  1. Very very few people want him, and very very few people seem to like him anymore. After selling out to the army recently in order to gain power and return to Thailand, that was kind of the last straw. Even my friends in Issan are saying that he's a nobody now. He has brought on his own irrelevancy. See ya!
  2. There are two points here worth making, number one is nobody can do anything to tarnish the image of Pattaya more than it's already been tarnished, and number two the motorcycle taxis, tuk tuks, and car taxis have mafias that are far more powerful than the police or the army. They would appear to be virtually untouchable.
  3. I am from a very low class environment, and have absolutely no education. That is why I like dark skinned women, no doubt.
  4. For me there's just no question that the dark skinned women are the best of what Thailand has to offer. Some of them are absolutely exquisite, white skin and whiteness is so spectacularly overrated.
  5. You raise a valid point and there's no question that the quality of tourists and and some expats have declined significantly over the years. That's Thailand's own fault, they have opened themselves up to anyone and everyone in a desperate bid to increase the tourism numbers. As I've said many times before quantity over quality only works if you're selling $2 items at a swap meet. The bozos that run this country have no concept of that and they possess not even a nanogram of wisdom. In addition they've invited in the Russians with very favorable treatment and it's likely that the Russians have brought with them an element of the Bratva, since a very significant portion of Russians who are now residing in Thailand are involved in organized crime or crime of some sort, that's just who they are and where they come from.
  6. I could think of at least a dozen ways to straighten this kid out, if I was his teacher it is likely he would be misbehaving for less than one day. I would put him in his place like there was no tomorrow. Shame, humiliation, or many other creative ways to tame his ridiculousness.
  7. The question that comes to mind when you see a post like this is where are the parents, and why did the parents even bother to have a child, if they were not able to take care of that child? Having a child is a big responsibility, it's a sacred responsibility and if you're not able to look after the children you don't deserve to have them, and you shouldn't have them.
  8. There are a number of problems with regard to this post, the first being that the police enforcement of gambling is highly selective and there's very little in the way of a deterrent. It's very likely that the higher-ups in the RTP are involved in the promotion of gambling themselves. The second thing that comes to mind is why on earth with this guy post something like that? What is he thinking, is he 16 years old, or did he never mature beyond 16? Is he trying to incite people, is he trying to cause problems? Only somebody with an IQ of under 75 would post something like this, so he's essentially saying to the world that he's spectacularly stupid.
  9. Sorry to say but if you're a supporter of Trump you simply are disqualified when it comes to talking about integrity, honesty, character, or any type of honor. Period. Even my friends that are the most ardent supporters of Huge Don agree that the man has no character, the man has no integrity, and the man is a crook. They simply like his policy. He is indefensive.
  10. Well I'm not sure if I would refer to politicians as kids so much as men with juvenile minds and total incompetence. And men who are morally bankrupt. Kids themselves, I consider them overrated, but obviously I'm in the minority.
  11. 80, and worth $310,000,000. I would not care either.
  12. Good news for Biden. Trump is a lying shell of a man, and a convicted felon, who is semi senile, cannot negotiate his way out of a paper bag, lost every negotiation with foreign leaders while president, was the 44th worst ever, and had a failed record. How anyone could vote for 4 more years of this is astounding.
  13. Thats a good thing. Few things in this world are more over rated than kids.
  14. He does seem to be rather unhinged. However, questioning the Israeli narrative has become weaponised and is nearly forbidden. The Israeli lobby is the largest in the US, and anyone questioning anything Israel does is automatically branded as being a Jew hater and anti semetic. That is disgusting and anti democratic. How did a nation born of the holocaust cast 750,000 Palestinians out of their homes, upon the founding of the nation and continue 76 years of extreme oppression? If this topic is of interest, I highly recommend the film Israelism. Great documentary on the subject.
