  1. The US buys nearly half of its imported oil from Canada and 90% of its imported natural gas from Canada, the nation that they're cutting off by imposing huge tariffs on. Trump - dumb and dumber.
  2. 100 minutes of insane ranting, pure lies and absolute nonsense to a completely sycophantic and compliant Congress. Trump is a plague. That much is a apparent by now.
  3. And why would those with Danish citizenship give up free Healthcare, and a safety net for seniors? A friend of mine from Holland just recently put his mother in a rather luxurious nursing home, he said it's the equivalent of many five-star hotels that he's been to. She has a large, luxurious room with a private balcony overlooking the river. His total outlay per month is 900 euros month. A trashy facility in the US is $9,000 a month and a nice facility is $15,000 a month and up. I know couples who spend $2000 to $3,000 a month on health insurance alone, in the US. It is an unregulated mafia. Just another reason why Greenland and Canada would never choose to be a part of the US. In the process their quality of life would diminished dramatically. In Denmark, the welfare state is characterised by an extensive social security system and a high degree of income equality. All Danish citizens have equal access to education and health care regardless of their social and financial background. Similarly, every citizen is entitled to a limited compensation for loss of income due to unemployment, disability, or illness – just to name a few of the public services that the welfare system provides. The welfare system does indeed benefit each individual citizen but the main purpose of the Danish welfare model is to ensure healthcare and education for all citizens in order to provide high quality human capital/first class employees of great benefit to the taxpaying companies and hence to the Danish economy. https://denmark.dk/society-and-business/the-danish-welfare-state In other words, the polar opposite of the US, where if an older couple does not have hugely expensive health care, they could lose everything with one illness. So, why would any Dane choose to be American? A land owned and controlled by Big pharma, corrupt lobbyists, greedy out of control corporations and a highly dysfunctional government. They would have to be insane.
  4. This man looked entirely unhinged during his hundred minute rant, he said nothing new, he just reiterated oodles and oodles of nonsense, and he simply repeated one lie after another. The bottom line is his poll numbers are declining, his support is declining, people are figuring out who he truly is, and the world is realizing this guy is a monster, with evil intentions, a terrible negotiator, and bent upon preventing world peace with his destruction of alliances, bent upon making sure that the economy does not improve, with his crazy dumb tariff policies, and bent upon collapsing America. That's the only reasonable explanation for his policies and his bizarre antics.
  5. Thailand's government has defended the move, claiming it was legal and aligned with their human rights policies. What these numbskulls meant to say is that since Thailand does not have a human rights policy. It was not against any of it this, because there is none of this. This is really a bad look for Thailand, considering the fact that multiple nations offered asylum. What this essentially means is that they would rather send these people back to have their organs harvested, and in the process obey their masters in China. The world knows Thailand is not a democracy and the world knows that the extremely toxic army still has a tremendous amount of influence here, even though they have been completely useless for decades now.
  6. There is no question that the Saudis were responsible for 9/11, and they're likely continuing to sponsor terror to this day. If you want to single out enemies of many states, certainly Saudi Arabia is one of them. And not only is their brand of Wahhabism completely repulsive, nobody should ever be allowed to migrate, if they are a Saudi national, unless they can prove no adherence to that violent and extremist faith.
  7. A security guard or a bouncer working at one of these clubs should be highly trained in the art of de-escalation. They can certainly afford to do so and to not do so is negligent and bordering on belligerent. Also when one acts up and engages in assault, not only should the guard be held responsible but the owner of the club should be too.
  8. A very long prison term, or decades in a penal colony would do this creep some good.
  9. Canada is a great nation. A gorgeous nation. The 10th largest economy in the world. Very vibrant. Very productive. It has its share of problems, but all countries do. For Americans to be lecturing Canadians about the greatness of the US, and the sad state of Canada, at this stage of the game is a bit sad and pathetic.
  10. Though I agree with your sentiment 100%, the US currently has the great misfortune of having this absolute goon representing them around the world, so in essence the US is the big problem, until we can figure out a way to get rid of him.
