  1. The man bag (or whatever it is called) is quite convenient IMHO. The only downside is that you might leave it somewhere and forget. The simple solution for that, is to make it a habit never to take it off your body. Driving, sitting, etc for long periods, with your wallet, often over stuffed, in the hip pocket may lead to muscle imbalances and nerve irritation in your hips and back.
  2. And how many people on this forum know what shtupping means? I guess that's what a majority wants to do... to shtup!
  3. 20 Bahts for 1 month... Would that break the camel's back? Edit In real, AIS needs only 10 baht for 1 month, but BB minimum is 20 Bahts.
  4. By doing this, my Bank account see some activity, and my SIM is happy to get some money. Edit No. Bank account does not need any link to a Thai number - it just needs some activity . Instead of a phone reload, you can transfer some amount to my bank account to keep your account active!!! ????
  5. Thanks for that link. Yes, during the Covid lock down, BB sent a letter saying my account was going into a dormant state and my GF deposited 500 Bahts and all was tickety boo! Now, I charge my SIM on and off on-line to to keep both 'alive'.
  6. For over 7 years or more, foreigners were having issues opening Bank accounts on Tourist visa. Branch to Branch, of the same Bank, different 'rules' were mentioned. Even on this thread, the different 'rules' in different branches were mentioned. Some even criticised the bank employees! Hence, my screen shot of the 'earlier' Bangkok Banks requirements and todays - ON exactly the same link. It is obvious that some rule has changed. It seems the best option is to ask a Bank manager him/her self.
  7. Sometimes I've tried to search the forum for an old thread, but failed. Recent threads are comparatively easier to search and find. Is there a limit (time) to how far a search can go back? Thank you.
  8. Like I mentioned, it was a couple of years back (20/04/2016). At that time, what the bank needed was on their website. No, I did not open any insurance policy. Below I post a screenshot from an old thread: But today, that link gives this information: So it seems the rules have changed?
  9. Did you try to get 'introduced' by an account holder of the bank? Couple of years ago I opened an account at the Bangkok Bank on a tourist visa.
  10. Is anyone else curious to know who is posting so many "sad" emojis in this thread? Absolutely! It started/increased after becoming anonymous.
  11. There seems to be a Panasonic Eneloop representative in Thailand. I guess they should provide the genuine item. Has anyone tried them? Eneloop Thailand
  12. I guess the outlets are meant to be 'universally' adaptive - just like a travel adapter.
  13. For this type of suspicious incoming email, my suggestion is to check the email address and it will be quite obvious. NEVER click on links... you can have endless problems. The example below, supposed to be from the Bank of Africa
  14. You are correct! On December 21, 2009, Panasonic completed a 400 billion yen ($4.5 billion) acquisition of a 50.2% stake in Sanyo, making Sanyo a subsidiary of Panasonic.[5][6] In April 2011, Sanyo became a wholly owned subsidiary of Panasonic, with its assets integrated into the latter's portfolio. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanyo#:~:text=They became a subsidiary of Panasonic on December 21%2C 2009.
