3 Pharmacies I went to today were all out of Alcohol , didn't know when it would be back.
Isopropyl alcohol can't be found in thailand way before corona outbreak.
I went to look for it in bangkok last year , nothing , here in the province , pharmacies , even in 3 hospitals , mai mee and can't order.

My nearly 14 year old Dell's graphic card is going kaput (nVidia) , last week first sign of video memory failure.
I went to look for some new one at JIB , it was very disappointing . No 17 inch screens . Hardware from 2 -3 years ago . Only lenovo and HP have onsite waranty , which seems to be , a lenovo or HP tech comes to fix it at the JIB store within a week.
The others (asus , acer,..) , you loose it 3 to 4 weeks for a repair ?
Bigger choice on their website but only order.
Another thing is , all the keyboards have thai letters on them.
With the corona virus , flying to europe is not an option , to buy a decent one. Can't go to Bangkok ... because of the corona.
And the same sh-t when it needs repair.
Sorry not to have a balcony to jump off from when my Dell croaks.

Yes some rain last night and the power went out ...
Yours too, Yom ?
And 2 times today , probably working on it by the company.
But it sure is nice to have some rain in march.

In this thread :
Frontline doesn't get the thumbs up . And it can do harm to the animal if you read the reviews on "the net" .
Well I am a worrier . If I choose wrong , such an operation can ruin the cat's life.
So no pills for deworming ? Those 5 kittens will need deworming too , because the mom has fleas.
-
^^ Yes Yom , I will check that one out.
It is such a big responsibility choosing the right vet.
If I choose badly I ruin the cats life . It still is a big operation and with Thai standards for hygiene and attitude , so much can go wrong , making the animal suffer.
But 5 kittens is a nightmare too .
Hey sceadugenga , since you have cats , what do you use against fleas and for deworming ?

Hi Yom,
From whom have you heard good things and for which animal ?
Can you give me the googlemaps link or coordinates ?
Looks like the left side of town.
Googlemaps show some vets , but I don't know if they're good enough.
The hospital near JIB is :
-
Anyone know of a good veterinarian in Phrae to spay female cats ?
And do a good clean job without wrecking their health .
The stray that chose me , just "rewarded" me with 5 little ones.
Her young daughter (+/- 8 months old) has 3 , last month...
The Thais here don't care .
They have fleas and need to be dewormed too .
I know the one near BigC in the street of the JIB store , but every time I go see , it's closed.
I've been there 5 years ago for information and wasn't impressed.
The one in the rundown house at the end of the talaat street for big volumes, has gone and that didn't inspire much confidence looking at that place.
I need a good vet not a butcher , or the mai-pen-rai types , or the let's scr-w the farang type.
Thanks.

^ Is it that different ?
You suffocate because there is congestion.
-
Maybe try : Otrivine nose spray.
Xylometazoline 0,1 %. 145 B. Spray and wait 5 minutes.
If it is allowed after such an operation.

Thais travelling all over the place as tourists to compensate for the lack of foreigners is a sure thing to spread the virus to every corner of Thailand.
I would love to come shopping in Bangkok , I NEED to go shopping in Bangkok,
but the risk too great. Two times 8 hours in a bus with closed aircon with sneezing
and coughing people , then the same with the city busses in Bangkok , touching
what hundreds before me have touched . Bus terminals full of people .
Then get the outbreak that is bound to happen and get quarantined in Bangkok.Who's going to pay for staying in quarantine , who's going to pay the hospital bills
when I get the virus. Do I feel lucky , punk ?
I'm already weary of cars here with Bangkok or Chiang Mai plates.

They deliver at your home or you go to their shop on Ban Moh.
I bought mine there.
Just buying at one of those 100 little shops at Ban Moh , you don't really know what you buy , specifications/resolution/accuracy... but you can get very cheap ones.

I don't have a phone and I'm sure a lot of (older) Thais don't have one either.
Besides phones are only the last 10 years or so.
Not much has changed in Thai banking since I came to Thailand some 20 years ago.

Just now, BritManToo said:
All free using the phone app to transfer or pay.
Yes I get that , but nor I or millions of Thais have a phone or a phone with an app to pay like that.
I guess somebody has to pay for the many folks "working" at the bank in the very cool expensive aircon.

What are you doing to cause yourself to be charged all these fees?
I don't have a checking account only a savings account. So whether I pay at my bank or at the bank of the receiver , I have to pay cash to send it to the receiver.
Still it is ridiculous to pay at least 50 B for that. (more for larger amounts , even to your own account at the same bank but in different provinces).
I don't have online banking , because I don't trust it , especially in a country like Thailand and because my OS & browser are not supported and in case something goes wrong , I will be blamed.
I doubt all Thais have the means to pay online .
How do they pay water and electricity ?
-
I have to pay 50 B to pay around 1000 B to another bank , or the same bank but in other province ? Ridiculous !
How can a Thai with 300B/day go pay his/her bills if every time you pay an extra 50 B ?
When I researched Promptpay , the website said that banks are lowering their fees because of the competition of PP , but that hasn't happened yet.
I order something online , it costs only 57 B to have EMS send a box to me 650 km further , but the f'ing bank wants 50 B just for a few computer keystrokes ?? Completely out of wack.

Thailand admits it is 'unable to stop the spread' of China's deadly coronavirus as health minister warns more cases are coming.
I 'm sure everything is 100 % ok ... not !

Perfectly safe to give PESTICIDE to eat to your dog ? you must be a great follower !
Finally some one says it .
How can a product that kill pests but don't harm your dog or cat ?
I'm dealing with cats that have fleas , and just researched Frontline. No way I'm giving them that sh_t.
It might make them ill or even kill them .
You try not to get it on your hands or kids , but it's ok for the pet's skin to absorb , or take orally like Bravecto or Nextguard ?
I try the flea comb ... if they let me.

That's why this site is BS : https://www.airvisual.com/thailand/phrae/rong-kwang
At the same time that Phrae town has 328 , 25 km further it's only 64 ?? BS. A lot of smoke here in the air , maybe local burning ... I'm not coming out to go see.
Trying to keep the cats in the room .

These days there is no need for AC !?
It's nearly february . Starting around 14.00 , temps climb above 30 , so yes AC 'till the sun goes down.
Mae Moh burns all year round , trafic too . Probably the reason why we're always yellow , between 50 and 100 on aqicn. Just from december to june it gets over 100 . So it's the farmers and deliberate forest fires.

Yes for diesel too , but now the difference between premium and ordinary SHELL diesel is more than 5 B/l . Shame on you shell. profit , profit , profit !
PTT's premium stays cheaper , but isn't better.
