I was on that same bus u speak of-----i had to do yet another loas visa run and i refuse to use those buses from hell that go to UT

So as for the last few runs i have mastered the laos visa run and go from cm to kk to vt--a tad bit longer but well worth it IMO

Yep windy road indeed and thru the mountains but 2 hostesses--good-clean buses and certified thmbs up from me---

Phetprasert bus....they are the yellow buses at the new bus terminal--they have offices in the new and old stations--bus

Im gonna kick myself for giving this out as ive been the only farang on these buses--we even got to watch gladiator---maximus!

Does that bus stop at Phitsanulok? I promised to meet somewhere there. If It doesn't I can see my flying too BKK then flying to CM.

It's a pity that Nok Air stopped the KK to CM route. I love Nok Air.

There is now another airline who fly KK to CM evening flight and not every day, seen the advertisement in KK airport 3 weeks back, very small plane but forget the name of the airline

I had over 2000 credit and I was out of Thailand for 5 months, they shut down my sim. On my return I complained and the lady at the counter said sorry nothing can be done as that is the system. I asked to see the manager and explained the situation, she gave me a new sim and added my previous credit to the new sim.

I arrived from Dubai on the 1st February, it is the busiest that I have seen the immigration at that time of the morning. They were even directing passengers to the fast track lines, which soon started a long que there also. luckily my fast track voucher was free if I had purchased this I would not have been a happy camper.

Good news as my first extension is due for October.

Guess you showed 800k in the bank?

If so, did you obtain the bank letter on the same day?

Yes pass book showing 800,000 in the Bank for more than 3 months and the letter from the Bank was dated the day before,

Completed my annual retirement extension at Khon Kaen immigration office last Wednesday 22nd. Arrived at 08:30 with TM 7 and TM 8 forms already filled out and I was in and out within 15 minutes (extension and multiple entry visa). Very helpful lady immigration officer, no new requirements or extra paper work asked for.

You may want to read up on the Gaines Cooper case, this guys has been claiming non residency for many years while living in the Seychelles and limitting his UK visits to within the 90 day law. He lost his Supreme Court Appeal last October and one of the grounds was that he still owned property in the UK and still had ties to the UK.

Anyone know the name fo this one?

If they give you any stick at the check in just tell them you will get a 30 tourist on arrival at Bangkok

how much is a good rate for a taxi from bangkok u think??? anyone know what a good price is?

I have taken the VIP bus BKK to phon which is just South of KK, 360 Baht, seats larger and much better than the Business class seats on Thai air, journey takes about 5 hours to phon, so maybe will be 6 to KK.

I believe it is onlt Thai Airways, and they have 3 flights per day. Around 2300 baht economy and 4,000 baht business.

RIP little girl, such a tragic loss of a young life. Hope that he gets his pay back every day while in jail. The mother should also be charged for allowing this abuse to happen in the first place, seems that this was not the first time that the little girl suffered at the hands of this man
