Some of his recent speeches have been absolutely bizarre, and this is not a man who is articulate, but lately he's been wandering in directions that are completely unknown. Recently the 79-year-old president struggled to pronounce the name of one of his own White House aides, before saying, “They tell me you’re doing great.” And, as the spicy dressing on the word salad, he added a bizarre aside about Unabomber Ted Kaczynski being a great student (“It didn’t work out too well for him” in the end, however, according to Trump, a conclusion that clearly demands intellectual rigor beyond the everyday man or woman.) During a speech in Pittsburgh Tuesday afternoon for the Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit, the 47th president certainly had his faculties on full display. To start, the president claimed, without blinking, that he had already secured $16 trillion in investments into the U.S. economy. For reference, the entire GDP of the United States is under $30 trillion. Now, we all know that Donald is prone to exaggeration. We’ve all heard that his latest idea/bill/haircut is the greatest thing ever, and that some people are saying it’s the most incredible idea/bill/haircut the world has ever seen. But this was clearly not delivered for melodramatic effect. This was the president of the United States claiming that he had single-handedly funded half of capitalism, in six months. President Donald Trump was in Pittsburgh, where his speech was rambling and full of gaffes. Moments later, Trump attempted to introduce Republican Rep. Dan Meuser. “Where’s Dan?” he asked, scanning the crowd. Dave McCormick, seated beside him, had to quietly inform him that all the representatives had stayed in Washington. “Oh, they’re in Washington working on our next bill? Good!” Trump replied. “Now I don’t have to mention their names, although they’re watching on television, I guarantee.” He laughed nervously as he said it, in quite an uncharacteristic way, and then trailed off while muttering, again, that it was “good” that “they” are working on something in D.C. It was oddly difficult to watch. The 79-year-old president then struggled to pronounce the name of one of his own White House aides, before saying, “They tell me you’re doing great.” And, as the spicy dressing on the word salad, he added a bizarre aside about Unabomber Ted Kaczynski being a great student (“It didn’t work out too well for him” in the end, however, according to Trump, a conclusion that clearly demands intellectual rigor beyond the everyday man or woman.) During his address, the president forgot the names of his aides and made statements that aren’t supported by facts. open image in gallery During his address, the president forgot the names of his aides and made statements that aren’t supported by facts. There’s something to be said here about gerontocracy, and the fact that the last election felt like watching two bald grandpas fighting over a comb, and the awfulness of having people on both sides of the aisle (the late Dianne Feinstein and the clearly struggling Mitch McConnell as two examples) hold on to power rather than relinquish it to people who have the mental and physical capacity to wield it.

Will the Epstein saga tear MAGA apart?

Trump was at one point friends with Epstein. “I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy,” Trump told New York magazine in 2002, before there were any public allegations of wrongdoing against multimillionaire money manager. “He’s a lot of fun to be with," Trump said then. "It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side." "I was never on Epstein’s Plane, or at his ‘stupid’ Island,” Trump said in a social media post in January. Flight logs released in 2021 as part of Maxwell’s trial, however, indicated Trump flew on the plane seven times. The logs don't include the ages of the passengers, despite Lieu's assertion there were "young girls aboard." The logs indicate that on one of the trips between New York and Florida he was accompanied by his then-wife Marla Maples and their daughter, Tiffany, and another listed his son Eric as a passenger. Something I’ve heard that doesn’t seem to be being covered are the Epstein files. These files were released. Donald Trump is sort of all over this. There are pictures of him with Jeffrey Epstein. He’s taken multiple plane flights with Epstein, with young girls aboard. He’s in call logs with Epstein,” Lieu told reporters Tuesday, urging them to look into the "highly disturbing" allegations. https://www.nbcboston.com/news/national-international/trump-epstein-files-their-relationship-what-to-know/3425592/ -

This man is in a state of severe mental decline, it's been happening for a few years now. I noticed him slowing down during the last year of his first administration, he walks like a 98 year old man, the pace with which he walks up and down stairs is quite alarming, he appears to be wearing a colostomy bag, his hands seem to be trembling, and his thoughts are severely incoherent. This man is experiencing significant senility, and he's the oldest man to ever occupy the office, and is one of the oldest and most feeble 79-year-olds out there.