  11. This sums him up perfectly: Someone asked "Why do some British people not like Donald Trump?" Nate White, an articulate and witty writer from England, wrote this magnificent response: "A few things spring to mind. Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace - all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief. Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing - not once, ever. I don’t say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility - for us, to lack humour is almost inhuman. But with Trump, it’s a fact. He doesn’t even seem to understand what a joke is - his idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty.Trump is a troll. And like all trolls, he is never funny and he never laughs; he only crows or jeers. And scarily, he doesn’t just talk in crude, witless insults - he actually thinks in them. His mind is a simple bot-like algorithm of petty prejudices and knee-jerk nastiness. There is never any under-layer of irony, complexity, nuance or depth. It’s all surface. Some Americans might see this as refreshingly upfront. Well, we don’t. We see it as having no inner world, no soul. And in Britain we traditionally side with David, not Goliath. All our heroes are plucky underdogs: Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist. Trump is neither plucky, nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite of that. He’s not even a spoiled rich-boy, or a greedy fat-cat. He’s more a fat white slug. A Jabba the Hutt of privilege. And worse, he is that most unforgivable of all things to the British: a bully. That is, except when he is among bullies; then he suddenly transforms into a snivelling sidekick instead. There are unspoken rules to this stuff - the Queensberry rules of basic decency - and he breaks them all. He punches downwards - which a gentleman should, would, could never do - and every blow he aims is below the belt. He particularly likes to kick the vulnerable or voiceless - and he kicks them when they are down. So the fact that a significant minority - perhaps a third - of Americans look at what he does, listen to what he says, and then think 'Yeah, he seems like my kind of guy’ is a matter of some confusion and no little distress to British people, given that:* Americans are supposed to be nicer than us, and mostly are.* You don't need a particularly keen eye for detail to spot a few flaws in the man. This last point is what especially confuses and dismays British people, and many other people too; his faults seem pretty bloody hard to miss. After all, it’s impossible to read a single tweet, or hear him speak a sentence or two, without staring deep into the abyss. He turns being artless into an art form; he is a Picasso of pettiness; a Shakespeare of bull<deleted>. His faults are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on ad infinitum. God knows there have always been stupid people in the world, and plenty of nasty people too. But rarely has stupidity been so nasty, or nastiness so stupid.
  12. Your are lecturing a fully compromised parrot, one who simply repeats slogans, without having anything to back it up.
  13. Trump is a childish clown who has very little understanding of geopolitics and is in the pocket of Putin on some level none of us really know exactly what Putin has on them but there's no doubt that he has something. And then there's just his simple love for despots and dictators. Trump has betrayed every ally America has ever had, and he is diminishing the US daily, contrary to what he says. He's making America smaller and less significant every month his pathetic self remains in office.
  14. Until we get rid of Trump and the plague that he has reigned down upon America and the world, the US simply cannot be trusted anymore. They are a highly unreliable partner, and they are consistently acting against the interests of their allies. He is causing a new world disorder.
  15. Trump is going to pay a huge price for his highly ignorant trade wars, which are a big tax on the American people. There's only one stat you have to be concerned with. Canada supplies about 60% of the crude oil and 99% of the natural gas that the United States imports. Next to that the US gets a huge amount of its rare earth and other minerals from Canada. Without that the US is dead in the water and with that, the increasedd tariffs amount to a spike in inflation, and increased costs for the American consumer. The same applies to Mexico and China. The US cannot live without them, and Trump supporters will soon see how costly his extremely destructive and reckless behavior really is.
  16. Trump will do or say anything to deflect from the fact that his poll numbers are dropping his support is dropping and people are reacting to his unique brand of mayhem, economic destruction, chaos, and world wrecking. Republican voters are speaking out at these Town Halls in a very angry fashion, as they are highly offended that the man that they voted for is causing them to lose their jobs, increasing the cost of goods, and lowering world security. It's pretty simple really. They are hugely disappointed with both him and Musk.
