They have run out the Indians and Bangladeshi as they are pushing for not to be housed and working like animals;
So bring in a new breed and the process starts all over.
1) No air-con in 45* heat
2) Communal toilets = 1 toilet for 50 people......no toilet paper or bum guns, just a bucket of water and your hand.
3) Slop for food being served, rodents, cockroaches infested rice
4) 6 days 12 hours........shhhhh...
5) Your room mate trying to corn hole you.
6) LOW PAY = 125.00 USD PER MONTH
7) THE STENCH
8) Need I say more.....
and they are the lucky ones, many building labourers end up having to sleep on the floors of the building they are contructing. Qatar does not have a very good record in regard to human rights. You are not allowed to leave the Country without a permission letter from your employee, without this letter you will be detained by the immigration at the airport

Planned to work until I was 67, but the Company I work for has just been bought out and I was informed yesterday that I am on my 30 days notice. So it will be 65 retirement.

Thank you, unfortunately all the Poodle is now overweight after surgery
I love this last photo from you bprinceuk
Do you mean after they've got their sterilization done? I am overweight myself. I should not weigh more than 15kg but I am 17.25kg now. I lost .40kg after my pawrent took me for a long walk. But as the weather at Doi Saket Chiangmai in the evening still hot (about 36-38 C) at 5-8pm makes it hard to continue our routine. I guess I won't loose or perhaps gain some back for my next vaccination.
Yes correct after sterilization

August will be hot, expect temperatures around 48+ C, immigration and luggage can take up to two hours on arrival.

Correct, I renewed my UK passport last year and did not require the photographs to be signed
No they do not.
The U.K. Requires a witness to confirm that the photos you submit with your application are actually you, the back of the photo is agh ed by the witness. Not sure why a witness is needed to get a passport renewed. But that must be a requirement from your home country.
Why is your wife reluctant to try the local police? They might do it.
The witness must be a Policeman, Doctor(MD), Lawyer, Accountant or. JP
Same rules apply in Ireland
Not if you are applying for a new passport.
Only if applying for your first passport. -
Thank you for sharing the nice photographs
We have all of our animals neutered but that is not the norm in our village. Comparing our cats and dogs to the other local animals you would never guess they come from the same gene pool. Most animals seem sort lived and succumb to disease or accident but not before breeding once or twice. People seem to have other priorities, and though things are changing, it will take another generation or two before we see any real focus on animal welfare, in my opinion.

In the UK I used to change my tyres every two years as a best practice, in the tropics someone once told me you should change every two years as the high temperatures cause the tyre quality to deteriate quickly

Nice looking Shepherd, all seem to have different natures, you can have two from the same litter and one will like the sun and the other not. I work in Dubai and a colleague transfered from our office in Switzerland, he brought his Golden Labrador, it also loves to sit outside in the sun, so guess it has Acclimatized

Nice harvest, i would like to grow tomatoes when I retire next year, but I have been told that they are very hard to grow in Thailand and I have no green fingers at all, not a clue about gardening apart from cutting the grass

I have had the Electra Glide and now I have the Road King. I find the Road King is much better for control at very slow speeds than the Glide was.

Congratulations Ms Napasdaporn.
A work colleague of mine did this climb about 12 years ago. He trained hard every day for more than a year, prior to completing the climb, which ended up with him losing two fingers and a toe to frost bite.
