  1. RT@teamkorn Apparently YL's vote is now invalid, she put her ballot in the wrong box (orange party list ballot goes in other box) pic.twitter.com/T5o3GLUt0I

    BfdXLiuCUAE2bKd.jpg

We all knew the PM isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but this cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

Probably put all the rice scam money into the "wrong" account, too. Utter nitwit.

Surely this has to be a fake Photshop pic, as if the PM would not vote properly.

The elections officials told everyone wrong.

Get a close up of the box, all the slips inside are ORANGE and so everyone was told, including YL, to put the wrong slip into the box - else it would not be full of orange slips.

In my opinion of course :)

Plenty of close ups of the box and it being full of Orange slips on the internet.

  2. And from Tarit :

RT@veen_NT: Tarit: It's important to continue SoE in the said areas. #CMPO

RT@tulsathit: CMPO asks police to investigate poll officials who "abandoned" their duties. via @js100radio

RT@veen_NT: Tarit: Some officials intend to 'neglect' their duties at polling booths. We will as police to investigate & charge them.

That will make it absolutely certain that no one will take on the job in future.

No, it will mean the majority of officials who did do their job today, will be used to carry out the work of those who failed today.

And those who failed today due to whatever reason, will be investigated to see if there was any bias and deliberate sabotage of an election.............and if so then therefore should they be convicted for what they done. The innocent will be fine, anyone found guilty of deliberately sabotaging a polling station, well, they will have committed a criminal offense.

In my opinion only of course.

  3. I've heard a ridiculous rumour that the caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck failed to vote correctly at the polling station and therefore technically she has not voted. However, I'm sure this cannot be true (I mean even the twelve million politically unaware Bangkok elite know how to vote for heaven's sake) and she is not only her brother's party's number one pick but the last hope for democracy and honest government in Thailand. And to anyone who thinks she really is this stupid just remember she also the holder of master's degree in a language she barely speaks so that proves how smart she must be, doesn't it?

She did indeed put the paper in the wrong box, however there were hundreds of journalists present and you can see in any of the videos out there that she asked the official where to put the paper and the official showed her the wrong box, probably out of excitement.

It does not mean she did not vote, it means her vote is not valid. There's a difference. So if you planned a party because of this, you can cancel it now.

A sad comment on someone who has been PM and wants to be again that they have to ask where to put a ballot paper.

And you (and no doubt she) try to blame the official.

Did you see the look on the face of the girl standing at the other ballot box, complete amazement that anyone who has been PM doesn't know how to vote.

Actually the officials told everyone to put them into the wrong boxes - its their mistake.

Take a look at the box, its full of Orange slips.......... everyone had been told the wrong one it seems.

Photo is out on Twitter showing through the front glass the box with all Orange slips inside as YL puts the Orange inside.............. election official mistake.

    In my opinion.

I am sure Richard Barrow tweeted the photo stating all slips in the box were the wrong colour.............

  4. Many seem to be shouting war and trying to ignite one. All caused by one single person for greed and desire of greatness. 64 years old and gathered billions. Still it's not enough. How does he think he can return to Thailand and live? Become president of the north? It will not happen.

Yes Taksin did some bad things, everybody knows all about them.

But he should have been voted out !!

Not thrown out through a coup and ignore the voice of the masses.

    Three times already !

Everybody calls them dumb and ignorant but wonders why they are fed up with it.

Taksin plays a dirty game using these people, i fully agree, but the old elite plays a dumb game ignoring them.

    And this is the result.

As said before, i feel very sorry for this beautiful country !!

Before I said it is a choice between bad (dems) and superbad (shinas). The shinas raised corruption to an exceptional level. Allowing them to go on would mean many more billions thrown away in the rice scam and the go ahead for the 2.2 TRILLION loan. That would mean an incredible national debt that would haunt the taxpayers for decades.

If chose the dems then they can be much easier replaced when something better comes into politics. And that for sure will happen. If chose the shinas, the cancer will spread more and more beyond cure. Corruption will spread deeper and deeper.

