still trying to find out, is it illegal to buy Alcohol or Illegal to drink it ?
as the only law i have found is about drinking in a motor vehicle
does any one have a quote?
i heard a rumor from were we live that three lads were arrested for
drinking beer in one of their houses (a laundry) and they say they got
40,000 baht fine each.
but surely you cannot be charged for drinking beer in your own house.

Hey, I know that one! So you contact them after 45 days and tell them about it, and they say you waited too long, these things must be settled within 14 days (or some such).
"But I contacted you on (insert date here)"
"We have no record of that."
Best of luck with this mess.
i purchase most things on my UK credit card they are normally Quite good and i ask for
Charge Back if they mess them about (hopefully they do) then it becomes a <deleted>-take and
they have come good twice before and i had one were they never replied back but that was
not a charge back, the Airlines are taking the <deleted>. as they do nowadays.

i have similar but not AA,
I booked Nok Air for one trip they ''Suspended flight'' and have not been keen on refunding my money
i have recently had an Email from Chirayut [email protected] basically saying i can get
a refund after 45 working days ? (this was after messing me about so i involved my CC issuing bank and all of a sudden they replied)
my other flights were with Thai Lion Air who when i contacted they told me to contact my travel agent ? i went back over my booking and no mention of any travel agent until i paid but my total booking was made with TLA and i think i got an Email from Air-Paz or similar confirming the flight i had just booked? so they seemed to be wriggling from day one.
the Hotel refunded my money after bank contacted them, still trying for the other four flights.
i basically got music played day after day they wanted me to take a voucher but i have heard in the past other airlines have doubled the flight price so vouchers can be iffy.
Amazon refund within a day???

walking with the wife yesterday and we came upon a Queue in Jomtien by Soi Watt Boon
there must of been a few hundred as the Thai people were like sardines, the
wife informed me that it was a charity and food handout.
but just before by the market further up the road, it was busy and people did not seem to try
and do the social distancing, it makes a mockery of the closure of restaurants and other places
we did wear masks and tried to keep a couple of yards away from others, but a lot did not seem
to be bothered.

Your statement is false.
"All coronavirus patients will be treated for free at all hospitals in Thailand, with the costs paid by three healthcare funds, effective retroactively from March 5."
It includes foreigners.
Well advertised information search it.
Could you put a link up to confirm this statement as most people i have spoken to since the stay home rules have been announced, believe that all foreigners had to pay for any tests/treatment re
convid-19.... due to past experience (20 years) many people do not have 100% trust in some hospitals here .

just checked Nok Air and flights I booked and as far as I know were canceled
are now running again ??? ok I have been on lock down or whatever but I do not remember all the Travel Restrictions being lifted, I was amazed at the refund offered if you applied ''only flight fee refunded all taxes /Vat ect. ect.
not refunded, you can purchase a refund for 1000 baht per flight''
so paid 700 baht get about 300 baht and refund then pay 1000 baht is this legal??? they give you 300 and you add 700 and all is good....If this is legal it defies belief.... its like one flew over..

He would have done that the day before
on my last trip to Jomtien IMM before convid-19 ,as I waited inside for my 90 days stamp, an Asian lad went to take a picture (there was lots of Agents with bundles of passports) but an immigration officer
growled at the lad and pointed at the ''No Photographs sign'' they were very quick to react, but now they let lots of pictures be taken outside in Their carpark, may be some of the Immigration offices are not happy with this situation and welcomed the publishing of this poor treatment to both Farang and imm officers as it can kill both parties its not like they are immune.

I have never done my 90 day by post, but does it not entail going the post office (soi 5) and also getting all the documents copied (soi 5 or any copy shop) not sure how many documents/stamps ect and if it can be done in one venue? totally the first for me, I have had iffy experience's trying to use the online method for basically anything re Immigration? but I am no Techy
by any stretch. and its a shame as the 90 day report is the Dogs B****cks
of any of my dealings with Immigration.

just had Netflix ''something has gone wrong'' for the second day running
I managed to get it back on yesterday but went on their homepage today and all apologies and Vid-19 and not enough staff to cover at this point, so for me it is down but they managed to receive my monthly fee,
but when I asked if they were giving refunds (mainly because we have four flights and two hotel bookings) and I am feeling as if no one wants to know about giving money back for something they are not providing and its all Convids-19 fault.
-
I have two flights with Thai lion air who on the only time I made contact told me to contact The travel Agency (I presume they mean '' Airpaz '') they have canceled all flights so why do I have to contact their partner in …...
the other flights with Nok Air has at least said I might be able to get a voucher but they asked me to wait until near my original flight date.
the two hotel booking have not made any reply but state if you cancel a week before your booking (yes) you will receive a full refund.
not one satang from any of them but my cancel of Amazon got me £5.99 within two days. has any one got any info on these lot, as they do not seem at keen on giving my money back.

