  1. Thailand Pass was cancelled for Thai's June 1, OP now states Thailand Pass is cancelled 1 July. But please feel free to get covid insurance and apply for a Thai Pass if that's what you think lol
  2. Drop the ridiculous mask mandate and I'll be back for 4 months....until then not interested in Thailand visits
  3. Yes, covid insurance is no more Bangkok, 17 June, 2022 – Thailand’s Centre of COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) today approved the removal of the Thailand Pass registration scheme and an US$10,000 health insurance requirement for foreign visitors, effective 1 July, 2022. https://www.tatnews.org/
  4. So far this month they've legalized bars and clubs to re-open, those same bars and clubs to open until 2am instead of 12pm and now hotels to serve booze between 2-5pm All of these things were already happening prior to any announcement. Net effect on Thailand tourism zero
  5. In fairness to Hooters, when they wouldn't serve me a beer until 5pm it was in mid Januray and bars had just opened from covid lockdown. It was enough to put me off so I never went back but they may have changed policy since (don't want a defamation suit lol)
  6. I just realised, I guess we can all delete our useless Morchana app now ????
  7. I wore the mask diligently for four months throughout the hot and humid Mar-May. It even got to the stage I would give the evil stare to falang who either wore it under their nose, over their chin or on their sweaty elbow... 5 weeks back in the freedom of Aussie I've vowed never to be made to wear a mask outside again...pretty simple
  8. Was this ever a thing? I just spent 4 months in Pattaya and only 7-11 restricted alcohol sales between 2-5pm, everything else was no problem Edit: oh wait, Hooters went all in. I turned up at 1 pm for lunch and they told me to come back at 5 if I wanted a beer (so they didn't bother with the 11-2pm)
  9. As the linked article also says temp sensors no longer required, Thailand should be back to 'normal' fom 1 July... ...well except the mask rule is still up in the air. So close but no cigar ????
  10. That fine is constantly quoted as up to 20,000 baht for not wearing a mask
  11. "However, an exact date for easing of the mask mandate has NOT been announced and is NOT set in stone as July 1st, notes the CCSA" Ok, that's me still out then
  12. Your link doesn't say that, talks about 1 June old news
  13. Yes, which is why I'm not coming to Thailand until I can do the same
  14. The big meeting happen yet? Hoping to see no masks, no Thai Pass, no covid insurance, bars/clubs open until 2am Then I can book my flight