Report Bangkok’s Iconic Seafood Venue Staneemeehoi Bids Farewell

Will the Epstein saga tear MAGA apart?

They ran on conspiracy theories, appointed people who spent all their time creating and stoking conspiracy theories, including Patel, including Bondi, including lying about the 2020 election, and now their conspiracy theories are biting them in the butt, because this whole Epstein thing is incriminating to the king. He will not stop saying whatever serves his followers, we saw him do that throughout the election cycle, which said I will tell you what I think you want to hear, I will not stop lying, I will not stop saying whatever serves my viewpoints, and then I will shift if it benefits me to shift. This is the non-transparency group, this is the administration that says don't believe you're lying eyes, and we're not going to actually tell you the truth, we're pulling data off our websites, we're actually making sure we can spin whatever story we want and never be held accountable to you. And by the way we will flood the zone with federal agents, we will put them in masks and we will have them refuse to even identify who they are, but no we're the transparency, administration, we're going to get the Deep State. No, this is the Deep State, Trump has become the Deep state, their refusal to be transparent and follow through on promises to their base is exactly why this is coming home to roost. -

Will the Epstein saga tear MAGA apart?
spidermike007 replied to spidermike007's topic in Political Soapbox
It's not. And Trump is finally finding that he's literally smashed up against a 30 ft tall brick wall, and there's no way to go around or over this wall. If he does not come to his senses and stop lying, and release these files he may be finished. The longer this goes on for, the worse it is for the circus clown. His downfall would be a glorious thing for the entire planet and especially for America. -
Transport Thailand's High-Speed Rail Bidding Opens for 2026
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The very short Bangkok to Korat line was started 8 years ago and it's still not complete. I think the Thais simply need to surrender, and let the Chinese take over the railroad construction. The progress that they've made with high-speed trains is astonishing, Thailand is 70 years behind the curve, using antiquated carriages from the 50s and 60s. -
The Expat Paradox: An Appraisal of Westerners in Thailand
spidermike007 replied to kwilco's topic in General Topics
While your rather long-winded post might apply to some expats here in Thailand, I think it depends a lot on location. Pattaya ppears to me to have the lowest quality of expat in the entire country. Next comes Phuket, and then Samui. I think there are a lot of regional areas where the quality of expat is much higher and they're not necessarily attracted to a certain scene. I've met some pretty high caliber guys here so general rules of thumb might apply to some, but I don't think it applies to the majority. -

I think you are referring to the three inch mushroom. That was a few years back and it was from Stormy Daniels rather graphic description, having explained that it was the strangest organ she had ever seen. No wonder he is so insecure! -
That's some fascinating information. I wish that was the reality, there's not a single person that I speak to in America (with the exception of those that are making millions of dollars a year) that are not experiencing hardship right now, that are not complaining about the skyrocketing cost of living, and that are not complaining about the highly diminished quality of life. So who's living in a parallel universe, the one who's reading statistics or the ones who's are living on the ground, in the US?

Canada is a wonderful nation that has a lot to offer, it's quite spectacular, very clean and I've always enjoyed my travels there. From what I understand right now Americans are being treated very kindly, and much emotional support is being offered for their horrific leader, who has been terrorizing Canada lately with his insane rhetoric, seesaw approach to tariffs, and whipsaw policies. With friends like this, who needs enemies? However it looks like Carney is outsmarting the nitwit Trump, and simply finding other markets for their products and commodities, which will eventually become a huge hardship for American manufacturers, but we know who's to blame for that.

