I suspect this arrest falls under martial law that is not subjected to the norms of the Thailand judicial system.

Regardless of whether this person an insurgency operarive or not, it seems the military is sending the message that it will pursue and arrest insurgency leaders. This would be an interesting policy when allegedly the military is trying to promote peace talks with the insurgency with resolution planned before the end of 2015.
