  1. Isn't it a limited amount per transfer? In theory you could make several transfers as long as they are not above the limit.
  2. One option is to pay by card if you have one associated with your Santander account. Obviously this is a lot more expensive (depending on the card it will set you back up to 1,000 baht per 1,000£ transferred) but if you need money quickly it can be handy. Another option is to open a Wise account in GBP (a pretty straightforward process) and transfer money to it in (either by wire transfer or card) in advance. You can use the associated Wise Mastercard for withdrawals anywhere including Thailand (the Wise fees are low but of course there is the 220 THB fee), make payments such as on Lazada etc., and send money to your Thai bank account in a few seconds when needed.
  3. Good (and obvious) point. I have been called "antivaxxer" countless times on this forum, and I am fine with it, they can call me that if they want to. However, the fact that I have had pretty much all the basic vaccines prior to 2020 would seemingly contradict that. Unless there is a retroactive effect, of course…
  4. I was asking for clarification about the following statement you made: Insurance won't cover COVID costs if you are not vaccinated. Sounds like the false claim "you can't travel internationally if you are not vaccinated" which I have debunked several times on this forum.
  5. Which insurance is that? Mine (Allianz) covers 100% without asking for proof of vax. Not that I would make a claim for a mere sniffle anyway.
  6. Vaccination status of these people?
  7. Lots of the "Frenchmen" you see in Thailand are North-African immigrants who are into Thai boxing.
  8. Spot on, I'm French myself and these guys (any French person will recognize the type instantly just by their attitude and clothing) are a disgrace. I left Phuket a long time ago because of them (I didn't relocate 10,000 km away to have to stand the same scumbags I grew up with).
  9. What is the vaccination status of all these people clogging up the hospitals?
  10. Quality geopolitical analysis… There is an important distinction to make between those who triggered the conflict and those who made it inevitable. Western leaders will fight till the last Ukrainian and trigger WWIII in an attempt to quell the major social unrest which has now become inevitable in their countries due to their policies. Tell me, who has been bombarding the Donbas populations since 2014?
  11. And it's by design.
  12. Still a lot safer than my home country of France where you can't walk around after 8 pm without risking your life.
  13. That's not what he was recruited to do.
  14. I saw à guy jogging with one on yesterday, he was the only guy on the road. It's just sad at that point.
  15. It's called the elephant in the room. It will inevitably come out, unless it's covered up by a world war, which would be rather convenient.
  16. You keep on wearing it if it makes you happy. I chose not to inhale my own carbon dioxide and never made my kid do it either. Each to their own.
  17. And for Covid we already have them. All the informed people know them.
  18. You're simply in the wrong country if you're looking for someone to stimulate you intellectually. I find Thailand amazing because it has taught me to think less and enjoy the moment more, which has made me a whole lot happier.
  19. Thanks for the clarification. So you got the jab because you found it to be the best option for you, not because it was mandatory to do it. It is important to be specific as there is an ongoing myth (prevalent on this forum) that it was not possible to travel, both domestically and internationally, without being vaccinated against Covid and as far as I know this is simply false.
  20. I only got vaccinated because it has allowed me to travel. Where did you travel to? I am unvaccinated and travelled from Thailand to Europe and back (as well as within Thailand and Europe) in late 2021 and early 2022 with no issues. … planning to go to a country where an under 9 month proof of vaccination is required… Just out of curiosity, what country is that? Cheers.
  21. So what's a "sex creator"?
  22. They don't do it "to stay safe and healthy", they do it mindlessly because everybody else is doing it. There is nothing more to it.
