I've always wanted to fly First class on a 777 ...

Or taking the Mikki?

Surely the OP was a mis-translation.?
I keep getting " Can I take care you "?

"Old blokes in their 70s" deserve a bit of "loving " too - as well as special needs.
We are still "prospects" because (on average) we are closer to death 555!
But - "You never know - up to Buddha" ...

Glad to hear, that off in the future assuming I make it that far, I won't have to worry about drooling on the Immigration officer's desk.
I'm not worried about drooling (only72) - I'm worried about getting up the stairs at Phuket Immi next extension time.

I suspect that the Trace element content of the fertilizer is only very little. Are trace elements only available in Thailand, and is it important for a lawn that they receive big amounts of it ?
No.
The clue is in the "Trace" Elements - naturally occurring in small traces.

Extreme low or high temperatures are not good for batteries. In very cold environment people often uses some sort of insulation or electric heating, but there is also a Thermo barrier available for hot zones:
What I've experienced is, that in extreme hot climate the battery often dies without any warning at all, usually within 3-5 years.
One day it pulls the starter through like always, next day starter is not moving at all.
In very cold country's like Sweden they even connect the car to an electric outlet to keep the engine and battery warm. Or it won't start at all.
Yes the green plastic bottle hanging on the car i also see a lot in BKK. Don't like it though, one day the thing will fly off and i drive a motorbike.
Battery in the trunk needs long thick copper cables and they are expensive. Also when those cables are damaged and make connection with the chassis you get a huge spark and probably a fire and will see the battery melt down. (i had that one day, no fun)
They do this in very cold parts of Canada too - there are powerpoints on supermarket parking spaces to plug into.
But, these are block heaters to prevent a cracked block in sub-zero C temperatures (when women are shopping) - I suppose there is collateral warming to the battery?

Calcium is good for tomatoes and some other vegetables.
Trace elements are good for all (mostly depleted) soils here.
Seaweed extract is great - like a tonic for plants (never seen it here yet).

We have discussed this before but, to be honest ... till now, I didn't have kids.
Now I have TWIN boys.
I wonder if they did some time in the Army Cadets in a Western country ... would that make them less desirable or disqualify to serve in the Thai armed forces?
Basically ... since they served in one Army ... then divided loyalties?
Three years of part time cadets at high school, or six months full time voluntary service post university graduation gets you out of the two years of draft.
True my younger son had already passed three years of part time military service and now he is exempted from the draft, the elder one is going through the drafting process since last year (postponing), my original question was that if they are eligible for all these military services then why the criteria for admission in Regular Royal Navy and Army schools is different? why both the parents should be Thai Nationals?
Is it possible these military schools don't want to turn out an intelligent, bilingual, questioning, logical , leuk krung Officer?

I do wish that those in the know would make reference to the fact that there is no such thing as a retirement visa or marriage visa. They are merely extensions of a non-O visa for 1 year.
I am amazed at the confusion in this matter.
Incorrect.
A Thai Consulate or Embassy (outside of Thailand) can issue a " Non-immigrant "O" Visa based on Marriage or a Non Immigrant "OA - Retirement" Visa.
These can be extended within Thailand at a Thai Immigration office giving you an Extension based on your original Visa (Buddha willing).
Sorry - another peed ant.

Thanks for an interesting thread.
I invested in a Queensland Redclaw project about 25 years ago.
Unfortunately, like most Qld "managed investment schemes" someone "managed the money" into their own account.
I did get to taste them - delicious - and a big overseas Asian market (particularly weddings - one per plate instead of one rock lobster (western crayfish) per table).
I'm sure the Thais will gobble them up but you need your growout pond in clear sight! (poachers).
Birds were a big problem.

So if you must support a girl in order for her to stay with you, please answer this one simple question:
Why do so many beautiful Thai girls who work as dancers in a bar have a Thai unemployed yabba drunk as a boyfriend? He is a complete loser and sucks all her money off her yet she is happy to stay with him. Why can't I have the same minus the alcohol, abuse, and drugs and I never ask money from her?
Maybe you're a dud root?

In the photo the soldiers are all looking upwards - as if looking for a sniper.
Or were the protesters shot all giants?

I've had a total knee replacement (TKR) at 65 - mainly medial compartment wear but lax cruciate ligaments - hence not uni compartment procedure.
You are partial weight-bearing the next day (and it fkn hurts! as does any procedure where weight-bearing bone is cut) - the end result is excellent - functional and no pain.
As I have balance problems (separate neuro condition) and was subject to falls, it was essential to have "one good leg to stand on".
As an Australian physio specializing in orthopaedic /sports conditions it must be several decades since I last saw a high tibial osteotomy (most of which finished up with an additional TKR.)

The income requirement for an extension based upon marriage is 40k baht and for retirement it is 65K baht.
There is no requirement for the income letter to show the source of your income.
Whilst the "income letter" does not have to show the source of income, some Embassy's do require evidence of the source of funds before a letter will be issued.
Phuket Immi now require proof of the source of the funds to support the embassy/consulate letter.

There are various categories of Non-Immi "O" visas.
Brisbane issues a "retirement" category to those over 50 and proving the financial requirements.
(it is a good example of Consulates interpreting the "Rules" their way - AFAIK no other OZ Consulate isues this category).
This is NOT a Retirement (OA) visa which does not require 90 days exits from the Kingdom.

Apparently all Thai police are paratroopers, as evidenced by their insignia, so is it fair to assume all army personnel are doctors (or at least paramedics) as well?
So displaying the Red Cross would be fair and reasonable?
Unfortunately my guess would be the bunkered soldiers wouldn't know where the nearest pharmacy/hospital is let alone a first-aid kit.
The use of Red cross insignia here is disgraceful and dishonest.

Amazing how it took international scrutiny to make the police appear to do something. Well, not amazing at all.
*Can these motorbike renters not get credit card processing to put a deposit on these just as rental car companies do?
*Can these people not insure their motorbikes? Surely an insurance company would take on the premiums for this.
*No unless you are a registered company and most Thai small businesses are not.
*and No - only a small 3rd party insurance available for scooters which does not cover the owner's damage (no comprehensive insurance available at commercial rates).
Time to go to the Kodak shop and get a wallet size laminated card with your passport face page on the front and your visa copy on the back - 60 baht.
I've done it annually for years - much cheaper than 1000 baht fine.
Carrying your actual passport in "entertainment areas" is at risk of theft from the dippers.

Species that don't adapt to their new environment seldom thrive.
And to imply those who eat local foods, fresh and in season, have "lowered their standards c/f back in the World" is ludicrous.
I say " Get off the stodge or get outta Dodge " 555!

Can a Thai be a Christian and a Buddhist
in General Topics
Posted · Edited by Evilbaz
How can I buy a free pass out of Purgatory?
(I've been a very naughty boy).
Your missus may well enjoy attending a Christian ceremony for all the pomp etc but she probably wont understand much.
I suggest you don't ask her to give up her Buddhist beliefs and practices, particularly placating the spirits to keep the pee lawks away.
I hope your church is not one that practises exclusivity i.e. she can attend and enjoy the outing without having to convert to your religion.
BTW are you going to learn to read Thai so you can join in the chanting at her local temple?