I share your regret for the country. But Thailand and Thai people remain beautiful and resourceful. They deserve better than now and in the past. And they will get it. The country will be back on top of the world as a rice selling country and in many other ways standards will go up too. But keeping the shinas would be disastrous. Trace where the taxpayer's money went and perhaps billions can be brought back.

Have long have you been here ?

Corruption was at its very worst long before Thaksin. Massive massive corruption.

The reason the whole country in effect voted in TRT and Thaksin was to reduce corruption. They thought he was already massively rich and he would therefore distribute money to all the people, not just keep filling the pockets of the Bangkok elite.

He did that, people all over the country benefited. The health care scheme, money being spent on new roads and airports all over the country. Bangkok finally after about 40 years of corruption got its new airport built.

Corruption fell under TRT and things actually started to get done, Thailand boomed............

But this made him a very popular man in Thailand. TOO POPULAR.

And what happens to popular people who threaten "old money" is they get taken out, they get disgraced with fake charges, they have massive propaganda against them and get killed or exiled. Its happened in many countries all over the world throughout time.

If you had been in Thailand in the 1970's and 1980's you would know the real meaning of corruption on a massive scale.

All of course, in my opinion.

  5. The Reds are proclaiming about Sedition and Revolution, not Democracy. The evidence is in their act of injuring or killing others who disagree with them.

Hmmm...DSI is very quiet towards this group of people. Who is DSI working for?

    Not at all.

The only excuse (at the moment) for a coup is to stop violence.

If they are warned there will be a thousand times more violence if there is a coup, it makes those who try to implement a coup much more wary of doing so.

This is now 2014. Crimes against humanity now go to the International Courts. Coups of late have only been accepted as they were bloodless. Should a coup happen and then all hell breaks lose, then those who carry it out will have to face International courts.

I am still waiting for Suthep and Abhisit to face their charges of murder for sending out the army with live ammo against red shirts.

If you want to note the hypocrisy here, the excuse for sending the army in with live ammo was "red shirts have guns" and yet we see yesterday PDRC guards have automatic weapons and handguns and yet, the army do nothing, say nothing.............. total hypocrisy.

At least PTP and YL have explicitly told police and army - no weapons.

So ultimately its just to restrain the hands of those wanting to subvert Democracy and get an appointed PM and appointed council to run the country. They know full well if they try it then they might not be able to just hide away somewhere nice near the beach with hundreds of millions of baht in the bank account as payment for services rendered, they might be called up to face International Courts following thousands of deaths due to their action.

So I say no not at all to your sedition and revolution claims. They have said that if there is a coup (which immediately breaks the constitution and those carrying it are traitors) then they will take action against the people who try to pull off another coup. Once the constitution is broken by a coup and traitors are in charge, there is no constitution in effect.

All in my opinion of course.

  6. It was good the election was carried out without problem in the majority of the country, only in a small minority of the country was it disrupted by criminals (as it is against the law to obstruct an election) of the PDRC.

Now the boot is firmly on the other foot.

Suthep and the Democrats have to urgently try to get this election nullified..............the reason why is that..............

Everyone has seen the armed PDRC guards at Laksi shooting at pro-election people.

All the election staff who are biased and resigned, did not turn up or closed early are now on record.

All those election staff who turned up, did their job and carried out the election process are now on record.

So, as we go forward, staff who carried out the election process can now be put into place at places where it failed for by-elections.

The police only have to now guard a very few places for the by-elections.

So the boot is now on the other foot and it will get more and more difficult for the PDRC to obstruct by-elections, and each one that is a success pushes the number of seats upwards towards the 95% target.

The caretaker government now is still caretaker and cannot be removed, the EC are now tasked on their own to run by-elections and so all the pressure now goes to Suthep and the Democrats and the PDRC backers, because if they cannot get the result annulled, and with public support failing very quickly now for them, they are in trouble.

