was there just after the wall fell, wasn't expecting anything much when i walked into the room, but the stuff was mindblowing beautiful and the craftsmanship exquisite. Hope they get it back, but does sound like a targeted hit. The Mogul court and the life size wooden carving of an angel killing a devil were amongst my favourites.

the only time i had lost luggage was visiting my Dad in rural Tasmania (read, middle of bl-oody nowhere!). I had to borrow some of his underpants for several days til they found my luggage in Melbourne. No son should have to endure that! Taught me a lesson, now in my carry-on I carry a spare shirt, socks and a couple of underdaks.
Might have to go back on my meds to stop the nightmares again. ????

not sure what you mean by the spark plug is gone, as there is one in the photo. Unless you mean it wasn't working, then that would be an ignition problem.
Maybe the thread for the plug was stripped but that wouldn't usually need a head removal, just a helicoil. All the water jacket holes look in great condition, as does the head. As Kawasaki said above, it may have warped due to bad tensioning of the head bolts but usually you have to machine the face of an alloy head any time it is removed. Also as he also said 2 of those plugs do look weird but could just be the photo. If a plug was too long it would be hitting the piston, so not really a head problem then.
What i don't understand is why they have taken the valves out, you'd usually only do that if there is a problem with a valve, valve seat or valve guide.

Agree, i've had to do that a couple of times but usually they use big lumps of concrete or stone to hold down the plastic. Saw a small one lane concrete road the other day in a village near Sisaket where they had covered the whole road and chopped a tree down to block entrance from the main road!

sounds all great, until someone hacks the system. Imagine driverless cars being hacked and all the traffic lights in the smart city are turned to green. While i am not a Luddite, maybe i am just a sceptical old man!

interesting tie-in with Phuket and the founders of Penang and Adelaide.
Francis Light serving the East India Company spent 10 years based in Thalang (Phuket) from about 1765. He married a local of Portuguese origin, they had a son William who eventually surveyed what became Adelaide. Francis helped thwart a Burmese attack on Phuket and was even nominated for governor which King Rama 2 opposed. He eventually founded Penang. In 1776-77 he even supplied arms to Taksin the Great in the Kingdom of Thonburi.
William also had an interesting career (considering he was Eurasian) before Adelaide and served under the Duke of Wellington.

Anyway, cats are much more fun. Dogs are like owning a Merc or Jag sedan while having a cat is like owning a Ferrari; you never know when it is going to break down or go wild on you!

I know. I squealed like a pig over the $5. My retirement is finished.
Yeah, It is a nice compound area; simple but not spectacular but gives a nice feel of what most prasats would've looked like. Most importantly they have hammocks at the reservoir where the food is.
i said don't get me started on the fees. ????
