2 hours ago, Jerno said:Send over the subs and aircraft carrier. That should show Russia. Seriously, Thailand should be pushing China to condemn and sanction Russia, not sit on the sidelines on this illegal war perpetrated by Putin.
In the same way that it supported democracy and human rights in Myanmar.

I've lived in Pattaya more than 20 years, yet
I still cannot determine the location of an
address such as: 420/191 Moo 9, Soi 15
What do all those numbers mean?

Extended my one-year visa yesterday in Jomtien.
Long line (waited more than an hour).
Gave them two photos, they returned one to me.
Documents showing proof of condo ownership was
insufficient to establish my residence; they photo-
copied front/back of driving license as well.

By now you have probably gotten a call-back. Leaving callers wondering about the hang-up is a rude mistake, but the system works. They silently register your telephone number and call back in a couple hours or less.

Thanks for all your input, Khun Ben Q.
Seems you understood my question and provided suitable answers.

I think it needs an explanation from the OP which kind of rates he is interested in.
For the private user it's normally "bank buying cash" or the TT rate for incoming transfers.

For years I have been accessing up-to-the-minute foreign exchange rates offered by a dozen Thai banks using a Website called “DayToDayData” (https://daytodaydata.net/).
As of this week, however, when attempting to access that Website I get a message saying: The page you tried to access does not exist on this server.
Does anyone know what became of DayToDayData? And/or can you provide an equally reliable source for bank foreign exchange rates (other than checking every bank individually)?

Am I reading this right? You got your first shot August 26 and your second shot September 16?
Yet BHP has me waiting nearly THREE full months (July 28 to October 21) for my second jab!

Thank you, Peter and Eindhoven,
You make good points.
I AM using 3-G; even says so on my air card.
I will visit True this afternoon and look into upgrading.
Thanks again,
Paul

is this an intended-offtopic-shít-hits-the-fan thread?
well, if you are serious - go to Lazada and search for "dtac unlimited sim" or "ais unlimited sim", there are 2 varieties - unlimited traffic but limited speed (10 Mbps), or unlimited speed (usually about 50 Mbps, max 80-100) but limited traffic (60 Gb monthly)
Thank you, FDSA,
I will do that now.
I posted my question in the IT- Computer forum.
Why would you suggest it might be "intended-offtopic-shít-hits-the-fan thread?"

Good Morning,
For more than 10 years I've been using a True SIM card on my PC to access the Internet.
The connection has been slow and erratic lately, so I am interested in finding another
ISP that offers online access via a SIM card. (I do not have a land line.)
So far I've not had any success. Please tell me if you know that True is the one and only
such provider in Thailand, and/or if you have a suggestion for alternative providers.
Thank you,
Paul

With most hotels closed (therefore, empty) and hundreds of shops shut down,
I would think some business owner or city official would work toward making
that neglected space available to some of the thousands of homeless in and
around Pattaya.
Where's the selfless, creative, entrepreneurial spirit that Thai's take pride in?

The Reuters' report fails to mention Thailand, Myanmar's closest neighbor. If China is supporting the Myanmar junta, and the west is supporting democratic factions, where does Thailand stand?

For my initial 90-day report after extending my one-year visa, Pattaya Immigration wants proof of continued funds in bank.
Will an updated savings passbook suffice? Or must I get a letter from my bank and submit it with a photocopy of passbook?