"More draconian measures for those that are attempting to live here".
Draconian measures? What? What are the more onerous requirements for extensions that have now been added for those living here?
IF you wander down to Jomtien and have the nerve to apply for an extension of stay based on being Married to a Thai all your questions will be answered.
There are about 16 pages of copies of forms/stamps/certificates/pictures
that all have to have to be in two stacks of 16, but placed in the right order, you also need a witness who has to have ID and be prepared to sign to confirm you
are married and both of you are known to them.
I was a bit rusty as I had not used a Married Visa for a few years, and I was
very surprised at the attitude and distain that the immigration officers treated us (in 16 years my wife has hardly lost her temper to my Knowledge)
but both her and her friend who was a school teacher were shocked at our treatment all because we applied for a legal extension of stay.
they kept us coming back for three days, on the third day they told us the photo's we had given them on day one were not good enough?
we were back in twenty mins with new photos,
on the second day they for first time in 18 years they brought up the TM.30
and that although the TM30 was my landlords problem it was hinted that
there was not going to be any extension until this was fixed...I paid 1200 baht, Mainly because my landlord was sailing somewhere near Australia.
and because I wanted to show them I was not going to be denied a legal
extension, and I think we wore them down after three days, but not a pleasant experience.
we might of been not as well prepared as we could of been but mainly they just seemed to make an issue over the order the documents were filed.
it is called nit-picking where I come from.
I do have everything needed to do a retirement Visa but with the Embassy
letters, my monthly money transfer's not totally doing it for Immigration as my Bank KK detailing ''Dummy Branch'' Bangkok bank wanted a resident
certificate, and then Immigration refused to issue said item. so I thought the married visa cannot be any worse???? Dream on Lad.

The fries comment was lame 12 months ago when these improvements were initiated. i suggest you use your time at home to come up with more original material.
I agree in our office they only need their passport, and I admit that it is a vast improvement on the old method.
but it is the mob that is either sitting/standing around for twenty mins its like a scrum, most times you cannot get a seat. and that is fine until you throw V- 19 in and it then needs something done.

Who do you think he would talk to? He is talking to the nation and his people, like every other head of state in any country. Why are you trying to make yourself so important in a foreign country? In my private opinion it´s much better you go home and wait for the Liverpool match, if not Boris and the UK government will make the whole team and half the country die before that could happen.
To all the rest that just spout your nonsense and garbage, I just hope you will eat your words when it shows how good Thailand is coming out of this compared to most other countries in the world.Me and the wife have followed the self isolation method and only go for shopping (6.am)we wear masks whenever we go out, and on one occasion we tried going for a walk by the beach but we had to give that up, with people trying to sell us stuff and then they got annoyed because I told them to keep their distance? I looked around and many Thai's are all sitting together (mostly food vendors) and even when we were walking by the condo the Thai people walked in groups of five or six ?
maybe they all live in one condo but I do not think so, and when I have spoken to the wife over other members of her family who have gone to their village. they appear to visit and travel to each others house's with no separation or isolation whether they have come from other parts of Thailand like Bangkok, The village headman has informed every one they are on 14 day
Quarantine but from what I can figure they come and go as they please..
this is not 100% certain but from what I have heard it does seem very Lax. yet the figures for this Corvid 19 are very low and something seems out of kilter ? not sure what but either the weather (hot) or the Thai people have
some immunity ? or we are not getting the full story.

If that's the case it should have been stated as "No non-provincial Thai's and Foreigners allowed"
from birth Thais are informed they are special and most have bought into the brainwashing and think Non Thais are not the same, it is far easier to run a country if the population have someone to blame who is only a foreigner. and very inferior to The Thai people. remember ''a Thai could not do this'' this has been working for years, people look to outsiders in stead of the real bad dudes...happens in different places with different ''Enemies''/Colours/Races/Religions'' nothing new just happens we are the Targets here.

