I find this unbelievable as so many falangs talk about putting the house in their name that no one can give a positive answer to what constitutes them legally owning that house that they bought.

I`m having a 30 year lease on a land, and want to start the building.
a few questions :
1a. at the city hall, do I need a specific authorization form, where the land owner is giving his approval for the house building ?
1b. do I need an offical legalization of the landowners signature on the authorization document, or not ?
2. if I want to use one of the goverments house plans from 2004, do I need the city hall building permit, while the house plans have allready the goverments pre-approvel ?
3a. concerning tee-money, you give the envelope after you have your building permit, or before ?
3b. what is the adequat amount for a 1 Mio Baht bungalow project.

this free wifi is a mad thing.
when they started in Coffee World this free wifi, I used it in bkk in Sukumv.Soi8 near Nana,
and it was really working.
In the Avenue in Pattaya, they had a protection key, but it isn`t working,
now, they charge the customers at the coffe World in the Pattaya Beach World right before Soi 6.

Military panics, 3 teenagers killed
Southern security forces fired into a crowd of hostile teenagers in the South, killing three of the apparently unarmed youths, the army said early on Tuesday.
Spokesman Col Akara Thiparote was quoted by official Radio Thailand as saying the incident began at a funeral procession in deeply troubled Bannang Sata district of Yala. Members of the crowd shouted that security forces had killed the man being buried.
Youths in the crowd "became unruly," said Col Akara, and rushed at a small security force near the crowd, according to Radio Thailand.
Military reinforcements arrived, but someone in the crowd fired a single shot in the air, panicking the troops, who fired point-blank into the protesters with live ammunition.
"Officials confirm three fatalities from the incident," the spokesman was quoted as saying. Army and police further reinforced the area, and were working last night with local officials to make broadcasts and distribute hastily prepared flyers to explain the security forces' side of the incident.

Chon Buri - Police have offered a reward of 100,000 baht ($3,000) for the capture of the gunman who killed two Russian women tourists on Jomtien beach in Pattaya on Saturday.
Assawin Kwanmuang, chief of the Provincial Police Bureau 2, said the tourists, Livbov Svirkova, 25, and Tatiana Tsimfer, 30, were on a package tour and arrived in Pattaya on Feb 16. It was their first trip to the resort town.
They checked in at a hotel near the spot on the beach where they were found dead in their deckchairs. Each had been shot several times.
Pol Lt-Gen Assawin said records showed the two women were self-employed overseas and had nothing to do with any illegal businesses in Pattaya. They spent their entire time as tourists and there was no evidence they were involved in any business dealings here.
The commissioner said police investigators were looking to find out if they had become involved in a conflict with anyone in Pattaya.
Security cameras recorded what appeared to be an Asian man shooting the women from a distance. The killer did not touch the women's belongings.
The pictures needed to be examined more closely as the image of the man was taken from afar and was quite fuzzy, Pol Lt-Gen Assawin said. A reward of 100,000 baht was being offered for information leading to the capture of the killer.

Couple in khalwat raid may drop second home plan

LANGKAWI: Retired American policeman Randal Barnhart, who was subjected to a 2am raid by religious enforcement officers, is reconsidering his plan to make Malaysia his second home.
“After that unpleasant episode two weeks ago, I do not feel like making Malaysia my second home. It is a pity because both my wife and I really love Langkawi,” he said.
On Oct 12, Barnhart, 62, and his wife Carole, 61, were in their rented condominium in Kuah when enforcement officers continuously knocked on their door at 2am, accusing them of committing khalwat (close proximity).
He said the officers demanded to see his marriage certificate, although he had told them that they were Christians and should not be subjected to Islamic law.
They felt humiliated by the raid by religious enforcement officers in Langkawi recently.
“We find it difficult to forget the unpleasant episode. My wife was so terrified by the incident that she fears sleeping in that condominium,” he added.
Banhart said the officers were rude and insisted on “seeing the woman” when he opened the door.
“My wife had to show herself despite only having a sarong on at that time. We felt humiliated for being treated this way,” he said.
He said he had to send his wife back to the United States on the next available flight because she feared people might return to the condominium to terrify her in the middle of the night.
She flew home on Wednesday.

If these Thai(s) were real friends there is no way they would have let you pay for them night after night, There is such a thing as greng jai which would have been used by them if they had felt uncomfortable with you paying all the time. Is prety clear they were just free loaders out to get drunk for free as often as posible before you wised up and stoped.
Why did they not thank you or even aknowledge the fact you had payed? SIMPLE they did not respect you.
For a farang, it is too easy, to hurt someones feeling, without knowing it,
and to get the reward for this, also without realising this,
and it all ends up for him in an discussion about "a missing thank you", a couple of years later.

seems to be a very difficult subject.
concerning the building permit, or construction permit การขอใบอนุญาตก่อสร้าง
I wasn`t able, to find an application form in english and thai,
only this one, in thai

In my situation, the thai owner of the land is living in europe, what means for me, I have to prepare all paperwork, that have to be signed by the land owner, for giving me, as the land leaser an open way, to get the building permit.
