  1. um no offence but I think your dreaming....but maybe sell on foriegn websites and a Farang might pay. But as a previous post advised Pattaya has an over supply of condos....maybe if central you might setup as a holiday condo and get say2000bht a day in high season...again put on overseas websites like trip advisor etc

I would be interested in names of foreign websites for selling properties in Thailand please.

  2. No offense intended, but this is yet another classic case which proves the saying, " Most foreigners leave their brains at the airport" !

Just so some people can take advantage of them.

I have a lovely tower for sale, cheap for very quick sale, located in center of PARIS. Only 500,000 Baht for very quick sale. Tremendous tourist potential GUARANTEED !!

With the sound of Prayer calling, riots every month, burnt out cars, murders on a daily basis, terrorist attacks 2 or 3 times a year and on the increase, I wouldnt give you 50 Baht for it.

Hehe. Are you talking about MY tower or HIS condo ?

  3. We have three dragon fruit plants. For seven years, we have had 15/20 fruits from them. But this year, we have three crops. 29 fruits last month, now another 12 and there are over 100 new fruits starting now !!!!!

  5. Here are some reasons the Koi maybe jumping out of the pond.

    1} Parasite infection, Flukes,Lice,

2} Spawning activity ,the males chasing the females.

3] something is frightening them,in panic they jump out, I have had Lge heron or egret at my pond.

    4} not enough aeration.

How far is the water from the top of the pond?, what kind of pond is it? How big are the Koi ?

    regards Worgeordie

    Thank you,

It is concrete 4mts X 4mts, 80 cm deep.Lost fish 2 yrs old approx. 15cm. nearly full with all the rain. No parasites, oxygen ok. I think it is mating season.

  6. Three times this week, we have gone to feed the fish and there has been one on the floor by the pond.

Two dead but we managed to save the third. There have been fish in this large pond for years

and we have not seen this before. Any ideas ??

    Thanks

  7. Ok 10 day trial is up

Faraday supplied 6 trades of which 5 were winners netting exactly 300 Pips. One hit stop loss of 60

Pretty impressive. Guess the only way to evaluate if £500 is well spent for a year is to buy a membership

That is interesting. My 10 days was also up on Friday. I had 6 trades and 3 hit stop loss. Maybe they sent us different trades. Do you still know yours ? It would be interesting to compare. My last one, on Friday, was sell NZD/USD. It was a big winner. Did they phone you a few times ?

  8. Purely by coincidence I do. Last week signed up for their 10 day trial. Galven have been sending me emails for an age reference it.

They only have sent two alerts since joining (I consider that a good thing) both 70 Pip Winners.

I hadn't traded in either was more of an exercise into how they got on. I think the yearly package is £500 Plus Vat

Quoting my self they added a third with a profit level of 50 Points.

8 minutes ago this one came through.......Buy USD/JPY at 123.95 with a stop loss at 123.35........this was 8 minutes ago 14,15 BST

    Edited.....up 21 now 3 minutes after I posted

But, if I am correct, it ended up going down through the stop loss ?

  9. yes, spend a bit extra an get a seat near the front of the plane as 75% of those on it will be lining up to get the voa :-)

    Dont forget a photo

If you do forget the photo, don't worry. They just say, 'no photo, no problem, one dollar'!

Often the immigration officer asks for a 'tip'. any currency will do !!

  10. Seeing some positive posts on HT Property, I sent them an email> very pleasant surprise, they replied quickly making appointment to view my property. Arrived on time. Asked me to send some photos !! and copies of deeds. I sent these the next day. No confirmation of receipt was received ! Since then, I have sent five emails and two messages on their site. NO REPLIES, so I guess the negative posts on here are correct !!!

HT properties have a very good website and the husband and wife team are very decent people. They sold us our first house and they really made sure we got a good deal.

My wife and I liked them so much we invited them to our wedding. They even gave us a very nice present which definitely wasn't expected.

Their office isn't far from Pantip Plaza near the Night Bazaar.

same broker gave me the fingers up

around 2001 i paid a visit to their office, and they showed me a few condos in the area, they were very nice at that

subsequently when i put my ranch at mae rim, up for sale early 2013, i contacted them through email, and gave them a full brief on our property, but got no reply at all

around a year later when doing another broker exercise, i threw the same net out to them, and supplied them with number of photos plus my website to boot

you guessed it again no reply, the fingers up response is fine by me,as they probably feel it was too hard of a sell, but if this is the case, if they had a good professional attitude, they could have replied to my enquirys, and told me so (a few did)

    during my 2yrs and 3 months, i contacted 41 brokers in c/mai

3 stand out by a country mile,.... simon of perfect homes, this pommy, is a straight shooter, lays all the cards on the table, and if he gets a sniff on a potential deal, he got the professional nous to close off the deal

the other two, are a elite propertys and my c/mai house, meechok plaza , oh forgot our local girl, maerim real estate, she is prepared to put the miles in for you

and those 4 mentioned, have always answered any emails,or cell calls, and promptly i might add, all the above is just my personal experiences

a very nice morning to allsmile.png

  11. I thought foreigners (apart from ASEAN) were not allowed to run tourist businesses here. So an investor will not give money even for a perfect plan unless you have a minority non controlling stake in which case you don't control your own money when they team up against you. I even saw the latter happen to a friend in UK. International business or in an approved sector does work for some people though.

I have already owned a business in Thailand. It is easy to keep yourself safe. 49% shareholding and the rest in nominees with pre-signed resignation and transfer documents.

"nominees with pre-signed resignation and transfer documents."

Since when have these 'undated' documents become legal? I think you will find there are many people/'companies' have come to grief with this type of company setup in the not too distant past.

I cannot see anyone going into a business deal at the level you are talking about with the type of comments you are making.

I like to be positive with posters but I find it difficult to believe that this is anything but a troll post!

You may remember that many years ago, British Supermarket chain Tesco wanted to expand into Thailand. Because of the rules, they could not. The way they got round it was to take a 49% share of Lotus Supermarkets and tie it up in a way that gave them control !!

  12. It would surely help if both Farangdanny and Eyecatcher would let us know what currency they are talking about - there's a very big difference between THB500,00 - a modest sum - and US$500,000, similarly with Farangdanny's 12 million - what? Bengali Taka?

When talking about raising money in Thailand and investing in Chiang mai, it is safe to assume that the currency in question is thai Baht.

When discussing business one deals in facts, not assumptions if you want helpful and meaningful advice. When discussions regarding finance are taking place on an 'international' forum such as this it is often the mighty US$ which is used as the common denominator.

Clarity not assumptions are essential in this regard. I raised some points in an earlier post which I feel may be even more relevant now, if, as you say you, you have owned a business here in Thailand before. What happened to that business that now makes you need to start another one?

I received a good offer, so I sold it.

  15. Yes, you need a business plan first. No one will take you seriously if you can't manage that first step.

I have the business plan, just need to find out how to raise the money. Banks don't want to know a foreigner !

How much of your own money will you be investing in this great idea ?

    regards Worgeordie

I have around 12 million available