I have booked flights with Thai Lion Air for the 20th of April and they suspended our flights and offered a flight for about five hours later.
I declined that offer and asked for a full refund, a few days later it was announced we were under emergency rule ?and they suspended all flights from the beginning of April till May, and the Thai government instructed
All Thai Lion Airways to refund all flights that are affected.
I have phoned the TLA number for a week or more but it is shut down and does not even ring.
I have logged into their online site for my booked flight and all that it says is this flight is already canceled.
other flights (with other Airlines) I have booked and paid for have answered my call and have informed me I can get a new flight until next September, or a refund.
has anyone had any joy with this airline? my bank has asked that I contact them around my flight date for other actions, as it does not look good,
Below is a statement from TLA.
All of TLA’s 17 aircraft will be grounded for over a month after it stops operations on Wednesday (Mar 25). The airline is expecting to resume services on May 1.
Passengers who had booked flights between March 25 to April 30 have been offered the option to reschedule, avail credits for later travel, or a full refund.

At Si Racha (which is also part of Chonburi Immigration)1. Marriage ext req docs Thai-Si Racha Dec 19.pdf I was given a list of required documents (in Thai) and I needed two copies of everything. After my wife (the IO refuses to speak to the applicant and will only talk to the wife) presented them the IO messed up both copies together, then pushed the now single pile back to my wife and said each pile should be presented in exactly the same order as written on the list they supplied.
Thanks for the list, we now have a copy each and I will get the Thai one copied in case the dragon lady is having a bad day.

it is par for the course from what I have witnessed lately, my friend had his brother die, he had already had an extension of thirty days.
but after a long spell in ICU the funeral was arranged up country,
my friend got letters from the hospital and the specialist who had overseen the brothers treatment for the last four months. he applied for a further extension to attend the funeral, and he was denied.
two hours after contacting an Agent and handing over six thousand baht he was given the extension at the same desk. yes this is TIT unfortunately.

I want, I booked the flights a month ago.

looks like some great info and for people who have not gone through all the hoops (we were sent away or should I say dismissed a couple of times because we did not have all the forms in the correct order? when I asked
if they had a list of what forms were in what order, I got a glare and an arm waving us away) I did find one a bit later but in Thai of course.
I have copied both lists as at least until next year when no doubt they will bring in new or alter some things, we will be half way to our Visa,
so thanks Lads,
just to point out I am the 3rd person on the list to be liable for a TM30.
after the owner the householder, I believe my description is ''Possessor''
Section 38. The householder, the owner or the possessor of a dwelling place or a hotel manager, who takes in, as a resident, an alien with permission to temporarily stay in the Kingdom,

"as now my wife knows how poorly we are treated when we venture down Immigration lately"
After >2 years enforcing the TM30 report, you or your wife couldn't get it done?
We feel so sorry for you.
actually the TM30 was not mine to fill in, the person who was responsible for the TM30 was at work offshore, as suggested by senior mods on this
site the TM30 is not normally an issue when applying for an extension of stay, in fact in the last 10 years it has never been mentioned at Jomtien
whatever visa I have applied for, but this time I was applying for a visa that is not welcomed by jomtien Immigration, so it was brought up, and the lady on TM30 desk confirmed that it was not down to me or my wife, but there was an outstanding fine and suggested that it would be easier if it was paid for and erased, when the lady on the main desk brought it up, I foolishly mentioned the person responsible was offshore I noticed a slight
smile and I knew she was going to make an issue of it.
but do not feel sorry for us as it is not our responsibility, I could of argued but after three days I wanted the visa done , I now have copies of all the offshore lads passport details/ signatures /house book ect ect for next time.

Does anyone know the procedure when my flight with Thai lion Air is canceled and
replaced by a flight that is not suitable, do I get a refund and look for another flight,
it is one month away so not 100% what is what at present, and if I get stuck up country
can I do my 90 day report to local IMM or police or Village headman, all this was booked
before we had Corvid 19 (a religious ceremony for my wifes deceased parents at the village temple)
plus now several family members have lost their jobs and all have headed to the village
where it looks like my income will have to help feed a few extra mouths. anyone know the drill.

the list looks the B****CKS and I am sure it is correct, but to get past this Application you need determination and calmness and a few Thais (wifes friends) if possible , so they can ask why this visit is made so difficult .
after three days of being sent away for unconvincing reasons we were told the pictures that they had seen on the first day were not up to scratch, we were back inside
twenty mins with all new pictures, when they brought up the TM30 I just queued up and paid the fine that was not mine to pay, and in the end we wore them down (I have never seen my mild Thai wife so angry)
but if you do not want to be bullied into going through an Agent or changing your Visa to suit them, and it made my relationship much better as now my wife knows how poorly we are treated when we venture down Immigration lately, and she realises being a Farang in Thailand is not all fun anymore. Best of Luck.
