  1. How good do they work together , the grid tie unit and the hybrid ? Does the hybrid charge the battery 1st ( is that a standard way hybrids work , when charging the battery before putting out 220V ) ?
  2. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/cod-100m-ultrasonic-level-sensor-i2641863295-s9491023510.html?spm=a2o4m.searchlist.list.60.38d678980WyhDK&search=1&freeshipping=1 or https://www.lazada.co.th/products/ultrasonic-liquid-lcd-i2074928020-s6786550070.html?spm=a2o4m.searchlist.list.114.38d678980WyhDK&search=1&freeshipping=1 It's as close as you can get for real measurement types like the industrial Rosemounts , which does cost a multitude more ( but are far better ) .
  3. In fact for most viral diseases there is very little to no medication around which does work . Some people think of all diseases the same , take medication , finished . For bacteria , fungus , worms and other living things , many times this is correct . A virus however is different since it isn't a living thing , it lives in our cells . In order to get rid of it is very difficult , some medication has been found to slow down virus , but so far only vaccination has been proven successful . That is because it learns the body to recognize the infected cells and kill them .
  4. It still works although not as good . If you can be in a motorbike crash with no helmet , with a bicycle helmet or motorcycle helmet which by now is not available , which 1 would you choose ? The bicycle helmet still works , might not be optimum protection , but it is much better then the no helmet choice . There are plenty more variants around , and specialists are learning from it every single day , so they can adapt on it as soon as possible . Imagine it being a flu vaccine , which does have multiple strains of virus inside , to hopefully have the correct 1 inside it . Prob something like that is going to be there in the near future . They are also still learning how long the vaccines work , but i expect to need a boostershot after 1y , which isn't any issue . Patients with immune problems getting it faster , which is logic . All will show soon enough .
  5. I do not live there , but i do know what you mean . Yes the Train market will be gone for good , like many other places . Many things will return , some will be gone for good but will be replaced by others , until the old version just would be only a memory . Covid did speed up a lot of things , but the rule in general stays . Do not be a doom and gloom person . Business come and go , as long as the demand is there that's what always been happening all around the world . Some things will remain in people's memories as they liked it and it is gone for good , but that is always the case . I also remember many things from 1st times in Thailand , things which are gone and do not come back , but it's called change , some for the good , some for the bad . Some business will open tomorrow when possible , others will take longer but will open also as soon as possible ( places which do require more planning ahead ) .
  6. Business open and close all the time . You are thinking right now . Yes right now the situation is difficult , as we seen in many places around the world . Many places had bar/restaurant/music venues closures for many months . It will open again , and if some will will no longer open , then that will be the case . As soon as demand is there , for tourists and for locals , then more business will open . It might be a different spot , different name , but as long as the demand is there , there will be business opening .
  7. I do know what you mean . You do find various different info on several "official" websites . You would assume that somebody in TAT must be smart enough to put complete packages together all included , you provide the info if you are vaccinated or not and give you complete packages all included until you are fine out of quarantine .
  8. Many countries don't look at that right now , but they do not have the 70% vaccination rate , so that question isn't answered . However if you look at the panic across the room about "we opening , we opening " then you can see a different view happening already . You can't keep the virus out , it will get there , it is too far spread across the world . What can be stopped is hospitals getting full and many deaths . Unless they want to go to a N Korea , all the countries will get there at 1 point .
  9. I find it strange when people are rejecting vaccine but aiming at a animal medicine instead . Yes it is used in special cases on humans but it is not at all tested for covid on humans . Can that change , yes sure , but so far it hasn't . ...butbutbut it has shown to stop covid in cell cultures in labs .... sure , so does bleach , alcohol and various other substances .
  10. Well that is all a big unknown . You might be right , so far the amount of breakthrough infections are still low ( meaning vaccinated people who do get sick ) , how long this will last is unknown . Can only hope that those who did get infected in the meanwhile build up more immunity , so the waves can become smaller ( and less dangerous ) . I am guessing we need a booster shot again after 1y of 1st vaccination . You can't however the situation now simply compare last y to this year , as much more is back to normal lvl's . This wasn't at all the case last y .
  11. There is a large difference in UK vs Thai numbers . Before UK had a multiple times more deaths /day vs now . Once you are vaccinated ( and most who end up in hospital very sick or death aren't vaccinated ) , it merely becomes a infected number , being nothing more . Hospitals can follow the flow of patients , so no problem . In Thailand with less testing , lot less vaccination , any infected number means a risk . Risk for hospital admissions , risk for others which are prob not vaccinated also , risk of overflowing hospitals , and many times more deaths. In all of Europe numbers aren't very good , but thx to vaccinations , hospitals can cope with the flow .
  12. I am willing to come , but they have to make a plan and a exact date and the requirements . Under kind of sandbox scheme , where i am able to go outside my room , i am willing to take the hurdles involved . Since it can take upto 20 days for a COE to come in , and im not booking any flight before i know it is happening .
  13. Well , i guess you want to put a fake certificate . I am fully vaccinated with Pfizer and i can tell you this ... .I.. . get the vaccine and learnt o live with it . Oh yes , another tip is that the name Pfizer is not on my certificate .
