  1. I saw this on Amazon. Now who makes these Eneloops?
  2. TBH food is something quite personal, and one person's delicacy might be disgusting to another. Hence, no one should think 'their' taste is superior... For instance, that very expensive, strong smelling blue cheese (I cant remember the name) is something I wouldn't touch with a barge pole! But for some, it's out of this world!
  3. Me too! Had two Colts complete with holsters.
  4. During Sermon at a Mass, the Priest said: "If I had all the Beer in the world, I'd take it and throw it into the river". And the congregation cried, "Amen! " "And if I had all the Wine in the world, I'd take it and throw it in the river". And the congregation cried: "Amen!" "And if I had all the Whiskey and Rum in the world, I'd take it all and throw it in the river". Again the congregation cried: "Amen!"... The Priest sat down. The Junior Priest then stood up and said: "For our closing Hymn, let's turn to page 126 of our Hymn books and sing, "We shall drink from the river". The whole Congregation SCREAMED "HALLELUJAH"!!
  5. No. We all do mistakes. I wonder if there's anyone who had never made a mistake in their entire life... especially after 6 or 7 decades on this planet. Saying he is a fool who should be scorned and ridiculed, is way too much - I would say unacceptable. IMHO
  6. If you are worth a couple of millions of $$$, the age difference would be considered a superfluous minor detail - if it is even noticed!
  7. I was just checking the price of Cheese and realised how extraorinarily expensive it is in Thailand compared to the USA. Is it all due to local taxes or what? Just for a comparison, I show below the price at Walmart and Lazada.
  8. So what are the buttons you pressed? Please, let us also know. ????
  9. I hope the following would be of some help for you to figure out the issue. Thank you for posting the pics. From what I observed, your cable is one side USB-C and the other side (charger side) is USB-A. If this is confirmed the following may be the reasons you are querying. 1. Can I use a 6A 120 watt cable on a phone which came with a 3.1A 33w cable? >>> if the other specs are the same e.g. PD versions, USB versions this should not be a problem. But vice versa, the charging will be degraded. 2. i get no decimal places and I don't get a turbo message. I then get an error message saying "the cable is not connected properly Please try to connect again" >>> This most probably might be due to the difference in the PD versions - on the above posted video, at 0.55 minutes PD (Power Delivery) is explained. The following pics, taken from the same video above, explains the charging currentsof different USB cable types. Can you see which exactly is your cable from these pics? @8.08 @9.:45 @10:25 @10:30 What's the Difference: USB PD 2.0 vs. USB PD 3.0 > Link
  10. 2/ Learn Thai. Good mental exercise, and plenty of free instruction. Where? How?
  11. Can you please post a pic of it's packing with the printed details on it. Or the link to the online product.
  12. Is there any complications encountered when money is transferred to a bank account in Thailand from overseas? What are the limits, if any? (of course I am not referring to millions of $$$$)
  13. Fast charging seems to be quite a 'complicated' procedure. It all depends on the phone, cable and charger design. A higher wattage charger will not necessarily charge faster, if the phone is not designed that way or the cable is not right. Fast charging does not happen continuously - e.g. 0% - 100%. Some phones stops fast charging around 50% - depends on its design. New Samsung phones have a 'Battery Protect mode' which stops the charging at 85%. Basically, fast charging phones 'speaks' with the charger - hence, all 3 should be compatible I will add some interesting articles about this subject. https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/what-is-fast-charging#:~:text=Most phones and other devices, makes faster charging speeds possible.
  14. In my opinion, establishing the rule of law strictly and impartially will definitely address this issue (and many others) - not only in Thailand, anywhere on this planet! Getting it right 100% might be an impossible task where human beings are concerned, but raising it at least to an acceptable level will solve many issues and make life that much more pleasanter. Unfortunately, this seems to be a tough issue...
  15. These days it seems there are quite a lot of fake and inferir brands in the market, and it is very difficult to identify the genuine item. I am m,ostly interested in the AAA and AA sizes. I know there are plenty in the market and on Lazada, Shopee (prices vary from seller to seller, sometimes quite considerably) etc. What are the recommended brands available in Bangkok? How can you ensure it is genuine? Whats the price? Thank you!
  16. Sit for 10 mins with an alcoholic - you will feel life is very stress free. Sit for 10 mins with a priest, monk, sadhus & sanyasis - you will feel like gifting away everything to charity. Sit for 10 mins with a politician - you will feel all your studies are useless. Sit for 10 mins with a life insurance agent - you will feel that it is better to die. Sit for 10 mins with traders - you will feel your earnings are too meagre. Sit for 10 mins with scientists - you will feel the enormity of your ignorance. Sit for 10 mins with good teachers - you will feel like wanting to become a student again. Sit for 10 mins with a farmer or a worker - you will feel you are not working hard enough. Sit for 10 mins with a soldier - you will feel your services & sacrifices are insignificant. Sit for 10 mins with a good friend - you will feel your life is heaven! Sit for 10 mins with your wife - you will feel you are the most useless person on earth.*
  17. 3 men - a priest, a construction worker and an executive - board a plane and have adjoining seats in First Class. The flight attendant welcomes them and gives each a complimentary copy of the Wall Street Journal. They each quickly turn to the crossword puzzle and start. About 20 minutes later the construction worker folds up his paper and looks out the window. The other 2 glance at him a couple of times with some surprise/skepticism. Finally the executive leans forward and says across the priest to the laborer: “did you already solve that whole puzzle?” To which the guy replies: “yeah it was pretty easy today”. So the executive then asks if he’ll mind giving him a hint on an answer. The guy agrees “sure”. Executive: number 5 across - clue: a four letter word that is of feminine origin - I have the last 3 letters as _UNT. Worker: Yup that’s easy it’s aunt A-U-N-T” Priest speaks up: “Either of you guys have an eraser?”
  18. A man who knew everything about liquor and little else, was asked by his old Headmaster to be the Chief Guest at his School’s Annual Day. At the function, he was asked to give an inspiring message to the students. He spoke : “Friends.... in life you will face a number of problems. You should face them like 'Napoleon', walk like 'Johnny Walker' and sing like a 'Bagpiper'. Only then, then the world will give you a 'Royal Salute'. Otherwise it will call you an 'Old Monk' and stick a 'Black Label' on you “. He sat down to a thundering ovation! Spirited Speaker for Sure !!!