The PDRC are being clever still, they are trying hard to keep photo appearances up of protest support but :

1/ They are giving away free food and drink - which attracts people.

2/ They have actors and actresses in their midst - which attracts people for photos.

3/ They have lots of stalls selling items, getting in the shopping crowd - which attracts people.

All very clever ways of trying to show more people attending, but their tactics are failing and failing fast, protestor levels are dropping all the time - the Laksi incident and PDRC guards shooting and hurting pro-election people has done them massive harm.

All in my opinion of course.

  7. Quite clearly here you can see the PDRC guy has a gun hidden in a bag.... So peaceful arn't they.

We been saying for weeks, there is a group of armed masked men marching with Suthep and there to protect him and the mob. Video of the day this and had a great outing on Twitter as well. Which means Reauters, AFP, BBC. All seen Sutheps peacuful protesters not obstructing polls.

Make is so much harder for the army to coup now. This video speaks a million words about this disgusting spectacle of a mob let loose in Bangkok by the Elites in order to get at their prize. Which is also out in the open now.

Yes, a PDRC man with a rifle hidden in a bag firing at red shirts.

By the way they were moving, one behind the other, the man behind spotting for the shooter, they look military trained in my opinion.

PDRC appear well armed, but then, they have lots of money behind them and powerful figures preventing the police from arresting them or taking action against them

All in my opinion of course.

Can I ask how you know for certain that was PDRC?

Sent from my XT1032 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

Perhaps because they run from the direction of the PDRC protestors, ahead of them, and shooting towards a different direction (where the red shirts are).

Makes it quite simple to understand, all in my opinion of course.

  8. He cannot vote imo, the few thousand supporters left of the PDRC would likely all leave if he did.

Notice how few of them there are now from recent photos, a couple of thousand at the moment and dwindling all the time.

More and more people now know the real reasons behind the PDRC and they are now not going to let these people pull off another power grab, which is why less and less people now support the PDRC.

Abhisit is just a yes man and front guy for those people in my view, he does what they say and does well out of it, which is why he will have been told, in my opinion, he cannot vote and must show support for the PDRC.

All in my opinion of course.

  10. The elections on the 2nd are futile. There is no way that it will be able to seat a gov't.

If we look at last Sunday, 22% were shut down leaving 78% open. yet only 22% of those registered actually voted. A clear signal that Surapong was not being factual when he stated that because 66 provinces voted it meant the majority were in favor of the elections.

Already they will be unable to seat the party-list candidates (that is 125 out of 500 that cannot be seated) and w/o 95% there can be no gov't..

Why do you not also say.

The Thai Constitution says that the caretaker government will remain the caretaker government until the new parliament is formed.

The EC has to keep running by-elections in any seat where the vote was unsuccessful, and keep doing it over and over again until someone is elected in that area.

After the initial vote the 20% requirement does not matter, so in the end 1 vote for 1 person is enough to win them the seat in by elections if they are held over and over.

So the election PROCESS which has commenced and will further move along on Feb 2nd IS NOT FUTILE and will, eventually, leads to 95% of seats filled through by-elections.

That is the LAW, that is the CONSTITUTION. Elections must proceed unless there is a National Emergency as defined in the written Thai Constitution.

All in my opinion of course.

  11. WOW

Another "source" story quoting something that MAY or MAY NOT happen.

    LOL cheesy.gif

I think the media is going to be full of may do this and may do that stories in the run up to Feb 2nd. Lots of "source" stories as the propaganda machines of certain Thai media outlets ramp up to lash out at red shirts, PTP, YL all in the hope of causing minimal votes for PTP and to get more protestors in to stop elections and prevent people voting.

    In my opinion of course.

  12. I think its going to be Democrat Party using all its influence all out to try to get some more protestors on the streets in the coming days. They got badly burned from the PDRC's vote blocking nonsense and so its going to be all out media spin.

NACC might be doing this and that.

Courts might be doing this and that.

Democrat Party might do this or that.

