The most interesting is that this does not apply to the average farang company set up solely to own property.
Of course not - silly . It is just a recent move for the wealthy Elite to transfer vast tracts of land to a company hence no longer owning that asset ( in theory but of course shareholders could vote later). Thus the land, irrespective of whether acquired legally or with funny money, can not be taxed on the transaction and additional the asset is held by others. i.e can not be seized from the individual for whatever reason. Amassing how the Junta is changing numerous laws to look after its own.

For the large tour buses, yeah they should have drop-off zones close to the hotels and have people walk to extra 500m or so to their hotel.

Of course and then they could also take a tip from a Japanese Airline and let a disabled tourist crawl the 500 mtrs to their hotel . You on drugs or something else hallucinogenic ?

How clueless are these guys?
All they would do is split the Democrat vote by syphoning off the extremists.
Wherever Thaksin is, he is praying Prayuth runs just as fervently as Abhisit is praying he doesn't.
I for one hope he runs - I would love to know what Thais truly think of Prayuth, the Junta and their efforts.
What would a thorough drubbing at the polls of a military party led by Prayuth mean for the viability of a Strategic Council packed full of unwanted military men?
Absolutely mean nothing to them. they will just pick up their guns again, get in their tanks and declare it all invalid and intimidate the population even longer with further restrictions on media reporting. Peaceful demonstrations in Thailand won't work either as witnessed many times in the past that peaceful protest end up with people killed.
Only one way to kill a snake and that is cut its head off.

The Thai PM's idol. What the Hue Sen dictatorship decrees for Cambodia the Junta will surely try and follow in Thailand

This Thai Police officer is new..still brave, honest and did a good job!!....just hope for him that the very, very, very rare and few corrupt officers of the force do not spoil such policing talent and do not make him corrupt or lazy...The Police need more boys like this one!
Full congrats and respect to the young officer for the risks and for doing a good job.
Wish him a long, successful, safe and honest career!!
If he remains honest he will never have much of a career in the RTP

Thanks very much whatawondefulday, your post crossed my last one.
But please alleged defamation, only alleged.
I certainly think and hope that you are correct.
No Thai persons were involved............ Basically only Indian cowboys who object to my opinions on their failings on project engineering and management (including safety related issues) being exposed to Bangladeshi authorities - Actually my duty under Indian and Bangladeshi law.
Also I think under British Law. I forget what the CDMR has to say about the duties and responsibilities of British Companies working abroad, but I seem to remember that either that Reg. or another one says that British companies are legally responsible in the UK for ensuring the safety of staff and public on projects undertaken abroad.
Well as an ex Project Director I can understand perhaps the issues you had in ensuring compliance to the principles of Project Management and Engineering when dealing with Indians etc. They can be sound as a pound, as many I worked with were, but unfortunately they have an inherent believe that they always know better which takes a great deal of management expertise to ensure that they carry out their projects in an appropriate manner.

Have you any idea how much the US made Germany 'pay' for those 'investments'? Germany have only recently just finished paying the WW2 reparations bill. Do they teach real history at school anymore? Or is it fake history?
And do you understand how much debt other countries got into borrowing money for the war effort in order to protect the world's freedoms, US included, , just because the US as usual decided not to enter the conflict for 2 years, instead preferred to bleed their so called allies to death financially

Beats me why you animal activists don't invest your time and energy in defending the natural world, which is in severe danger, rather than pets, which are little more than genetically-engineered slaves or toys. That would be my priority.
You've obviously never been out in a public place and had a dog hurtle towards you from a distance for no reason and sink its teeth into your leg. If you'd had my experience you would have a different opinion of dogs.
Don't forget, dogooders never do good to anybody other than themselves

Try paying extortion demands using a card. Now there's a thought!
What about introducing a Corruption Card for the "shadow economy".
No problem the Thai mafia, ala RTP will now take there money from you by giving them a VISA card. You will be debited 200,500 or 1000 baht depending upon the extortion amount for you then to be on your way again. Problem will be, when you have finished your journey or much later, you will find that your card has been skimmed by the state supported mafia and have charged to it all manner of things in the police region where you got stopped. After all you can not claim you were not at that location when the card was debited as the police have a copy of the "fine" report they gave you initially. Certainly going down this route the Junta will open up a whole new business stream for the RTP.

Well I am sure he will find a way to ensure the corrupt Elite, who supports the Junta, can continue to use illegal workers at a fraction of the legal minimum wage to make massive profits for themselves on Junta awarded major projects.
-
This proves my point exactly from another post that Thailand has been exploiting migrant workers. The report admits that they were working illegally for Thai companies. If the Thai companies wanted to pay the legal minimum wage, ensure their employees were covered medically then they could have done so , but no exploited them through and through. No wonder Thailand is on Tier 2.

The alleged defamation occurred Bangladesh; with threats of being sued and jailed in India, Bangladesh & Thailand - all 3 at once apparently!
All pretty nonsensical really, but would be interested in the facts re Thailand.
I should add that the company threatening to sue me is a British owned International company with a subsidiary in India doing work in Bangladesh. The threat came from a company lawyer in Dubai!
I can't wait to expose them in court, but I have no doubt the "glass houses principal" will work its way into their thick heads in the very near future and nothing will happen except they have now annoyed me and .......
In that case the Thai judiciary will only consider a case of defamation if that defamation occurred in Thailand and/or was a Thai company or citizen you were defaming elsewhere

What are you talking about ? you seem to have a frazzled mindset. Whilst I don't agree with having sex with animals I also think it abhorrent to have sex with the same sex for the same reason but hey whatever floats your boat and so long as the dog was happy , so what ?

These 'Christian' groups are a disgrace to the country... eroding the Thai culture, traditions and destroying Buddhism and Animistic beliefs..
These groups are insidious. They prey of weak minded and stupid people to part with their money, give up their values and culture, and often split up families and friendships. They are sneaky and clever at how they go about converting people.
They are just money making operations... you will see the owners and 'preachers' having big houses, cars and money to burn on expensive clothes and fancy meals... while they keep taking money off poor and vulnerable people. These kind of groups are hot beds for child molestation and sexual abuse also.
Don't support anything to do with them!
Agreed and there are one or two who fall into that category obviously responded to this string

Poor girl, having a disgusting piece of excrement for a mother.
How could any mother subject her own flesh and blood to such disgusting acts.
Again it is somebody in government involved, what is it with these disgusting pieces of scum, that they get p[leasure from raping young kids?
Reading this post makes me want to vomit.
Unfortunately in Thailand it happens all to often.
