People's Party may struggle without young charismatic leadership.

Sounds a great idea but I'm sure the push to attract higher value had been reported several times before. Anyway, as I said its a terrific plan and I think it should be tried elsewhere. Hotels should add at least 50% to their prices to ensure they only get the higher class of guests. Street vendors could double their prices so they get classier customers. Bars could draw in superior drunks by using the same methods. Imagine how wonderfully uplifting the roads of Thailand could be with all the high net worth drivers of quadruple priced 2, 3 and 4 wheel automotive products.
I really don't know why businesses haven't thought of this themselves. At least now the government has given them this fantastic idea.
Yes I am being sarcastic, or at least I think I am

Is that a military uniform he is wearing? I thought he is a politician, not a soldier. Is he suddenly planning to lead from the front? Or photo op?
I think that's a normal government uniform. The government departments are organised in a fairly militaristic way.

What's her golf like? Not very good, that'll do nicely.

or steal a few of your girlfriend or your wifes shower cap, it's not rocket science.
That'll be more dangerous than riding without a helmet

Absolutely correct, but you omitted the fact that there is usually a traffic cop on duty waving these helmetless kids into the school.
Start the education right there; impound the bike for the day and put the students into detention.
A few years ago I spoke with a policeman in HCMC (where there is 99% compliance), he said it took a few years of consistent punishment but eventually they conformed. He also mentioned that they hadn't yet managed to stop them riding on the pavements!
Food delivery drivers seem to wear helmets, so there must be a way to persuade them.

I've looked for a sympathetic post, but in vain. He doesn't seem very popular.
He would have been better holding a handrail on one side with someone on the other.
Those steps look OK but Thais seem to be not that good at steps. That's sometimes because they lean towards lucky numbers of steps rather than practicality.

He could have been out by now if it had been quicker

Really.. My friend owns some condos in Pattaya. He used a lawyer and the developer to appoint a Thai nominee to a fake company so he could purchase those condos that needed Thai ownership to buy cheaper. The company has not made a single baht or operated since its conception. Do you think if the Sh--t hits the fan that they will be going after the lawyer or the developer? Heck no! My friend never knew about these rules and was convinced by the developer that everything he did to acquire the condos was legal. His lawyer has been asked several times about these news reports and swears nothing is done illegally. All lies of course and i have warned him about it as well. But he insists to believe the Thais. I am just waiting the day he comes back to Thailand and asks my help to bail him out of jail.. Some people either do not care about the laws or trust what the Thais are telling them.

I'd get something in writing in answer to the question of legality from the lawyer if I were him.

I'm very confused about all this. When this first came up, either last year, or maybe the year before, it was claimed it wasn't anything new just existing regulations being applied where they weren't before. I think they were rules from the 1970s, although I may well be wrong. How is it that they still haven't sorted them out yet?
Also if you send money over, how do they know which year you earned it?

And also to ask how many died from/with the regular flu in that time. Funny that they don't mention that...
It's down to what's newsworthy. If someone well known died of Covid it would be in the news, if it was me, then probably not. Covid has attention but flu doesn't, unless the numbers are really high.
This is borne out by the fact that all the posts I've read so far mention the number of deaths but ignore the part of the headline that says cases are surging. The number of cases or deaths is less important than the change in numbers. If cases are increasing substantially, then the reasons need to be determined. It could be that Covid isn't seen as important now and vaccination rates have fallen. I've not heard of any large increase in the UK.

This has nothing to do with the case of misuse of public funds by which I mean supporting a fit and healthy person in a government hospital when that person should be spending time in prison.
The MP, Democrat MP Charnchai Issarasena, represents his constituency which most certainly is the injured party. It is, after all, public money which was misspent keeping Thaksin in the relative luxury of the police hospital.
The justice system is rigged to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the elite so we can expect nothing from this enquiry.
Didn't Thaksin pay his own hospital expenses? Probably to avoid problems around misuse of public funds. That doesn't alter the fact that his hospital stay w very suspicious.

There is no legitimate reason why she or her brother should ever be allowed back in Thailand.
They are both Thai citizens so there isn't, and never had been, anything stopping then from coming back.

I actually saw a YouTube video a few days ago that showed different things that show how healthy you are and if you're likely to live much past 70. One of the things they mentioned was balance. I'm 71 and have real trouble balancing on one leg, but that's down to an operation on my left ear years ago that took away my hearing and the balance mechanism in that ear.
