The sad fact is the only place to take this course is Bangkok and it is being run by some Mickey Mouse university from the Phillipines who's organisation makes the Thai's look proficient. A teacher friend of mine attended and was gobsmacked by the ineptitude of the people running it . When he complained he was told that he did not have to attend any further lectures and would get a pass. So this much vaunted teacher licence is worth about as much as a sheet of bog paper.

Its about time that we Europeans recognise the threat caused by Islamic extremist AND American Christain extremists. In fact it is my belief that any organized religion that promotes any kind of violence or tolerates its members commiting these acts should be banned.
The west is at fault for allowing Saudi Arabia to export its rather warped take on Islam in exchange for oil. If this is not the case why did we attack Afghanistan and not Saudi Arabia where most of those involved the the twin towers attack were actually from ?

My understanding is that any non imm is enough along with a letter from Immigration.

Having friends that are both Hi and low Soc I think that Thai soaps are written for Thais by Thais so let them get on with it. What really annoys me is the P**s poor way that they dub Farang movies into Thai and forget watching and documentry thats been dubbed into Thai. ( yes and before anyone comments I speak Fluent Thai after being here 27 years.)

It seems to be the same old story year after year, winter jackets and blankets only seem to last one year.
if this people so stupid not to keep them for the next year,
than collect them every year after the " frozen Winter time " !!
Or dont deliver, they will remember !!
iIn 3 months they will have no water - songkhran,
in 6 months no food of the try season
in 9 months boats for floods,
MMMMM... last time I looked there where only 12 months in a year but I get your drift lmao

The only businesses that wont be selling booze are Lotus Central ect . For any corner store it will be business as usual.
Like many of the ideas the come from the top, it sounds good in theory but in reality its totally un-enforcable.

Well in my opinion I reckon if you all banded together and made him feel unwelcome he would stop coming. It might be a bit tense for a while but if you find his company so irritating its a price worth paying.
The truth of the matter is just be a bit more wary about who you befriend . I always keep my distance when introduced to new people as in my experiance 8 out of 10 are dodgy.

Why on earth would anyone want to by a bar?
In reality the only way to make money from a bar is to sell it for more than you paid to the next idiot.

When I built my house I installed one or sometimes two boxes on every wall. I don't have any rug rats so I mounted them the US way, 12 inches above the floor. Most are hidden behind furniture and I think that there is only one extension cord in the house which I made especially, length, for the application. I have eight mounted outlets on the wall where my desk and computers are. I hate extension cords and wired my house myself when i built it.
Thats a wise move if you are in charge of the build but unfortunately those that rent or buy an existing house are screwed. I have never in my 26 years here ever owned or rented a place with enough electric outlets.
Btw. Have any of you ever lifted a ceiling tile and wondered why there is 5-6 km of randomly connected (Usually joined with black tape) cable up there?

Does the course include a class on " How to switch on your meter" ?

They always have wanted those documents here in Khon Kaen.

"In 2003 a young child was shot dead after police fired at a car driven by the father, a suspected dealer." This was also at Bang Chan if my memory serves me right.

Wonder if he has a work permit lol.

Yes, it is for the Vietnamese client. Thai people are Buddhist, don't kill animal and never eat dog.
I lived upcountry in a village near Puwieng in Khon Kaen province. At night you would hear motorbikes creeping along followed by a yelp and there would be one less mutt wandering round in the morning. Turns out that the local yobs have acciquired a taste for dog meat ( well have you ever tried shooting one of those home-made muskets they use..could'nt hit the side of Lumpini Stadium at 3 paces ) they are all Thai. Truth of the matter is in some places Thais do eat dog .

Maybe if the Immigration Dept used the Interpol list as a check on incoming "visitors" they might reduce the numbers. The other list they might want to integrate all the immigration systems not have them as stand alone computers, and check passport numbers against the lists of known stolen passports. This would take a little bit of IT understanding and would remove the discretion of the individual at the border.
I think that the Thai gov. has a phobia about using Interpol ... just ask Mr. T

As I have pointed out on many times . Thailand is a member of Interpol so the Thai's could easily have them (the Shin's) arrested and extradited back.

I can see that more people will be asked to show their passports when stopped by the police , at least for a while...

I dispute the need for 47,000 one ton pick-up trucks. The way most farmers overload them I reckon you could probably get away with using a couple of dozen.

I also had it happen to my house in Bangkok.
Although it maybe a little scarey I reckon that it would not hurt after being fired into the air and then passing through the roof tiles and false ceiling
