If you're afraid to go over her head and correct a wrong then, sorry, you lose your right to complain.
I've done it with Immi and things improved greatly.

Thanks. I can wait another few weeks before bringing the cash in. But will GBP improve or worsen during that time? Decisions, decisions!
Today GBP to Baht is very close to its highest for the past month.

It will be your first extension since it will be the first extension of an entry obtained using a visa. That is immigration's definition of first entry.
Sure, that's the "rule" and maybe how it works in Ubon.
But I have been advised in Phuket to do as I reported.
All Immi offices and IOs are different.

I am in a similar situation wanting to get an extension from an OA visa.
As I have previous extensions I've been advised to be safe use the 90 day "seasoning", just in case I encounter a nitpicking IO.

The OP posted on April 16th.
I'm sure he has solved his dilemma by now.
Has he reported back?

You now have to contact them.
They specify it must be on the correct form

The Australian Embassy have their own Stat Decs which are identified as being from them.
You can download one from their website.

>> "I'm smarter than the Thais" attitude<<
You still think its a genuine post lol
No - hence put up or shut up.
You obviously have not read my previous posts.
I also think that the alleged US Embassy advice above is ill advised or BS.
-
About time to put up or shut up.
Take your "I'm smarter than the Thais" attitude to Immigration and tell them you ain't paying the fine.
Please report back if/when you get internet access.

Now quoting yourself to keep trolling - pathetic!

Often the Customs guys are asleep in Phuket.
If not - don't look them in the eyes and keep walking.

idempotent is correct.
It means an operation that has no effect.
The mathematical equivalent would be multiplying by one.
So is impotent - ' unable to take effective action; helpless or powerless ".

The entries on a Non Immi OA are 12 months, not 90 days.

She is Chinese. She cannot get a visa in Penang since Chinese can only get a visa in China unless they are a legal resident of the country where they are applying.

Well enter Visa exempt/VOA from there?
(with a clean passport).

I can't understand why you haven't got a fresh passport yet.

I understand. It doesn't necessarily have to come from my bf but it would help. I'm not going to get myself in trouble. Just want a peaceful resolution that I deserve. I've been doing all my preparations for the trip and struggling with my illness on my own. It seems there's an obstacle with each step I take. It's disheartening knowing that my family don't care enough to help.
Has it occurred to you that the family may see your plans more rationally than you do?

IMHO the starting point to rectify this would be with Immi bosses at the point of entry.

It's simple to change Tabien Baan's you're registered in - those under 18 need a parent's permission.

Go to any Amphur - that birth ID number will identify where she was initially registered.
Then go there and they'll help her sort this out.

Thanks for the help. I am in Chiang Mai, so I have to wait for Consular Outreach visits. Are you able to PM me with a blank copy of the stat dec you used?
It's available from the Embassy website.

The income letter from your embassy will be all you need to meet the 40k baht income requirement.
If you are 50 or over immigration will likely insist you do the extension based upon retirement since your income is greater than the 65k baht required for it.
Just tell them you don't want it as you may want to work here.

Baz, just to be sure, which police clearance do I do? I am a NSW resident. Do I do a police check with them(NSW State police), or do I do the one with the AFP? Not clear to me which one is required. Maybe both acceptable. Thanks.
Just the AFP report - covers all States and can be done online.
