  1. Chorizo: Look at the last sentence in Puyaidon's first paragraph.

[Change is coming and the fees will go up. $82 for extra pages with notorial services going up to $50. Attached is a page from the Federal Register that shows the new rates that will come into being, date of implementation now unknown.]

  2. to re-upholster a couch, in leather will definitely cost you much more than 5,000 Baht

reupholster mine for 5000+baht more than I originally paid for it

It can not be in leather then.....trust me on that !

It appears that you still are misreading the OP. He is saying that if he originally paid 50,000 baht for the couch, they NOW want him to pay 55,000 baht to reupholster it (5,000 baht more than what he paid).

  3. When visiting Angeles City, is it better to take cash in baht or US dollars? And where is the best place to exchange currency into pesos? Or is it even better to rely on ATMs? If using ATMs is better, is the exchange rate at the Manila airport similar to those of ATMs in Angeles? And would it be a good idea to make ATM withdrawals from my US bank rather than from my Thai bank?

Thank you for any suggestions and help.

  4. Those 26 vendors were back on Walking Street Tuesday night...accompanied by at least 50 of their brethren tapping shoulders, sticking flowers in faces, and offering sex shows (wonder if police were able to determine location of those sex shows from the vendors, then follow up by busting such illegal activities?) And WHY was the round-up conducted at 2:30 in the morning? Why not 9 or 10 PM?

  5. A bit off topic for Fellow Phantom owners:

I had those crash bars added when I bought my Phantom four years ago (1,000 baht then)

and they've kept me unscathed in two accidents.

BUT do any of you know how to keep those bars looking clean and new? Within a few months,

they began changing color and/or rusting. Nothing I've tried has worked to restore the original

finish. (I think that's because they are not manufactured by Honda, but are made in Thailand.)

    Any suggestions?

  6. Hi, Nick,

Central has a bread maker (about 7,000 baht). They have a Kitchen Aid stand mixer for about 30,000 baht. I know nothing about dehydrators. You might check out Chatuchak market for some items, but only guessing. Your best luck will be in smaller specialty stores that will seem invisible to most casual passers by. Try looking in the Thai Yellow Pages online in English. (http://www.yellow.co.th/). Don't neglect Makro.

  7. To find your previous post, go to My Assistant (just below the top banner), then to last choice there (My Last 10 Posts).

As to True, I agree. Good service. Responsive when problems arise. Reasonable fees. Let's hope you can actually get 3 mbps as new Asia-America cable takes effect.

  8. If you locate in places such as Phuket or Pattaya, your language skills should put you at great advantage. Most vets I've visited speak no English. I assume you can speak German as well as English. Probably the two most important languages (other than Thai) for running a vet clinic in the two cities named above.
