Just got a replacement Visa Card from the US. It took 10 days using
USPS Priority Mail.

"Hundreds of protesters were reportedly killed on June 4, 1989, when Chinese troops launched a crackdown on a largely peaceful rally for basic rights being held in the Beijing square."
Why "reportedly?"

I did 90-day report in Jomtien two weeks ago. Was not asked about 800,000 baht.

Thanks Joe. It's the 800k one at Jomtien.
Did my initial 90-day yesterday at Jomtien. Did NOT need to show passbook
or proof of 800,000 baht in bank. In and out in (literally) 1 minute!

A green light should only ever be considered as a "proceed with caution" especially here in Thailand.
And a red light should be considered as a suggestion to stop...or at least slow down.????

Does anyone know which (if any) markets carry dog biscuits?
I have checked all the major supermarkets and several pet
shops; nothing. In fact, no sales people were familiar with the
item.
Thanks

Maybe if the Mayor issued another press release incorporating all of the above thoughts, criticisms
and concepts.???? (We know how receptive Thais are to suggestions from farang.)

What about those of us who do not own a house so have no house registration card?

Did my 90-day report in Jomtien last week. No mention of bank balance!

No the are not. Just a check of the balance 3 months after date of application.
Just breezed through my 90-day report in Jomtien. The question of bank balance never arose.

That beach photo might encourage me to leave,
but the new immigration requirements will not.
I maintain the ฿800,000 balance year round. It's
easier and helps keep life simple--the way it's
supposed to be in LOS

I use Somat 8-in-1 and finish. Though cheaper abroad, you can get them at CentralWorld supermarket on top floor, but also at any Villa. The tabs are easy. Though you should still have salt and rinse aid, the tablet is all in one that is put in washer and turned on. It may not be suitable for short runs as it may not completely dilute but normal and eco programs they work well. If you want to try on yours, PM me and I'll send you a few to try.
Thanks for the info and for your kind offer. I also use Finish, and I don't mind spending a few baht on tabs at Villa if they are important to the wash or washer. Thanks again.

Powerbuy has many. My Siemens has been going strong for ~ a decade. No roaches or rats ????. Buy tablets and salt from various supermarkets and use vinegar for the rinse.
Hi, Chaatette, I've had a dishwasher (bought online) for about six months but did not know about tablets, salt and vinegar. Can you tell me what to look for and which markets carry the products?

Hi, fellow BJJ fan,
I have no idea where you are or what's in your area.
However, I would suggest you contact my friend
Rorion Gracie and ask him the same question (see
email pasted in below for contact info).
If nothing else, you might ask to be put on his mailing
list for occasional lessons and VDOs on moves.
Good luck in Singburi,
Paul

Why does Pattaya One continually refer to Sukhumvit as the Sukhumvit Road?
It's a British thing. Brits omit the word "the" before hospital ("Mr Z
was in hospital for a week") and, rather than waste it, they insert
it before street names.
As to Pattaya's common floods, didn't the Mayor call this a
World Class City--the Asian Riviera?
-
Just back from a ONE HOUR drive from Pattaya Nua to Patta
Tai (N. Pattaya Road to S. Pattaya Road). Third Road flooded.
Soi Buakhao flooded. Connecting sois flooded.
First World City my ass!

Didn't see Pattaya mentioned in the schedules?
Look for U Tapao (near Rayong)