  15. All his travel prior to the debate, plus one week of relentless prep work left him worn out. It was dumb planning. He is likely still the best and only option. Compared to his opponent, he is infinitely more fit for the office and has accomplished alot during his presidency. What did Trump do in 4 years besides cut taxes for highly profitable corporations, start a trade war that led to a massive inflationary cycle, and raise the deficit by $7 billion? Biden has: Expanded health care to millions of families. Lowered the price of insulin to $35 for seniors. Created more jobs than any president in history. Vaccinated the country and reopened our schools. Took the largest climate action in the history of the world. Canceled student loans for nearly 5 million people Rallied the world in support of Ukraine, and expanded NATO while doing it. Passed the largest national funding for passenger rail since the founding of Amtrak. Banned chokeholds and no-knock entries by federal law enforcement, and restricted the transfer of military equipment to police departments. Passed the largest investment in bridges and roads in our history. Pardoned thousands of Americans federally convicted of marijuana possession. Expanded benefits to veterans who have been exposed to toxic chemicals Officially protected same-sex marriage federally. Passed the first gun violence prevention bill in 30 years Saved the pensions of more than 1 million union workers. Averted a banking crisis (remember that?). Expanded paid overtime to working families. Made birth control pills available over the counter. Made renewable energy the #2 source of electricity in America. Moved to reschedule Marijuana. Shifted the microchip supply chain back to the United States. Put the first Black woman on the Supreme Court.
  16. No. Absolutely not. Only when dealing with immigration, if you need it for banking, or when traveling outside of the country. Too risky otherwise. A color copy of your passport and visa page is ALWAYS adequate. Or a pink ID card, or local DL is fine.
  17. This is such an extreme and callous act, this fool should have his license permanently revoked, be fined a million baht, and be arrested for assault. Without a deterrent, how does society behave?
  18. There is zero creativity involved with adults collecting toys. Or kids, for that matter.
  19. Defamation laws are written by cowards, and written for cowards, to protect those that are unwilling or incapable of offering good quality and good service. May they all be called out by name. Defiance in the face of cowardice and ignorance is a courageous and righteous form of action.
  20. Many countries contain large immigrant populations in the West, the US being one of the highest, however a reasonable amount of assimilation should be required and should be expected, and for those who utterly refuse to assimilate that becomes very problematic. So their need to be systems put in place to ensure that that doesn't happen. I would advocate a long-term citizenship application with proof required that assimilation is taking place, and that includes the daughters and sons, both.
  21. I suppose there should be a scale of heinousness and if there were such a scale my guess is that Russia and China would be at the very top of countries with bad intentions over the past century or so.
  22. Some of us use this forum to vent, but we do have some good things to say about Thailand and the Thai people, from time to time. In your case that just does not seem to happen. Might I suggest a couple of brands of laxative? They're very effective and they can make a world of difference with your attitude. Life here is good. Take a look around. It beats living back home by a huge margin.
  23. I was first there in 1976. No resorts. A few bungalows on the beaches. Beachfront land was 1,000 baht a rai. They could not give it away. Very charming. Went back in 1986. Had developed alot. Still very nice. Again in 1993. Far more development. Still amazing. Azure seas. Spectacular women everywhere. Great food. Did not return until around 2008. It was degraded, for the most part. But, still decent. Good nightlife. Again a few years ago. Then again last year. It was dreadful. Packed with Russians and Arabs. Low end tourism has taken over. No need to ever return. The charm is lost. The over development is stunning. The prices were crazy.
  24. Nothing really surprises me these days and foreigners misbehaving since seems to get more and more attention I don't think that this kind of thing is going to diminish anytime soon because Thailand seems to be attracting a lower and lower quality element as time passes. Quantity over quality is never a good idea unless you're selling $2 items at a swap meet. I wonder if the authorities will ever figure that out, I think it's just over their heads. Normal people don't behave like this, normal people don't just punch people randomly, however the terrible aspect of this is that foreigners misbehaving seems to be attracting more and more media attention, and for some reason it seems to be a very popular topic.
  25. Is it fair to say that the media is overusing the term outrage? I would say they were surprised, I would say perhaps they were shocked, but outrage is just a bit strong to describe one's reaction to the price of a can of beans. Yes it's overpriced, and yes the markups is probably high, but some things here are overpriced and we simply avoid them, other things are reasonable and we buy them. Outrage? Please.
