  1. OMG, cod and haddock, superb
  2. My wife has renal chalets but since the "new easy" online system change from the older online system we cannot do online, local immigration don't seem to know why
  3. Hope the cops learnt a thing or two 😁
  4. I did mine via VFS Chiang Mai, I am working from memory but I thought the form said UK would not argue as I may be wrong although confidence high
  5. Having just done my passport I seem to recall that the monies had to be paid using a UK card in sterling.
  6. Whatever they do the question is, will they reverse the decision a few years later?
  7. Can't answer re the transit and the longer flight to UK but I can add that I think China Eastern are a decent airline, yes they serve booze, food good as well I think. Shanghai ultra modern airport, doubt you would have a problem there unless security take a dislike to something in your hand luggage.
  8. Cherry taxi used for years

  10. Never been to one but would love to go, are the locations easy to find / get to from accommodation and when you say early Sunday, what is early?
  11. More runways, OK but not all airlines have resumed flights to Thailand and if they have they are often fewer of them, fewer seats, higher prices. Not easy to get all the proposed capacity being used if the flights don't happen
  12. Yes noticed an increase in booze costs not a decrease, did the tax reduction flounder or is it just the mega monopolies are just taking more and even more profit?
  13. So we can look forward to no burning pollution this year then...
  14. May depend where you are. For me living in Chiang Mai, Suzuki seemingly pulling out of the whole province is an appalling reflection on a company that makes rather good bikes so if you intend to be up here, cant recommend Suzuki
  15. Is this apart of "The ASEAN Agreement on Transboundary Haze Pollution" you know the one that was signed close to 20 years ago to tackle the problem?
  16. Travel to Chiang Mai, whilst every now and then I like the train it is very slow and as a norm most of the journey is at night, so you don't really get to see some of Thailand's wonderful land and city scape. I read the buffet car / food service has been reopened but how good it is post covid I don't know. Booze is still prohibited so it is not for sale. Yes, we currently have quite a bit of pollution, not as bad as in previous years so I am not finding it prohibitive. Apart from that it is a wonderful time of year, still cool in the morning but not for long, mid 30's in the afternoon. quite a lot of life now, things to see and do. If it was me, I would fly.
  17. Can anyone help with how do they stand up to the rain / winds we can get and how much cleaning from dust / dirt etc?
  18. agree, all veg is very expensive so if the farmers aren't getting the dosh it needs looking into
  19. you can never find a 12 yr old when you want one ????