Abhisit could do this and maybe not.

Suthep might do something and might not.

Sources in the media will see Elvis meeting with Thaksin perhaps

Sources in the media will report Thaksin speaking to Lord Lucan on Skype perhaps

Red shirts already hounded for years for burning things, will be accused of burning things, and someone will post a video that everyone knows that the ultimate fire that burnt down CW did not start in the that place, that tiny fire was put out. The real fire starter was in another location. But its a chance to accused the accused yet again of burning things (only been 3 years of it over and over and over again so far)

I think everyone is going to mull over, talk about maybe and possibly without committing to anything, in a massive media spin in the coming days to try their very very best to stop people voting and stop them voting PTP.

All in my opinion of course..................

  13. Anyone know how to explain the "Rice Scheme" scandal simply? My Wife who happens to be Thai wants to know how 130 billion but just disappeared and I have no clue myself as I just started following this.

Guess I should have googled first! Here is the answer to my own question http://world.time.com/2013/07/12/how-thailands-botched-rice-scheme-blew-a-big-hole-in-its-economy/

Its called running a budget deficit.

You know that big old economy called the USA ? The one that ramps up its "losses" every second of every day, and has a massive debt that keeps on growing...... yes, that is also called a budget deficit. However in the US they do not call it losses, they only appear to be intellectually dumb in Thailand and call it losses.

In the real world real people call this running a budget deficit.

    In my opinion of course.

  14. I think YS will agree to a 3 month delay. Some in her party don't agree

Sent from my Nexus 4 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

Yes and then the next day took it back saying she was only thinking about it

I think you are perhaps getting sucked into the spin stories of the very biased elements of the Thai media.

Most of these "thinking about this or that" stores or "phone from Dubai" all come from a certain person called "source" and of course this source is not named, and comes up with all sorts of wild stories, which as they come from an unnamed source can be total fantasy as much as anything else.

I suggest you only believe media reports where people, with their real names, are quoted as saying something.

Any article where it says "source", in Thailand is, in my opinion, often 9 times out of 10 lies and just propaganda.

In my opinion all of that, of course.

  15. I think YS will agree to a 3 month delay. Some in her party don't agree

Sent from my Nexus 4 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

    She cannot.

The Thai Constitution does not allow for any delay to an election unless there is a National Disaster (like war) past the time limit.

A postponement can occur within the time frames (eg they could delay from 2nd to 5th of Feb) but it cannot go past the time limit (in this case Feb 6th) as that would be a breach of the Constitution.

The Constitution Court clarified that the election can be postponed, but only in certain circumstances as stated in the Constitution. They failed to give any guidance on whether the current situation warrants a postponement. (Guess why ???)

Therefore it would be illegal and break the Constitution for there to be any delay of the election past Feb 6th.

The CC had the chance to offer guidance which could have led to a postponement, however they declined to give guidance saying only it could be delayed under certain circumstances like a National Emergency, and did not give any more information.

So the election has to go ahead else on Feb 7th I am quite sure the PDRC and Democrat Party would be filing charges in the CC against Yingluck for not holding an election within the maximum time allowed from dissolution as stated in the Constitution.

All in my opinion of course.

  16. So Suthep says it may be a Cambodian and this rates a news story? At least he can supply a credible source for such an inflammatory story, can't he? No? Then please don't repeat more of his outrageous statements as "news." Propaganda should be left in the streets where it originated.

there are tons of light evidence that some Cambodians (soldiers?) have been imported. But for you it is most probably also just propaganda that Suthin was shot at the same time from 2 directions and in the head, which clearly shows that it was planed by someone who knows about shooting.

I thought they were special forces snipers.

Why the need from two directions? Maybe they know nothing about shooting!

Also 80, bit difficult to cover that up I would have thought.

    Just speculation and rantings.

I think the Cambodians are a little busy in Cambodia with demonstrations there.

Suffice to say Hun Sen has shown some morals and not accused all the violent protestors in Cambodia of being Thai.

