  1. the main issue, who often the car is in the garage ?

Many times, a damaged cabel from an accident repair is causing + going to -

but also a new radio with an uncareful installation can cause the same effect, and is bringing the battery to its end.

    One way, to avoid it,

    Batter3.gif

cut it off every time, the car is standing for more than 3 days.

  2. every week, I get my vegetarian dish there,

its the first dish at the left side, in front of the cashier, 100 Baht with bred and rice,

and every time, I know, I will come back.

I do the same. I think the food is very good quality and well priced.

I live across the street from The Blue Elephant on Sathorn Road in Bangkok and eat there from time to time. Their prices are very high and the service not always good, more a place "to see and be seen" than a quality restaurant.

But the Carrefour on Rama IV in Bkk has a Blue Elephant outlet inside the store where take-away can be ordered. After 5 or 6 p.m. they cut the prices in half, a genuine bargain.

But the stall here in Pattaya is a regular stop for me. Worst is the noise from the rug-rats game machines, but I buy my food and take it to the other end of the court.

ok, the noise is one thing,

since yesterday, the rice is no longer included, but ok,

    high season, :o

  3. while places, like Pattaya and Betong are not in the first places, that might lead to the conclusion, that this has nothing to do, with sex tourism industry, but more with the normal sexual behavior of the thai workers, who came from the poor regions, to build up Phuket, after the tsunami.

    These workers get infected in a scene, where western tourist never even think about, of joining these places;

so we should accept, that the problem had left the western red light places in Thailand.

So the good news is, Pattaya is back no normal, and you can see it like Amsterdam, Prag, Hamburg and all the other places, with a huge redlight scene.

  6. i dont personally know any builders in the samui area but some good advise given to me was to use a construction firm from the north of thailand. They stay on the site and are cheap and reliable.

you can use free plans :

you can use free plans without building permit, cause they have allready permit

this helps for the first steps

  7. shure, papers are not ready yet, the land was devided by the land department,

next week someone is coming along, for placing the new landmarks,

this is a very good price, others want the land too,

    but you where first,

so, if you want, you pay 20 % deposit, to make it shure.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    yes, thats the bullshit blues

  8. i thought i knew the answer to this one, now not so sure. however, my understanding is.. if the constuction is of free standing concrete posts as opposed to cast insitu posts, just get on with it, no plans needed. if cast and ring beam, plans required. ive had a finger in four thai houses, ie free standing posts,, no plans, permission and house books issued to boot, fairly crewd or basic dwellings. a stuctural dwelling you,ll need engieering plans, veiw and plan, back front, detail, foul water, waste water. hope this helps rather than confuses.oh plus gov approval stamp.

May be, there is a regional factor, that makes the difference.

Another boardmember, crozzy, mentioned on his website,

pre-approved drawings, ready to give to your builder.

    http://www.crossy.co.uk/Thai_House_Plans/

so, I wasn`t shure, if pre-approved means, you don`t need a building permit,

cause you have allready the gov approval stamp.