  14. True , but they far from alone in this case ( not the covax program , but the general covid programs ) . Anybody with a single braincel does know that this is soo widespread that basic testing solves nothing , we are all going to get it . So , everybody should get a vaccine ( mandatory imho ), so that the hospitals do not get overrun ( the big problem with covid ) and try to follow up on the spread/mutations . As long as hospital beds are being filled with covid patients , we are in high rules country ( not only Thailand ) .
  15. And then we get the problem i mentioned . I always do also , and if i come i will do again , as fast as possible . It was always possible when in airport , buying max packages from 1 of the providers ( i had a few , but last few times was AIS ) . Now , it isnt possible , since you can't get there . It is not that i do not want to follow the rules , they only make them not easy . Are there ways around it , sure , but the phone is only 1 of the extra hurdles , and every hurdle will send more and more people away ( or rather not come) . Same like , Phuket sandbox , ok i can agree on it , , start checking things out , transfer from BKK not possible , have to be direct inbound flight ... Samui possible but with max time in BKK 4h , checking with my regular airline its 5h , so not possible .... Again there are solutions for all things, but they are far from easy to figure it all out .
  16. Euhm , maybe your phone provider gives you good amount of roaming data . Mine is 10 euro / MB , opening your phone data another country makes your phone check all straight away which does cost a few MB . I once made that mistake in Abu Dhabi , sending me before even doing anything a bill of between 50-100 euro . Im guessing a tracking app , will also give me a few data packages to send , so im guessing about the same amount ... without actually using my phone , 75 euro at present rate is 3000 baht . Im not moaning about the few 1000 baht , im moaning about a few 1000 baht before i even done anything at all , and counting extra for every second ( since it is a tracking app ) .
  17. I do have a smartphone , but i do know 1 person my age who doesn't have 1 and i do know that my parents don't have 1 also and absolutely cannot work with anything remotely more then the numbers on a standard phone ( even reading a received SMS is not possible ) . But on the point , what do you do with your smartphone without connection ? Meaning , arriving at airport , foreign card in it , costs are very very high ( 100s of baht/MB ) so if you come off the airplane and you startup your phone it checks everything and bang , you are down several 1000s of baht on your foreign phonecard . Not very attractive ... . In the "normal" days , i arrived at airport and at arrival i did buy a high volume Thai phonecard , so i could use ( call/data) without a problem . Does this option still exist , since it is behind immigration , and if i need to go straight away in transfer , i cant reach those shops ?
  18. If you need a yearly booster shot , i wouldn't mind at all . Also , the vaccines will be slightly altered since they are working on it , since with all the billions of vaccines given and seen how they work they can fine tune them to work longer or have better results .
  19. Some rules yes , others are just a another reason , nothing to do with covid . COE needed with full plan of what and where you stay ... what has that got to do with covid , since you did spend 2 weeks in quarantine ( this i can understand ), including several tests . After this period , why should they care or need to know ? I was looking again today to see if it is possible for me to come in October and every time i bounce back on 1 or another rule . I am fully vaccinated with Pfizer , even willing to spend 2 weeks inside room . For "sandbox" i need to install a app , but since data with my native phonecard would be crazy expensive i would need a Thai phonecard , which i cannot buy in 1st second ( used to do on arrival hall , which is behind immigration) . In standard ASQ i do not need the app since im in the room for 2 weeks , but they need to know a complete travel plan for after the 2 weeks , fully booked or on invitation with all needed papers . I want to come , i can agree on some rules , like the 2 week thing ,and the tests , including the insurance , but all the rest is just control and nothing to do with covid .
  20. Many many more and all are documented . The ones given special names are on "watchlist" , and got the potential to be "variants of interest" or "variants of concern" . It means that a they got enough reason to be classified as special due to reasons of evading vaccination or higher transfer rate or higher risk or are different enough to grow into something more . Virus mutates constantly , and covid is not any different from that . It is not particular very mutating , which for example Flu is , but neither is it standing still .
  21. Any mouthwash , like Listerine kills them in your mouth . This has been said already long time ago . It doesn't do anything else , since it is in the saliva , and you make new saliva every second . It cuts down on transmission rate for a while ( minutes , not hours ) , and doesn't at all prevent you from being sick/infected . The virus enters and is inside your body . Kill them in your mouth is good for prevent spreading for a short while but doesn't do anything else .
  22. The only difference is staying quarantine on a island vs quarantine inside room . It gives more legroom , but that is the difference . The sandbox will never be a success , that is a fact . Do people want to travel , sure . As long as the list of requirements are easy to get by ( a no for Thailand ) , and local infection numbers are low also ( another no for Thailand ) and last but not least , have something to do back there ( and again a no for Thailand ) . Why would anybody without business/family/relative come there right now , i really can't see it ...
  23. Something i have found on another website about Sorotec Revo inverters ( they are sold in Thailand also ) . They also make some noise , but somebody added changing his original fans by 12cm Be Quiet computer fans with a duct entrance , making his unit whisper quiet , and using less power then the original fans . Noctua and Be Quiet fans are available in Thailand for around 600-900 baht a piece . Since warranty is not really happening in Thailand it might be a very good solution to a known problem of most if not all ventilator inverters ( like the Must units ) .
