  1. During my formative years I had west ham along side QPR ..size wise :o

I always saw Spurs and Arsenal as the biggest, with Spurs being the bigger of the 2 as they stole Gazza and Waddle and had a bit more razzamataz about them when i were a boy.

Then West Ham and Chelsea of a similar size, but West Ham had the better away following back in the early 80s.

Then Palace and QPR again of a similar size, the other London teams including Fulham didnt make it on the scale.

  2. haha! he's a lot of things but i don't know about illegitimately welsh. his mum is welsh and he changed back to her surname didn't he?

Google "ryan giggs is illegitimate he aint got no"

Quite a famous song about the boyo.

  3. vidic and gerrard have probably been the two best players in the league this season. pretty bad that lampard wasn't in the six as he's been very consistent.

Agreed, always been a detractor of Fat Frank but you cant knock him for effort or consistency.

Hasnt Giggs played well in Europe and in cup competitions this year? Fair play to him anyway football would be better if there were more with his outlook and lack of arrogance. Over the last 16 years he must have been the best player in at least 1 of those years without winning it.

    The illigitimate Welsh c**t.

  4. Which places in Bangkok? The good one I knew about Fogo something near Paragon area closed down and is now some other type of bar/eatery.

The other I know about is Suk soi 8 and the meats are meager, not replenished, and of lower quality than I enjoy.

There was one in the Asia Hotel in BKK (10 years ago when i first stayed there), there is access to it from Ratchachewi (however its spelt) BTS stop.

Was enjoyable then but my food standards have risen greatly since then.

  5. Sentiment vote to wrap up his career - worthless.

Let's be honest Giggs isn't the best player. I agree that it's a sentiment vote for his lifetime achievements in football.

What about Ashley Young winning the young player award. The only thing "young" about him is his name. I thought that the young player of the year should be under 21. Maybe I'm wrong. Ashley Young was born in 1985.

He's 24 in July, i always thought he was 20-21.

There hasnt really been any outstanding players for either one, see who gets ManU supporters player of the year.

  6. He's done well this season, West Ham had the potential to be in the mix for relegation when he took over, he seems to have got that bit extra out of his players. He's one of the few managers that seems to want to get on with the job nice and quietly and not be a celebrity manager. ie his lack of USA style wrestling slanging matches that SIR Alex embarresses himself in all too frequently shows he's a bit more dignity.

Just a pity he cant get deny those years at Chelsea that blight his CV.

Haha don't make me laugh son, those Chelsea years are the best he ever experienced, we both know also he will one day be back "home" to manage us, after he gets more experience from managing a small club. :D

They might be poorer but they certainly arent a smaller club! It was always Tottenham and Arsenal as the big 2 London clubs followed by WestHam then your mob, as everyone knows West Ham and the other 2 clubs mentioned have a decent local loyal following that Chelsea havent had.

Lets be honest why would Zola want to leave a club where they dont chop and change their manager every 6 months to go to one that does?

Chelsea are like that wealthy 48 year old male now living in Thailand who was once a bit of a jack the lad in his day, that thinks because he can pull aesthetically pleasing birds over here that he's somehow in the elite of Thailands male bachelors and a bit of a gods gift to the female species. Whereas those of us watching from the outside know its only his money thats distorting his place in the natural pecking order! :o

  7. I saw both the Hatton/Lazcano and Hatton/Mayweather fights. The Lazcano fight in Manchester was a non title fight. It is not uncommon in non-title fights in the US to have the ref in the back pocket of the hometown favorite and that is how it was in the Lazcano fight. If this sounds like American BS fabrication to you, then I doubt you saw the fight.

Ive seen all his fights from about no.3 onwards, but we'll have to agree to disagree on this fight rigging.

Have you ever seen boxing in the Olympics? Have you ever noticed how many world champions there are and how one sanctioning organization will have a #1 contender that isn't even in the top 10 of another sanctioning organization? This is how boxing is.

Youre confusing me here as no Olympic boxer is in any sanctioning organisations list, theyre 2 different sports one is Amateur the other Pro ...... but if you were to say the Olympic bouts were a fix i'd agree.

As for fighters being in one list and not another its down to the promoters connections and how often he works with that specific organisation ... Frank Warren more or less made the WBO with his fighters hence they were always at the top of the ratings, now he's friendly with more recognised organisations.

Hatton isn't near the same fighter that beat Kostya Tszyu.

Id agree he hasnt fought to that level since but he's beaten all apart from one put in front of him and he hasnt ducked anyone, his list of defeated opponents is as good as anyones.

I think for a few rounds this is going to be a great fight.

Agreed theyre styles are perfectly suited for a war should be a good one, but often these kind of fights go the distance.

Anyway go on youtube and see the final round of Carl Froch v Taylor last night, one hel_l of a round.

  8. Its human nature to push your way into a must see game, so whilst this obviously caused the event, they cant be blamed, IMO it was a tragic accident that could have been prevented, but no one, including all clubs couldnt really have given a sh7t about football fans then.

Anyway i was at this game at Hillsboro one of Newcastle fanzines has wrote a good article about, if memory serves though i was in the seats and wasnt aware what was going on, in these games we used to take 15000 to Sheffield.

The paragraph starting "A crowd of 41,134 is recorded for this game" shows this wasnt the first time crushing was a problem here. -

off topic but I for one would love to see Sheff Wed back in the top league, theyre undoubtably a very big club.

The above link has Ally Mccoist going on about the big 2 jock clubs joining the Premier League.

Me personally i think its a terrible idea and why should these 2 get the free handout at the expense of 2 English clubs.

Also if a club from Northern Ireland or the Rep of Ireland were to join i'd bet they could sell 50,000 tickets per home game, or maybe they should let a team from the east coast of America join that would raise TV revenues.

Anyone think its a good idea having non English clubs in the league?

  11. I just wanted to share this excellent offer with you:

Pizza Hut dial 1150 has a meal deal in Pattaya:

    Medium Italian Mix Pizza

    4 New Orleans Wings

    Garlic Bread

    Pepsi Cola

All for just 299 baht delivery free.

    Enjoy!

I never understand why they offer garlic bread in pizza deals, surely after stuffing the stodgy bread based pizza down the last thing people want is more bread.

Pizza Pizza in the 2 shopping malls of Pattaya offer the best pizza by far that ive eaten here.

  12. This fight will not be in Manchester and there are enough real pro's in this weight class to where they won't have to save Hatton to give Pacman another big payday. Hatton's only chance is a lucky shot early.

Hattons never been the biggest puncher its his constant workrate that wears boxers down, but his body shots are outstanding. If Hatton is to win he'll have to be on Pacman like a Nana plaza rash from start to finish.

Manny's last fight was against the shell of a legend, he couldnt have lost that fight, and the fight you speak of well many an underdogs performed well in such a fight often the favourite isnt at his prime for such a fight.

And as for saying the referee was on the take in the Hatton fight thats just complete American bullsh7t fabrication, if you go to France Germany you need to knock them out to win but in England at this level i'd be pretty sure there is no match-fixing, and referees and judges are wholly impartial.

The referee in the Mayweather Hatton fight was certainly one sided was this one on the take????????
