Thailand’s sugar intake quadruples WHO daily limit causing health concerns
Xonax replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
You are correct that a human body needs sugar, in order to function well. But that sugar should primarily come from healthy food like fruits and vegetables and not from sugary drinks, cakes and snacks. Diabetes is not caused by eating to much sugar, but by obesity, so when people are beginning to get fat, it is about time to cut down on the sugar intake. -
The tourists are back in Bangkok and so are the crooked taxi drivers. During the covid pandemic, they were few and far between. When a taxi driver rolls down the window, you know that something is not right. Either he will not use the meter, or he will be selective about the destination. All the honest taxi drivers will let you open the back door to get in and tell your destination.

I had a few Honda PCX bikes over the years, which had a very hard seat. I solved the problem by getting a custom made seat with extra foam padding in the front area where I sit. That also made it way more comfortable to drive on a rough road. For the last 3 years I have driven a Honda ADV150, which has a good suspension, so extra padding has not been needed. I've heard that that ADV150 was to high for thais, so Honda made the later ADV's with a lower sitting hight. If they just did it, by removing a few centimeters of padding in the seat, the seat may need to be customized for better comfort. Make sure that you get your own bike seat customized, so you don't end up exchanging it for a cheap aftermarket seat.

That's just around 1.5% of the plastic waste, so what about the remaining 98.5%? The politicians need to realize, that this is a major problem, that needs to be solved now! More recycling and proper waste management is urgently needed. Let the plastic manufacturers pay for it through a special plastic tax.

That is a ridiculous amount for 4 days of hospitalization. I guess that half of it was useless medicine she was prescribed to take. What is the name of that hospital? She should have been treated as a foreign resident and pay the bill, if she decided not to buy travel insurance ! Foreign expats in Thailand can not get free healthcare, if they travel back to our native country to visit friends and family.