USA Bondi Holds Firm: No Change on Epstein Files Despite Trump’s Nod
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in World News
This is becoming the entertainment event of the year so far. Trump is turning on his base who are simply inquiring minds, asking questions. That kind of behavior is strictly forbidden within MAGA, it would seem. Be obedient! Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this “bull——,” hook, line, and sinker,” Trump wrote Wednesday on his Truth Social site, using an expletive in his post. “They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years.” Trump distanced himself from those who have criticized him, calling them “PAST supporters” who had “bought into this ‘bull<deleted>,’ hook, line, and sinker.” “Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work,” he wrote, “don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!” In doing so, Mr. Trump turned to an old playbook: attempting to reframe politically unfavorable issues as the work of Democrats and his political opponents. But the discontent over the Trump administration’s handling of the so-called Epstein files has stemmed from the right, and Democrats merely joined the fray after seeing a splintering of Mr. Trump’s MAGA supporters, many of whom feel betrayed. Far-right conspiracy theorist and podcaster Alex Jones called Trump’s handling of the Epstein situation “the biggest train wreck I’ve ever seen.” "It’s not in character for you to be acting like this,” he said in a video reacting to Trump on Tuesday evening calling the case boring. “I support you, but we built the movement you rode in on. You’re not the movement. You just surfed in on it.” His problem? That nothing-to-see-here approach doesn’t work for those who’ve learned from him they must not give up until the government’s deepest, darkest secrets are exposed. Last week, the Justice Department and the FBI abruptly walked back the notion there’s an Epstein client list of elites who participated in the wealthy New York financier’s trafficking of underage girls. Trump quickly defended Attorney General Pam Bondi and chided a reporter for daring to ask about the documents. “I don’t understand why the Jeffrey Epstein case would be of interest to anybody.” he said. The post also highlights Mr. Trump’s longstanding belief that he can convince his followers of nearly anything without losing their support. -
Myanmar Tourism Slips as Foreign Arrivals Dip in 2025
spidermike007 replied to geovalin's topic in Myanmar News
Let's go to Burma this year honey for vacation. I hear that there's only a 10% chance of us dying and wouldn't it be incredible to watch the local people around us getting slaughtered by a genocidal junta? Now that's my idea of a great vacation. And I hear the hotels are really cheap now. And there will be at least 12 other tourists in Burma at the same time. -

What Would Make You Leave Thailand, Permanently?
spidermike007 replied to SoCal1990's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
You would have to move to a smaller town, someplace rural, or someplace like Little Rock, or Detroit to find a decent place for $1500 anymore. And the other costs of living are now astronomical. The US is not an option. It represents a very low quality of life, for all who don't own a nice home which is fully paid for. -

Trump appears to be turning on his own supporters, who have the audacity to question Bondi’s handling of this fiasco. He seems to be overwhelmed that this will not just go away. But the discontent over the Trump administration’s handling of the so-called Epstein files has stemmed from the right, and Democrats merely joined the fray after seeing a splintering of Mr. Trump’s MAGA supporters, many of whom feel betrayed. I've always referred to it as a free pass for a gay experience, to some extent without stigma attached. Let's not forget 90% of ladyboys are pre-op, and still have their packages. So the all-important question, or should I say the big mystery for those of us who don't go down that path, is what happens to the package while you're fooling around? And if so, what isn't gay about that? Regardless of the breasts.

There's a big difference between paying a bar fine and taking a gal back to your room, and getting intimate with a girl in a bar. That's highly inappropriate, there are very few who like it or enjoy it, and it's just incredibly crass behavior on the part of the customer. Nothing wrong with a little petting or affection, but kissing a bar girl on the lips is taking it way too far. Some guys come here and they just have a total misunderstanding about all the unspoken rules, and a great lack of respect for the gals.

You forget that was in a very different era, and a very different standard applied. Today things are supposed to be conducted in a more civil manner, and stealing land, stealing territories, evicting people from their homes and demolishing their homes that were constructed with hard-earned money, is no longer considered civilized behavior. Thankfully it's considered heinous behavior by most, conducted by a genocidal regime that has forgotten every single lesson they were supposed to have learned from the Holocaust. The recent Gaza campaign adds a significant amount of additional evidence pointing towards severe moral bankruptcy, on the part of Israeli leadership. Sad, pathetic, dishonorable and it ensures decades of harsh blowback.

Well the fortunate part is that for those that you think are behaving in a disgraceful manner (not loyal to the goombah) we're not really being seen, we're not on the world stage. When you're on the world stage and you're supposed to be representing your country, I do believe a different standard applies, don't you? Or has that gone out the window too?
