Dr. Thira Analyzes the COVID-19 Situation in Thailand
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Your silly words mean nothing to me. Less than zero. Like being called a name by a 13 year old. My system was strong enough to fight it off, with little problem, and quickly. That is all I care about. There are billions of bacteria and virus floating around. I have little to no concern about any of them. I live my life, do my thing, and when the grim reaper is ready for me, so be it. -

Part of it is noticing it more, but a large part of it is the backward movement of mankind in the past 20 years or so. We stopped evolving as a species. Popular culture, society, politics, economics, and civilization is moving backwards, and we are regressing. I blame alot of it on social media. Alot of people just do not understand how corrosive, damaging, degrading and nasty social media can be. There are an infinite number of scammers, predators and fraudsters out there. Most of us have the good sense to avoid them, and not get taken in by their unwillingness to do actual work for a living. It boggles the mind, to consider the number of people who fall for these scams. Someone calls you, or contacts you online, and you send them money? Someone you have never met? Someone you have not researched? What gives? Where are the survival instincts? How is a youngster supposed to have the wisdom to know? Granted being asked to send naked pics to a stranger is a bit much. But, I am sure it happens all the time. There is little chance of these people getting apprehended. Very little. And it is a strong indication of just how bent, warped and misguided contemporary culture and society is, that someone can be considered an idol or celebrity just because they have alot of followers on Tik tok, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Personally, I consider social media to be the most corrosive and degenerate force in culture today, and they can be downright dangerous, on multiple levels. Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter addiction is real and it is dangerous. Not only does it prevent you from living in the present, it can also leave you with crippling anxiety and insecurities. But few people talk about the real danger of social media addictions. These addictions make you boring. Nobody wants to hear about what he said on Facebook, what she said on Instagram or what you said on Twitter. If they wanted to know, they would have already seen it, liked it, and moved on. The real danger of social media is not that you might say the wrong thing to the wrong person. The real danger is the fact that one determined person with nothing else to do can find your name, your phone number, your address, your parents’ address, your third-cousin’s Twitter, your boss, your co-worker, your ex-lover, the ex-lover you briefly forgot about and use all this information to systematically tear your life apart piece by piece. But why would someone go through so much trouble to do that? Because it was probably not that hard. There’s a good chance your own web presence coupled with some inventive searches led them straight down the trail to destroying your social life, your relationships and your career all in one fell swoop. -
Best tires for Scooter. Michelin, Pirelli, IRC?
spidermike007 replied to Airwolf's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
IRC are at the bottom of the barrel. Way too hard, terrible grip, very dangerous tires to drive on here, with all the loose gravel, and rain. I prefer Pirelli. Using the angel now on my Forza 350, and it has tremendous grip. My rear end fishtailed many times with the horrendous, stock IRC's. Never with the Pirellis. Michelin are also very good, as are Metzeler, and all are a huge step up from the stock junk the bikes come with. -
Dr. Thira Analyzes the COVID-19 Situation in Thailand
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Sorry, but that does not really mean anything, scientifically, since there are an average of 31,000 people who die here each year from influenza. And 600,000 that die here annually, as a total. How many of those 800 would have died anyway? How many were over 80? How many had significant pre-existing conditions? The zombie apocalypse is behind us. It is endemic now. And each subsequent variation is getting weaker, and less fatal. Can we move on now? https://www.worldlifeexpectancy.com/thailand-influenza-pneumonia -

I think for the most part, only those women under 20 seem to have an interest in sex, in the US now. Likely the same in the UK. After that, it is mostly purpose driven. It is becoming a sexless, purposeless society, that is degenerating, and moving backwards socially, culturally, economically and morally. -
Former PM Thaksin Shinawatra to be eligible for parole next year
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The committee’s chairman, Somchai Sawaengkarn, told Channel 3 after the meeting that the Corrections Department and Police General Hospital had given a fairly clear explanation of the committee’s suspicions. We suspect a deal was cut. The highly corrupt and morally bankrupt army desperately did everything in their power to maintain power and cut a deal with PT. And the morally upstanding man Pita, was cut down at the knees, over a bogus share law, which meant nothing to anybody. But, the objective was accomplished. Ignore the will of the people and do not give them a voice. Ever. -

No matter how you look at it, Thailand is still a great value, as you said. I could cite examples of how ridiculous things have become in the US and Europe. Why bother? -
Trump only running ‘to stay out of prison’
spidermike007 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
This is very possible. No matter the reason, it is only about Don. It was never about "making America great again". That was just a catchy phrase his PR people came up with, one he tried on a crowd of devotees, and one that got the applause meter going crazy. How can a man who cannot negotiate his way out of a wet paper bag improve the country? -
Police in Thailand on Monday raided the Bangkok residence of one of the country’s four deputy national police chiefs, an action the target complained was intended to discredit him due to “politics inside the Royal Thai Police.” Not much difference. He is at the top of the pyramid scheme, no matter how you look at it.

Dr. Thira Analyzes the COVID-19 Situation in Thailand
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Couldn't agree more. With Delta, it was dangerous. Now? If you are already on the edge, maybe. For those of us who are strong, healthy and eat well, it is truly not a concern. The flu or getting a boil or ingrown toenail worries me more. -

No more masking for me. Ever again. My immune system is strong, I had Omi and it was like a minor flu, and this is endemic by now. Zero worries.- 67 replies

Big Joke caught partying with leading online gambling operator
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
None of this should come as a surprise. I consider all the PR, all the grandstanding, all the hogging of the limelight, the nonstop press conferences, statements, declarations, and proclamations and crackdowns to be window dressing, meant to deceive the most naive among us. Think about how many of the guys he went after. Then research how many were actually convicted and jailed. Then consider the fact that he was the top cop in a land where cops are known to be crooked. Statistically, what are the odds he was the exception? 1%? If that. There are two areas that are a shame. 1. They seem to only go after the ones who have been dismissed. Never the current officials. 2. Nothing will come of this, unless they somehow locate the billions of baht of illicit gains, he is likely hiding. Who is the joke on now?- 107 replies

The raid on your house is due to your job being in the rear view, and you no longer being afforded the protection the active police get. You used to be above the law. Hopefully that is no longer the case. And since you were #1, you made the most money in the pyramid scheme. We know you did not turn the money down. See ya. Lock up the Biggest Joke, finally.
-
As the top dog in the largest pyramid scheme, his protestations of innocence, are falling on deaf ears. His self built crusader image never convinced me. And as a top official of the RTP, you are guilty until proven innocent. And finally this man was passed up for the job, so maybe we will see just what he has been up to, and find out about the fortune he has stashed away.
-
And I suppose you assume the joke was truly straight? That the head of one of the largest pyramid schemes ever, just said no thank you. I don't want the hundreds of millions of baht. Give it to someone else. I am the only honest one.

Thai health minister backs cannabis ban, citing surge in teen usage
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Of course the kids are causing problems. That is what kids do. Because a few kids smoke too much is not a scientific nor a rational reason to reverse the progress that has been made. -
Since the RTP is a big pyramid scheme, and up until recently the Biggest Joke was the top dog, it make sense that he has hundreds of millions, if not billions of baht hidden somewhere, and that the straight guy routine was a sham, that so many bought into. However, I am always skeptical of an investigation into one of their own. It rarely results in much, other than a big show that goes nowhere.

Thai health minister backs cannabis ban, citing surge in teen usage
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I did not like Anutin much, but one thing I will give him credit for, is the legalization of cannabis. It was an adult thing to do, and both Public Health Minister Cholnan Srikaew and Sretta are ignorant on the subject, alarmist, and on the wrong side of history.