  17. Many people are thinking at this point in time that in order for peace to happen in this world Trump needs to be impeached or exiled, along with Johnson, Hegseth, Vance, and many of the other administration fools. Those guys are all blazing idiots and Zelensky is a hero.
  18. First of all how do you fall in love with a YouTuber, how do you become that big a fan, and how do you start to believe the nonsense that's on YouTube? There are some accurate videos, but there's an awful lot of nonsense, and one has to presume that the majority of what's on there is false. I like YouTube for informational videos on how to repair stuff, but in terms of the podcasts and the newscasts, they're all very highly slanted and I question a lot of what's on there. You have to with all social media these days.
  19. If we don't like it, we will reject it! Don't say anything bad about us, just praise us and tell us how good a job we are doing. It's true we don't do anything to benefit the Thai people, and it's true we only work to serve the elite and the oligarchs, but don't mention that, please.
  20. I love the fact that he did not wear a suit to the Oval Office. I think Trump and Vance deserve more disrespect, and frankly I don't think he was interested in doing that mineral deal, as it was a terrible deal for Ukraine. Though I think Trump and Vance intended to set up Zelensky, I think in reality it was the other way around Zelensky set them up, baited them, and they fell for it hook line and sinker, and made themselves look like petty fools and bullies around the world. Which is what they are. Hopefully he can garner enough support in Europe and elsewhere, so he just doesn't need the US anymore, as they have become a less reliable ally, and their influence throughout the world is declining by the day. The other aspect of this equation that no Republican seems to want to discuss is that Musk dresses like a bit of a slob, yet?
  21. Very typical, this is something to be expected from a guy like this, and from this very hapless administration. Russia continues their hacking and cyber operations against us, and we likely let the Chinese and the North Koreans and the Iranians have comfort in knowing that we're not pursuing them, we're just letting them act against our interests. That is just who Don is.
  22. It's a fascinating thing on this forum, whenever somebody asks for a link it's typically because they have never bothered to do any research on their own. Just do a simple search like "organ harvesting in China" and you will come up with 200 different reports from multiple organizations on this very topic.
  23. Well there's no question that driving carefully will help to save lives, including your own. However you just can't account for the other guy here, and I constantly see people making errors in judgment that absolutely boggle the mind, and one has to be on the constant lookout for these utterly reckless fools. What are the inherent risks involved in piloting my bike, car or truck onto the safety lane of a major highway, in the wrong direction, with big trucks coming at me at 100kph? Or onto a lane of a major highway, with oncoming traffic going 120kph? Is it worth sacrificing my life, or my ability to walk for the rest of my life? How will my death affect my kids? Hold on, what about the lives of my wife, kids and sister who are in the vehicle with me, and I am responsible for their safety. Wow. That would be a big loss. An entire family. Maybe I should act like an adult, and be prudent and careful. What if I waited four seconds for the highway lane to be completely clear, rather than just barge into it now, and risk everything?
  24. Though GDP per capita is not a flawless measure of individual prosperity. Ha. This is highly misleading information as the cost of living in the US has increased to such a dramatic extent. Never before have Americans struggled like they are right now (except during the great depression). Many have two to three jobs and are barely making ends meet, the homeless population is surging like never before, houseless population (which comprises those who choose not to rent anymore and would rather live in their vehicles, than pay $3000 for a bungalow, or small apartment in major cities) is estimated to be as high as 5 million people. Unless you own a home free and clear in America these days, or are earning over $400,000 a year, you are basically screwed. The quality of life in America has declined so dramatically the nation is barely recognizable to those of us who go back and forth. So these kind of studies are almost completely useless. And with these ridiculous new Trump policies it's only going to get worse. America is on a precipitous decline and these new policies are only going to exacerbate that decline.
  25. There's no question that the party needs to be completely disbanded, completely reorganized, and completely rebranded. It's a pretty easy thing to do with this point when compared to the absolute fools that are in control at the moment. The trick is to give it some time as there's no question that the GOP will begin to unravel, with falling poll numbers, as people start to realize just how destructive Trump's policies are.
