  1. I don’t think he has a coherent value structure as most of us understand it. I think we’re seeing a president who’s operating without anything any of us would recognize as a conscience. Truly. It is about showing what he can get away with. It’s about showing his enemies that what they support, he can tear down. It is all about displays of brute strength. He gets off on that, and in that sense, it seems not so much an autocracy but a flexocracy. Let me show you how I can flex my bicep as I use it to power my fist coming into your face. It’s not about any coherent values. It’s not about any North Star. It’s about showing that you can turn the boat 180 degrees around and that you can do whatever you want and you can bring the people who opposed you to their knees. Trump’s idea of power. If I can destroy, if I can defile and march on relatively unscathed and unpunished, that makes me powerful. Other people can’t get away with it, but that’s how dominant and superior I am.
  2. Sure that would apply if you already saved it on your PC, but it would certainly not apply to a database like Google, which is easily manipulated by money and power.
  3. No, for the most part it was Generation X that's responsible for Generation Z, not the Boomers. The Boomers are grandparents are ready.
  4. I don't know why the Democrats would even have accepted help from Biden. As a Democrat I can say he wasn't a particularly good president, and he was a huge liability towards the end. He should have bowed out 2 years ago and he was one of the reasons why the Democrats lost, so why on earth would they resuscitate this dinosaur?
  5. We don't want Israeli tourists, stay away please! Oh wait a minute, word got around and Israeli tourists are staying away, could you please come back now? We were mistaken, sorry but we need more tourists, so please come back, please.
  6. Say it ain't so. What a surprise. The anti-corruption department is probably one of the most corrupt departments in the country. Every single department in Thailand is corrupt from the local, to the state government, to the federal government. You cannot get a position within the government at any level, the police, customs or immigration without buying that position. Everybody knows that and fortunes are being made on a daily basis. My woman's sister-in-law just paid 200,000 baht for a lowly 10,000 baht a month position in their local village. It's so common. Of course reform is just a silly dream, everybody's making so much money with this bizarre patronage system, when hundreds of thousands of baht are being paid for a low position and millions are being paid for a high position. The fortunes that are being made and the illegal and illicit funds that are being collected are astonishing and shameful. Thanksin? Just another corrupt dinosaur.
  7. I think cutting back on some of the programs was a good idea, and I think doing an analysis on the program overall was necessary. I just think the way that Trump and Musk went about it was nasty, and pathetic. There are relatively small amounts of money that are helping to provide medicine to keep children alive, and helping to prevent disease that takes out tens of thousands of people in the poorest nations. Those types of programs should not have been touched, and the fact that they were is testament to just how dark-hearted and malicious Trump and Musk truly are. Are you even willing to discuss these kind of issues or is it strictly forbidden within your party?
  8. I think compared to Gen Z we were strong, we grew up playing outdoors, we had the great fortune of growing up without having a device anatomically attached to our hands, and we were fortunate enough to grow up knowing the value of thick skin and perseverance. I don't see much of that these days. I consider the current crop to be the snowflake generation.
  9. Oops. Guess I didn't pack my chute well enough. Oh well. I think quite the contrary, these types of videos should be encouraged as they are cautionary tales, and they show the effects of pure and total foolishness, recklessness, disregard for ones body, and absolute hubris.
  10. Well how about the concept of inequality, how about the concept of a billionaire who utterly refuses to do anything to benefit mankind? How about pure stinginess and the way that affects the poor people of the world? How about when one of the richest nations on earth decides to pull back and stop helping the poorest of the poor? Isn't that sort of on topic? You can accuse me of bringing Trump into every topic but I can accuse you of never being willing to discuss or criticize issues that you disapprove of, that he is responsible for. Or is such fealty required that it's simply not possible for a Trump supporter to criticize him anymore, on any level at any time? That is very sad and quite scary.
  11. It's quite obvious that Russia cannot be trusted, and they're always willing to break an agreement if it benefits them one iota.
  12. From what I hear from a few different friends that have been seriously involved with Russian women, they would quite literally cut your heart out of your chest, if you pissed them off sufficiently, or if it benefited them sufficiently. That's just not the kind of beauty, nor the kind of soul I am seeking in this world. I much prefer kindness.
  13. I don't think he's a spy but you can certainly make an argument that he's a traitor, and it's very difficult to make an argument that he's a patriot.
  14. Thank you. If it were not for the minerals, oil and natural gas, I believe Russia would be a highly irrelevant state. Sure, it had alot of culture. Had. What have it's contributions been since the middle of the 20th century? You can make an argument that the space program was something that had some benefit for mankind, but beyond that i can't think of a single thing. One may ask why has Putin chosen this moment to make his move on Ukraine? As many have pointed out, Russia is an objectively weak state — “Upper Volta with nuclear weapons,” as someone once quipped — with a nominal G.D.P. smaller than that of South Korea. Outside of energy, minerals and second-rate military equipment, it produces almost nothing that outsiders want: no Russian iPhone, Lexus or “Fauda.” Putin’s problem with Ukraine, starting with the Maidan uprising of 2014, is that Ukrainians want nothing to do with him. He is despised. And for good reason. If he were a Disney character, he’d be Rapunzel’s mother. But, he is not a Disney character, which makes him a pathetic, aggressive, serial killing despot dictator, who appears to be targeting women and children in his latest escapade, and further walk into the world of darkness.
  15. I think you are lost in space to make a statement like that. I don't see you making any effort whatsoever to move to Russia, nor do I see any expats making any effort to move to that God forsaken land.
  16. I don't think Trump or Thaksin hate their country, but I do think that they hate citizens within their country that are worth less than 5 million dollars, frankly I think they despise all people who are not wealthy, including their supporters.
  17. Let us all take the knee to King Vlad. Give him whatever he wants. Never resist. After all, he is very noble. Just look at what he's done to improve the world in the last 20 years.
  18. I completely agree, Trump would not be where he is without the deep state or a similarly sinister organization or group of very powerful people who put him in that place, and are allowing him to conduct these extremely destructive economic policies. As reckless and as poorly thought out as all this seems, I think it's actually deliberate economic sabotage. Unfortunately the average American and the average person without wealth throughout the world will end up being the victims. Tens of millions of Trump supporters will be very surprised at the end result, and it won't be a pleasant surprise. Very few people truly understand just how sinister both Trump and Musk are.
  19. Have you noticed that poster is nearly always panicked?
  20. Forgive me for thinking this way, but somehow I don't expect an American president to be wearing Halloween type makeup on a daily basis.
  21. Don the Destroyer is hard at work bringing the America to its knees, this has to be intentional, it has to be part of the plan. Won't his supporters be astonished if it actually happens, and then Don and his billionaire buddies swoop in and buy America on the cheap? I think that in the second Trump term he is not only taking America’s soft power and setting it on fire in all sorts of ways, but really making these abrupt decisions that are going to kill hundreds of thousands and maybe more than a million people (USAID) and he’s doing it in this incredibly arbitrary, careless way. I don’t think he has a coherent value structure as most of us understand it. I think we’re seeing a president who’s operating without anything any of us would recognize as a conscience or a semblance of morality.
  22. There is absolutely no new obligation on our parts, to engage the system. Period. No new laws. No passed legislation. It appears to be a huge nothing burger.
  23. They all lie. Dems and Republicans. Name a republican who does not lie. Cite one day Trump has not lied.
  24. Of course. Both sides lie all the time. At the national level there is little difference. Both parties are morally bankrupt. Few Republicans can admit that.
  25. He is an absolutely dreadful man, and a nasty piece of work.