    As for Suthep....................

    All in my opinion.

  17. Snatch squads is a good tactic.

Send out around 20 squads all over the place and then stop and arrest a group at one place, then another, then another, then another, all at different places.

The SOE is in effect and so it is perfectly legal for the police to do it, which is why the PDRC are now in the courts trying to get the SOE revoked asap.

There is basically only a few thousand protestors now and there is very limited local support after recent events, even less so after the blocking of voters, so the time is now right for the police to go arrest a load of them.

All in my opinion of course.

  18. Well, the blocking of polling stations is a criminal offense.

Blocking of another person and stopping them voting is a criminal offense.

Lets just hope everyone, all the millions of voters this Sunday take their camera phones with them and record the faces with photo and video of anyone denying, or trying to deny them of their right to vote.

Then report them all to the police, post their photos and videos on line and let everyone know exactly who they are so they can all be prosecuted later.

    Remember , no amnesty.

Commit an offense and you are liable to prosecuted within a 10 years statute of limitations time frame.

Surat Thani might have to build some new prisons as there could be a very high rate of convictions of criminals there this year, or next.

    All in my opinion.

  19. I am disgusted. Look at video.

at 1:40 you see one of the red-shirt thugs using the Thai flag to bash the window of a car. This is after the shooting of protestors in the street.

    I am appalled..

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bwv44THcXD0&sns=em

How do you know they are red ? they could be either yellow or local enraged non affiliated a lot of these red or yellow flags come from the Wat. I certainly don't have a clue and neither do you.

    Well said.

There is no proof whatsoever that anyone who attacked is a red shirt.

The flags were from the temple and all along the roadside.

They are not wearing red shirts. They have not been arrested and giving interviews saying they are red shirts.

Unless there is factual proof that these people were red shirts then people should stop making false accusations.

For all anyone knows they could be upset voters who are really not happy that their polling booth was just closed.

And that pick up truck, from later photos, was full of weapons (knives, slingshot etc...).

All in my opinion of course.

  20. My guess is that it was PDRC taking out one of their own

    This isn't 2010.

    What proof was there then?

When the Italian journalist was killed it was also blamed on the men in black trying to frame the military and yet :

29th May 2013 "Bangkok Criminal Court on Wednesday ruled that Italian journalist Fabio Polenghi was killed by a bullet fired by the security forces"

His family didn't stop fighting and the truth came out.

I would suggest that, if you are Cambodian there is no need to hide your face as the Thai system does not have your face and ID card number in it.

I would suggest that if you are Thai you need to hide your face else someone will catch you.

In view of that its quite possible the grenade thrower might have been a foreigner.

In view of that its plausible the Men In Black in 2010 were army infiltrators sent "behind enemy lines" with weapons and also arson equipment to justify the use of live ammo against red shirts and to damage their reputation by setting fire to a few things.

Many things are possible and plausible however, they are just fantasy until there are facts to back them up.

So where are the facts ?

    Just my opinion of course.

  21. Everyone knew that Suthin was the biggest thorn in Thaksin's involvement in PTT. He was the one bringing all the dirt to the surface of the shady company and dealings. This opportunity to take him out was just a matter of convenience so it could look like it was protest related when it actually was not.

As much as I deplore murder there is another way of looking at it.

If he had not been trying to take away peoples basic right to vote, he would not have been at that junction and he would not have been shot.

Had he been at home with his family he would be alive today. Had he been protesting at one of the main protest sites he would be alive today.

He made a decision to lead protestors to commit the criminal offense of blocking Thai citizens right to vote.

So whilst it is sad and I deplore the murder of anyone, his actions and breaking the law had an impact on the end, in which he got shot.

The cries of "Cambodians" is just a poor attempt to get the army to come out and have a coup #fail #desperate.

Whilst the cries of "Vietnamese" might have worked in getting the army to put down the students in 1973, this kind of desperation will not work in 2014

All in my opinion of course.
